Shameless CASE and a Reminder!

Happy Tuesday!!

I'm back once again to share a sample using goodies from ABC Toys & Crafts. I very shamelessly CASE'd this baby from the most recent Stampin' Up Mini Catalog. I didn't have the stamps that they used, but I knew that I could substitute the new Hero Arts pumpkin and it would work. What's super cool about this pumpkin is that it's one of four darling Halloween images that come as a set, and include red and black self-adhesive rhinestones to boot!! I used the other three images on THIS card last week. I used my Rectangle Classic and Scalloped Nestabilities to create the main image panel. The card base is embossed with a fun new Quickutz embossing folders called Rings. Love it!

That's it for me today. Oh, except I just wanted to remind you that our "friendly" little design team competition is still going on - through October 10th. I've tried Smiley from millan.net and Smiley from millan.net, but Heidi and Jen are ahead of me in the competition. So I'm counting on you all to help me out here!! All you have to do is head on over to ABC Toys & Crafts and order up some crafty goodness so that I can win the DT competition!! Remember to use my exclusive discount code - just click on the blinkie below and it'll take you to where you need to be!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with another Stamps Happen Christmas card (another shameless CASE, but a goodie for sure!)

Radiant Gradient - Merry Christmas!

Hi Chickies!

I know - I'm posting on a Saturday!! Wow - I hardly ever do that. But I really wanted to show you the holiday card that I just made for the newest challenge over at Moxie Fab World. The challenge is to demonstrate the gradient in color, which is very popular in so many areas of fashion, papercrafting, and design. I was inspired by a t-shirt that I purchased this summer from American Eagle - love variegated blues and turquoises. The colors remind me of a pool in the summer, or snow drifts in the winter. That's why I decided to once again kill two birds with one stone - a card for the challenge AND another holiday card for my stash!! Bonus!

I love that Cath Edvalson pushes me to step out of my comfort zone in an effort to try something new, or to be more aware of what's around me. It didn't occur to me, until she enlightened me, that gradient color is everywhere!!

STAMPS: Polka Dot Basics (PTI), Snowflake - Merry Christmas (Hero Arts), Snowflake - Snowy Eve (Memory Box), Snowflake (Melissa Frances), Vintage Christmas Expressions (Cornish Heritage Farms)
INK: Cloud White (VersaFine Chalk Ink), Aqua Mist (PTI), Water Lily Green (Palette)

ACCESSORIES: Apron Lace Border Punch (Fiskars), Button (PTI), 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (American Crafts), White Satin Ribbon (SU), Glue Dots, Sticky Strip, Corner Rounder (SU), Self-Adhesive Rhinestones (Kaisercraft)

Thanks for stopping by! I'm trying to finish up a few more challenges, so you may just see additional posts either today or tomorrow!!

Give Thanks . . . .

Hi Peeps!

TGIF!! This week has flown by, and I don't feel like I got alot accomplished. The weather has been beautiful this week, so it's been a good week for sure. But boy am I glad it's the weekend! Any fun plans in your future? I'd love to hear all about them!!

Today's card features one of the new Karen Lockhart images that was just released - this one's called Harvest Window. I am obsessed with windows and doors - isn't this one amazing? I paired it with some new 6 x 6 DP by Memory Box, called Twilight. I colored the image with my Copics, using the color palette from the designer paper. The ribbon is some yummy May Arts grosgrain that I got on one of my retail therapy shopping trips with my buddy, Terri. Also added some gorgeous Martha Stewart orange glitter. Gotta have some bling for good measure, right?!! The sentiment is from the Limitless Labels clear set by Papertrey Ink.

That's it for me today! I'll be back on Tuesday with my ABC Toys & Crafts sample - the last of my Halloween samples (unless I get a wild hair and create some more!). Thanks so much for stopping by. Your kind words and time mean the world to me! Have a great weekend!

Hi Stampers!

It's another Tuesday at ABC Toys & Crafts, and I'm so excited to share another cute Halloween sample with you!! How freakin' cute are these little Halloween Trick or Treaters?!! Frankie and Casper walking down the street, bats flying over their heads, and strolling by The Munster's house!! In fact, that green guy kinda looks like Eddie Munster. LOL The images are three of four new Hero Arts images that come as a set AND each stamp comes with black and orange bling!! BONUS!! If you click on the picture, I think you can see that I used a new Quickutz embossing folder - it's a grave yard. Can you see it? So fun!! The broken down fence is a Martha Stewart holiday border punch (although it appears that Julie is out of this particular punch - she might be able to order it for you if you want it, though!). I think the rest is pretty self-explanatory. But just in case, I'll list the recipe below.

