Stamping Bella Chichiboulie Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Chichiboulie Blog Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at Bloggabella. If you came to me via Kerry's blog, you're in the right place!!

One of my most favorite lines of the Stamping Bella lines is the Chichiboulie Fairies. Each and every one of them makes me just smile from ear to ear. When I saw that Stamping Bella was hosting an Everything Chichiboulie Blog Hop, I jumped at the chance to participate. So, without further ado, here is my project for the hop - I guarantee you're going to be a fan of these sweet little fairies when you get through looking at all the other amazing projects.

I wanted to add to my Christmas card stash, so I chose to work with Pia Puddingtop. Is she not just the most darling little thing, from the very tip top of that little holly beanie, to the bottom of her sweet little feet? I've included a list of supplies used below, if you're interested.

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $25 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is . . . we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Monday in the Splitcoast forum. MWAH!

S2GSC31 - Count Your Blessings!

It's time once again for the Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday sketch challenge. I hope you're all ready for some fun, fun, fun!!

Here's the sketch for this week, and the twist is to include something soft in your design - Fun Flock, felt, Flower Soft, velvet, anything you can think of that fits the bill will work!

The image that I got to work with this week is a brand new image called "Pilgrims (SG 309)." I colored the image with my Copics, and for a change, I'm pretty happy with the end result. I had a blast with this layout. I wanted the focus to be on the image, so I used subtle elements. The bow is a substitute for the circle in the sketch, and you can see that I used Flower Soft as my twist element. Don't you just love "creative interpretation?" LOL

I know you want to play along with us this week - you know you do, too. Well, all you have to do is create a card using this week's sketch (don't forget the twist!), and then click on the blinkie below - that'll take you right to Mr. Linky (as well as all the rules and regulations of playing along) where you need to upload a link to your project. Oh, and if you want some amazing and instant-gratification digi images - check out the Digi Images section in the Shirley's 2 Girls store. Cute stuff, I tell ya!!

Need some more inspiration? Check out the fun goodies that the rest of the S2G DT has in store for you!

Wishing You . . . .

Happy Tuesday!!

I'm back today with another Christmas card to share with you! I've been dying to try one of these Tri-Fold cards - I've seen some beautiful examples in the galleries, and found some pretty easy directions on SCS. Unfortunately, I don't have any 12" x 12" CS, so I had to improvise and adjust the measurements for 8.5 x 11 CS. It took a little bit of refiguring, but all in all, pretty easy.

The focal image is a sentiment from a Hero Arts holiday sentiment set called Winter Messages. This clear stamp set is chock full of holiday card sentiments that are handy and timeless - perfect for your holiday card making. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder. Then I stamped the Hero Arts Snowflake Circle cling stamp over the top of that in Versamark. I used my oval Classic and Scalloped Nestabilities to create the main panel. I added some self-adhesive pearls to finish off the main panel. Then I followed the SCS Tri-Fold Card tutorial - easy peasy!!

Here's a picture of what it looks like opened up. I'll definitely be making more of these Tri-Fold cards again in the future - tons of fun!

Shirley's 2 Girls Blog Hop - and BLOG CANDY!!

Welcome to the very first S2G Customer Blog Hop sponsored by Shirley's2Girls! If you've just happened upon my blog, you need to GO BACK and start from the beginning at the S2G Challenge Blog. If you joined me here from Debbie's blog, then you're in the right place!!

I had sooo much fun creating this project. I inked up two stamps that I've never had the chance to use before. Isn't that Bride (SG 151) gorgeous?! I love all the fun and whimsical details in her dress and veil. I created the tag card using a template that I found on Nichole Heady's blog. Because I wanted the bride to be the focal image, I placed the sentiment on the inside of the card. Wouldn't this make a sweet card to go with a bridal shower gift? I was singing "Goin' to the Chapel" the whole time I was making this project! LOL

I wanted to have a little sumpin' sumpin' to go with the card, so I created a sweet wedding or shower favor. I picked up the take out box at Michael's, and carried the same band from the card onto the favor box. I found some aqua, cream and grey M & M's at a local candy store - I love that you can find just about any color of M & M's for occasions just like this!! There's one more detail that I wanted to bring to your attention. See that darling little wedding cake charm hanging from the ribbon? Well that's another Shirley's 2 Girls stamp called Wedding Cake (SG 152). I stamped the image in Jet Black Stazon onto transluscent Shrinky Dink, cut it out, punched a hole at the top, and shrank it using my embossing heat gun. How flippin' cute is that?!! Shrinky Dink is DA BOMB!! I love finding fun and unique ways to utilize it in my projects.

