New York, New York and the Best Birthday Ever!

Let me just say that getting older SUCKS really bad!! LOL But if I HAVE to get older, I'm glad my amazing husband helps me do it in style. To celebrate my 50th birthday, Garry surprised me by arranging for the most wonderful weekend in New York City. We had a blast!! We saw Wicked (INCREDIBLE) and Chicago (pretty good), ate tons of good food, grieved for the lives lost at Ground Zero, wandered around Times Square, floated down the Hudson River and around the Statute of Liberty, browsed all five floors of Tiffany's (hello!! five floors?!!!), rode the subway, and negotiated for Prada knock-off handbags on Canal Street. The entire weekend was heaven on earth, I tell ya!! We froze our booties off, but that didn't stop us from doing what we wanted to do. I hope that you have someone as wonderful as I do to help you celebrate your milestone birthdays. It was the most fabulous trip that we've ever taken, and we've been on some pretty fabulous trips. I hope to go back and visit again sometime . . . maybe when it's a little bit warmer though.

When we got home, my mail lady delivered some of the most remarkable birthay RAK's that I've ever seen. Every single one of them made me feel so special and loved. I just wanted to share them with you, because they are all pretty great.

This is the sweetest package of goodies that I received from my friend, Terri. Look at that adorable card!! Don't you just love that hilarious little image - Terri is super talented, so you should run on over to her blog to see all the yummy stuff she posts there. Thanks for the goodies, Terri!

This gorgeous clipboard was made for me by my friend Erin, who just makes me smile all the time. She's one of the funniest and talented papercrafters I know - she thinks outside the box better than anyone. Erin and I have hostessed together for VSN, and I've really enjoyed getting to know her over the last several months. I will be proud to hang this in my "craft room" (code for our extra bedroom) where I will look at it often and think of how inspiring Erin is. Thanks so much Erin!

The rest of these gorgeous cards were sent to me by my other stamping friends, Michelle Lane (another one of my VSN stamping buddies), Lee Murphy (isn't that the most amazing polka dot espresso maker?!! LOL), Lena and Tina Tacker (Tackertwosome on SCS), Debi (Bottomphish on SCS), and Lori and Diane, two WishRAK Birthday Fairies. Sweet, huh? I also received the hilarious Church Ladies card from Jacqueline, Jean (naturecoastcrafter on SCS) and Pat (casep on SCS), some of my other VSN hostess buddies. Am I not the luckiest girl on the face of the earth to have so many wonderful friends?!! Needless to say, every last one of them helped make my 50th birthday the best birthday ever!! Thank you ladies!!

Thanks for stopping by!