Sweet Baby Girl!!

Hi Peeps!

I'm so sorry this is late! I meant to upload and schedule this last night, but fell asleep before I could get it done. But I hope you enjoy this yummy little baby girl card as much as I do. My daughter had a baby shower to go to last weekend, and she asked me if I'd make her a card for it. I had picked up this baby shoe image from my local stamp store - it's by Impression Obsession, and I just thought it was soooo cute! I stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed it with some Blush embossing powder (by Zing/American Crafts - love that stuff!!). The two pink DP's are from a Me & My Big Ideas pad that I picked up at Mike's a few months ago. Every single sheet of paper is gorgeous and super duper quality!! Will definitely be using this stuff often!! I used my Petite Oval Nesties and my brand spankin' new Labels 5 - OMG, I love those babies!! I also punched the bottom of the contrasting DP with my Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch.

All of the highlighted items I received from ABC Toys & Crafts - and you, too, can own every single one of them for 15% off if you use my exclusive discount code - ABC15K - now through October 10th! Julie's stuff is fantastic, and her service is just as amazing (although she's on vacation right now, and won't resume shipping until 9/28). Check out all the goodies for yourself. Just click on the blinkie below, and it'll take you right to the store!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Another darling stamp set with several sentiment options - what more could you ask for?!! My Halloween embellishment is the bat brad at the top of the sentiment, as well as the photo corner on the main image. What Halloween embellishment are you going to use?!!

Merry and Bright, A Sale, and A Contest!!

Happy Wednesday!!

I'm back today with another cute holiday card to share with you. How adorable is this image? It's called Merry and Bright, and I got it from JanLynn.com. I created this card for the Moxie Fab Holiday Card challenges a few weeks ago, and I have to say I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I didn't win anything, dang it - but I'm happy with how it turned out!! LOL This stamp, as well as a ton of other holiday stuff, is on sale at JanLynn.com right now, and you can get all the details of that sale right HERE.

And hey, do you wanna know what else is going on at JanLynn.com? The most fun little contest is going on where you have the chance to win $1,000!! No joke - $1,000!! Now, I'm pretty sure you all have figured out by now that I'm a pretty sassy girl. Well, JanLynn.com has a contest going on where if you submit the winning sassy saying for their Dolly Mamas line of products, you could win $1,000!!! You can get all the details of the contest right HERE. I've been keeping a notepad handy so that when a snotty or sassy saying pops into my head, I jot it down. I'm determined to win that contest and I plan to give it my best shot! But if I don't win, I'd be thrilled if one of you did!! So, check it out for yourself!!

Okay, that's it for me today. I'll be back tomorrow with a sample for the Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday challenge. I hope you'll come back and play along with us!! Thanks for stopping by!

Fall and Indian Summer!!

Happy Tuesday Chicas!!

Once again, it's my turn to share a crafty morsel for ABC Toys & Crafts. Today's card features another new image from Inkadinkadoo. I rarely buy stamps that are just sentiments - but this stamp just makes me happy. First of all, fall in the Pacific Northwest is an amazing time of year. The mornings and evenings are cool, there's almost always a layer of marine air that lingers in the morning, and then it gradually burns off to expose the sun. The leaves are changing everywhere, so the colors just glow!! So, this image tied in perfectly with what's going on around me. How I constructed this card is pretty self-explanatory, but if you have any questions about it, please feel free to email me or leave a comment here. Otherwise, I've listed the recipe below.

I hope that you're enjoying a beautiful Indian Summer where you live.

STAMPS: Fall (Inkadinkadoo)
INK: Rich Cocoa (Memento)
PAPER: Autumn Abundance DP (PTI), Bitty Dots DP (PTI), Kraft CS (PTI), Summer Sunrise CS (PTI), Vintage Cream CS (PTI), Dark Chocolate CS (PTI)
ACCESSORIES: Brown 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (American Crafts), Circle Classic Nestabilities, Petite Circle Scalloped Nestabilities, Copic Markers, Acorn Punch (EK Success), Fall Leaves Border Punch (Martha Stewart), Janome Sew Mini, Dimensional Squares (EK Success), 1/4" Hole Punch, Quickie Glue Pen, Glitter (Martha Stewart)

All of the products highlighted above are from ABC Toys & Crafts. If you decide to do some retail therapy, don't forget to use my exclusive discount code for 15% off your entire order - ABC15K!!

Thanks for stopping by!
