I Want To Ride My Bicycle - Maybe the Last Entries?!

Hi Peeps!

I have two more submissions for the Moxie Fab World ChallengeI Want to Ride My Bicycle.  I think this might be the end of my creativity on this one, folks.  But I have until Monday – if the mood strikes me, I may just whip out one or two more.  No promises, though!  Besides, you all are probably sick to death of looking at my bicycle cards.  Just so you know . . . I really, really like bicycle images – they’re just so fun and summery.  They so remind me of my days as a kid in the culdesac, riding around with all the neighbor kids, or riding through the woods to my friend’s house that had a pool.  Ahhhh . . . there’s nothing like being all hot and sweaty from a bike ride and then jumping into a cool, refreshing pool.  Huh?!!
Life Is Good
So, here’s my first card for today.  How freaking cute is this sweet image?!  I found it on eBay HERE.  Oh my gosh, this was the most fun little image to play with!  I messed around, and messed around, and finally came up with this presentation.  I stamped the image in Versamark, and then heat embossed it using my fave-a-lave EP, White Zing Embossing Powder.  Like buttah, I tell ya!  Then I cutimage the image out with my Circle Nestabilities.  I left the die on the  image, and sponged aqua and green chalk ink to highlight the white image.  I love how that makes the image pop, don’t you?  The layout was inspired by the current Posh Designs Card Sketch Challenge (CLSC16), shown here.

Greetings
My next card was something that I was inspired to do by the images in my head from our trip to New York last February.  The bicycle messengers are everywhere, and so fun to watch.  I stamped the kraft card base with the Big City image from a new set of clear stamps I picked up from My Stamp Box called Neighborhoods.  Then I stamped the. bicycle image in Versamark and heat embossed it with – you guessed it! – Aqua Zing Embossing Powder.  The sentiment is also from the Neighborhoods set.

Both of these cards also fit the requirements of the current Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers - create something using heat embossing – HELLLOOOOOO!  LOL  And the Kids Riding the Bike card fits the requirements for the current Res-Q-Challenge – use the emboss resist technique.   I’ll list the products used for both cards at the bottom of this post.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I’m off to have lunch with my daughter at work.  Have a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by.

Before I can even comment on both of these darling cards, I have to get past the fact that you got all "sweaty" riding around on a bike as a kid...seriously take you for strictly the "Barbie and Ken" kind of kid myself. You know, playing inside a nice air conditioned house and THEN maybe going out for sunbathing and a quick dip in the pool!

Anyhoo, love both of these cards...you have to tell me when you come about this sudden obsession with bikes but in the mean time, these cards are freakin' darling. That image off of EBAY is adorable and once again you have nailed it on the challenge. Love how you did the background on the other card and the buttons for the wheels is pure genius!

Miss ya much...maybe we can go for a bike ride when you get down here...you could get a good sweat going...that pool will really feel good then!!

Fabulous cards! I love that ebay image stamped in white--such a fresh look as opposed to the normal black silhouette!
