Happy Father’s Day – Slice & Nestie Sale!

Hi Peeps!

Did you think that I fell off the face of the earth?  So sorry for being MIA the last couple of days.  I had to take a few days off to help my youngest daughter pack up and clean her apartment, and move her home.  She graduated in May and will begin student teaching in the fall.  It’s great to have her home again, and I’m secretly thankful that I never have to hang out in Pullman, Washington ever, ever again (Podunk, Haytown, U.S.A).  ‘Nuff said.  LOL  I’d like to thank Sandy for swapping ABC Toys & Crafts days with me so that I could post my project after I returned home.  You’re awesome, sistah!!

Happy Fathers Day
It dawned on me this morning that Father’s Day is this Sunday.  Ummm . . . where did the month of June go?!!  Of course, I didn’t have a card made for my dad, so here’s what I came up with.  I really struggle with masculine cards – you?  I so want to put ribbon and bows on every card I make, and somehow, I just don’t think my dad would appreciate that.  LOL

So I whipped out my beloved Pink Slice Machine and started flipping through my design cards looking for masculine images.  The car image came from the Animal Crackers Design Card.  I cut it out with my Slice using four different colors of cardstock.  Honestly, this is one of the easiest cards I’ve ever made, and it’s all because my Slice is awesome!   I also love my Hands Free Magnetic Kit – so amazing!!  I don’t use any adhesive on the glass, and I get nearly perfect cuts every single time.  You MUST get the Hands Free Kit – you won’t regret it!!  By the way, I'll be submitting this for the CARDS Magazine Blog Challenge , the CAS-Tastic Challenge No. 8, and the Raise the Bar Challenge No. 23 - all of which are to create a Father's Day card.  I was inspired by a card that I saw many moons ago on Teri Anderson's blog (so long ago, I couldn't find it on her blog).

STAMPS:  Happy Dad’s Day (Hero Arts)
INK:  London Fog (Memento)
PAPER:  Pumpkin Pie CS (Stampin’ Up!), Going Gray CS (Stampin’ Up!), Green Apple CS (Poptone), Spring Rain CS (Papertrey Ink), Lil’ Buddy DP (Pebbles, Inc.)

ABC Toys & Crafts is running a sale on all Slice, Spellbinders and Sizzix/Cuttlebug products now through Saturday, June 19th – 15% Off (no coupon or discount code needed)!!  So that means that the Pink Slice and all the design cards (including the Animal Crackers Design Card, used here) are 15% off!!  Such a great deal!!

That’s it for me today, kids.  I’ve got some serious crafting that I want to do – hope I can fit it in between all the fun social events we have coming up!  I’ll share again very, very soon!  Thanks so much for stopping by – please know that I never take your time and kind words for granted.  They mean the world to me.  Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

This is so freakin' adorable...your dad is going to love it. Why don't you make it into a golf cart and make one for Garry too?! Love how you are combining all these challenges, back in the day, when I actually stamped, you weren't a big fan of challenges as I you are a participating maniac.

Don't stop, you know I love seeing what you come up with...lovin' those Slice cards too!

Such a cute card, and I love the idea of repetition on masculine cards. Fine job here!

Karolyn this is adorable! I love all the vibrant colors, still so masculine but a breath of fresh air from the darker warmer typical manly colors. Thank you so much for joining us at Raise The Bar this week with your special guy!
