We're back again with another amazingly fun Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday challenge!! Are you ready? Well, let's get started then!!

We have another fabulous sketch designed by Joy, and the twist this week is to create a card using ALL RED, with a very small amount of one other color. Too clever, right?!

My sample features the Shirley's 2 Girls image called Proper Binge (SG 506). Isn't she just so sassy?!! I've taken a bit of what I like to call "creative license" in that I flipped the sketch a bit. It's the rebel in me - I just can't help myself!

Oopsie!! I'm Late!!

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry that I'm late with my post today! Can't even explain to you what I was thinking except to tell you that every day is Saturday to me. LOL All the days just sort of blur together into one day. So, hopefully you all will forgive me for being late.

Today's card features another My Cute Stamp set called Sweet Chocolate. Every single image in this clear set is just sooo fun and creative. Holly Jones, the creator of these stamps, must be a very clever girl as I love every single one of her stamp sets. Julie at ABC Toys & Crafts carries a huge selection of My Cute Stamps sets - they all can be found HERE. I used the three different chocolate images, as well as the sentiment. But the sentiment didn't fit into the square, so I cut it in the middle and stamped the two different pieces separately. That's what I love about clear stamps!!

I also used the new Loopy Border and Corner punches. These punches are soooo cool - the sides now fold up for better storage, and they punch really well - even through heavy cardstock!! It appears that ABC Toys & Crafts is temporarily out of stock of these two punches, but I believe that more will be arriving very soon. You can find all the other new Martha Stewart punches HERE.

I also used a few other of my favorite Martha Stewart products. These are two things that no craft room should be without. I used the Glitter Set and the Glue Pad. Okay, first of all, can I just tell you that I have tried every kind of glue pad out there in craft land. The one and ONLY glue pad that actually gave me a clearly stamped impression (not oozing with glue and very detailed) as well as a glue that actually retained glitter and fun flock, without loosing any of that bling, is the Martha Stewart Glue Pad. This pad works time after time. It comes with an extra bottle of glue to refresh the pad, but I haven't had to refresh my pad yet!! Then the Glitter Set has some of the most amazing glitter colors known to man - 18 different colors!! Seriously, these colors are so beautiful and vibrant. If you look closely, I used a delicious coppery brown glitter on the chocolates. Gorgeous!!

S2G - Twisted Thursday #22 - Punch It!!

I'm back today with a sample for Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday. We got this fun sketch (designed by Joy - thanks, Joy!) to work with, as well as the twist - which is to use some kind of punch. I'm really enjoying my new little Janome Sew Mini, and I feel like I'm really getting the hang of it. I just love how stitching adds such an interesting and unique detail.

The image I've used is a digi image called Bugs Flying (DG2). Digi images are so versatile - you can print them out any size to suit your purposes. Love that! In fact, I almost prefer digi to stamping anymore . . . no ink to mess with . . . just easier all the way around! S2G has a TON of digi images to pick from, and adding more every day.

To fulfill the "twist" requirement, I used two different oval punches and the new oval scallop punch that I just got from my friend, Melissa ().

Halloween Boo!

I know, I know . . . I've kinda been on a Halloween card kick. But I just can't help myself!! I just love all things Halloweenie!!

Today's card features an oldie but a goodie clear stamp set from Penny Black called "Trick or Treat". Each of the images contained in this set are absolutely adorable. I love this darling little witch, and I made the black and white DP with the spider web stamp from the set. Fun, huh?! I think everything else is pretty self-explantory.

Happy Owl-O-Ween!!

Hello!

Halloween is my favorite holiday to create projects for!! It's just one of those "holidays" that is just so fun! The costumes, the candy, and the colors - the best!! So, when I received this My Cute Stamps set - Happy Owl-O-Ween - from Julie at ABC Toys & Crafts, I nearly flipped my lid. Every stinkin' image in the set is perfecto for rockin' Halloween projects. I also got to use one of my new Martha Stewart edge punches - can you see that spider web edge? This is going to be a fabulous tool in my Halloween crafting this year! It appears that Julie has sold out of the spider web edge punch, but she still has the spider web corner punch - ca-YUTE!! Hurry and get one before they disappear, too!

Baby Showers!!

I have another baby shower to go to tomorrow, and I'm so excited for this one! It's for my friend Courtney, who's the daughter of my good friend, Colleen. Courtney is expecting a baby boy, and this will be Colleen's first grandchild. How fun is that?!! So, I wanted to make a little Brag Book for Grandma Colleen, and I made this little tag for Courtney's gift. Both items use the My Cute Stamps set Circus Animals. Cute, huh?!! You can find this set, as well as many other darling My Cute Stamps sets at ABC Toys & Crafts. The little Brag Book is actually a little photo album that I picked up at my LSS for $1. I added the scalloped frame, the green gingham ribbon, the buttons and of course the title. The sweet little giraffe image is cut out and popped up for dimension. I have a pink one that I'll make up for another baby shower later. There seems to be a lot of showers in my future, that's for sure.
