Happy Bird-Day - MAY09VSNPRE2

This is another card that I created for the most recent "Viva Las Vegas" Virtual Stamp Night Mini that took place on 3/28. There were some really fun challenges, but I was only able to complete two of them. For this challenge, you had to create a card using acetate and your card had to have flowers on it - the inspiration for this challenge came from the ceiling in the lobby of the Bellagio Hotel & Casino. So, I pulled out another one of my fun Shirley's 2 Girls' stamps - this one's called Tweet Tweet (SG62). I tried to create a "window" with the acetate and the pink scalloped piece in front of the window was supposed to look like a window box - hmmm . . . not sure if I accomplished what I was trying to do. What do you think? LOL Oh well, I love the bright colors, and I especially love this image because I LOVE birdhouses.

Stamps: Tweet Tweet (SG 62 - Shirley's 2 Girls)
Paper: White CS (Neenah), Tempting Turquoise CS, Hibiscus Burst CS (PTI), Ally's Wonderland DP (SEI), Transparency (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories: Square Classic and Scalloped Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Quickie Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Copic Markers, Effervescance Edge Punch (Fiskars)

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow, you can really see how much of a 3D effect you created when you click on the photo for the enlargement. Uh oh, I have a feeling my next card or scrapbook page is going to take a while, as I experiment with this idea! How fun.

I have to say, though, about your title, that what with the way some of us spend money on craft supplies, it is NOT cheaper than therapy! :-)

Not title, I mean about your blog name. (I'm still new to the blogosphere...)