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a free stamp from Shirley’s2Girls. The fun part is . . . we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Monday in the SNR S2G Forum.

BONUS BLOG CANDY: I thought I'd create a little MORE fun around here, so I've added some of my own blog candy to the mix. In addition to leaving a comment here to win the Shirley's 2 Girls FREE stamp, I'd like you to tell me which of the Shirley's 2 Girls stamps is your favorite. You can see them all HERE. I'll choose a winner for this additional blog candy via random.org and will post the winner on Monday here on my blog. Good luck!! REMEMBER - YOU MUST COMMENT ON ALL BLOG HOP BLOGS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR MY BLOG CANDY, AS WELL AS THE S2G BLOG CANDY.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Anne's blog.

Season's Greetings!

Hi Kids!

I'm really getting a pretty good stash of holiday cards by now. Especially thanks to this Hero Arts Snowflake Circle that I got from ABC Toys & Crafts! It's such a versatile stamp - I feel like it has so many possibilities. It can be used as a background stamp, a focal point, or even a fun watermark. Today, I stamped the image with Versamark, and then heat embossed it using Zing Pink Glitter embossing powder. I love how blingy it turned out! I cut it out with my Circle Nestie, and matted it with an Inverted Scallop Circle Nestie. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts clear stamp set called Winter Messages. It, too, was stamped in Versamark, and heat embossed with Zing White embossing powder. Love that stuff!!

STAMPS: Snowflake Circle (Hero Arts), Winter Messages (Hero Arts)
INK: Versamark
PAPER: Dark Chocolate CS (PTI), Cotton Candy CS (Poptone), White CS (Neenah), Hot Chocolate DP (Upsy Daisy Designs)
ACCESSORIES: Dark Chocolate Polka Dot Satin Ribbon (PTI), Circle Nestie, Inverted Scallop Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Pink Self-Adhesive Rhinestones (Hero Arts), Brown Rhinestones (Impress), 3-D Squares (EK Success), Pinking Shears

There's still a fabulous sale going on over at ABC Toys & Crafts - all Inkadinkadoo stamps (rubber and clear sets) are 25% off now through October 24th.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

S2GSC29 - Dignity Spoils Everything!!

Hi Chicklets!!

It's another beautiful day in Shirley's 2 Girls land! We have a fabulous sketch challenge for you today, as well as a super fun twist, so let's get down to business. Shall we?

Here's the sketch for this week, and the twist is to use Chipboard in your design. Now, I know we all have a boatload of unused chipboard laying around, right?!! Well, I know I do, so this was an easy peasy twist for me. Unfortunately, I forgot that I needed to use chipboard in my design until AFTER I finished my card!! Ugh!! So, I had to "rearrange" things a bit - I pried those cute little buttons (that were super stuck) off and slipped the green star chipboard underneath. Problem solved!!

The image that I got to work with this week is called "Cat On the Fence (SG 603)." I colored the image with my Copics, and for a change, I'm pretty happy with the end result. There's lots of layers, and pop dots and dimension in my card today - just couldn't help myself. And since the front of my card was so busy, I decided to put the sentiment that goes with the image on the inside of the card.

I know you want to play along with us this week - you know you do, too. Well, all you have to do is create a card using this week's sketch (don't forget the twist!), and then click on the blinkie below - that'll take you right to Mr. Linky where you need to upload a link to your project. You'll find all the rules of playing there, too. Oh, and if you want some amazing and instant-gratification digi images - check out the What's New Section at the Shirley's 2 Girls store. Cute stuff, I tell ya!!
