OH. MY. GOSH!!

Hi Kids!

I received some news yesterday that has me bursting at the seams with excitement!  My Have a Beautiful Day card – the one I made for the Fun With Fabric Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World blog – was chosen as one of the winning submissions!!!  Shut the front door!!  Right?!  You have no idea how thrilled I was to get that amazing news . . . I feel as though I’ve cracked the code to the secret of life.  LOL  Yeah, I know . . . that’s a bit of a stretch.  But to me, at that moment, that’s how I felt!  So, hopefully very soon, I’ll be receiving a fancy schmancy blinkie for my blog that I will very proudly display for all the world (or just my blogging buddies – hehehe) to see!

Hello Floral Challenge

I created another card today that I made for the CARDS Magazine Blog Challenge – to showcase floral designer paper.  You all don’t really know me that well (well, some of you do . . . hehehe), but designer paper, more specifically foral designer paper, is my absolute obsession!!   I have mountains and mountains of designer paper – and I love every stitch of it.  Today’s card features some new DP from Pebbles, Inc. called May Flowers.  Isn’t it so sweet?  I adore the color palette and the scale of the images.  I love how it’s so graphic, yet soft and sweet.  It totally appeals to my straight line tendancies.  The other two papers are also from the same line.  I love it when everything coordinates.  Pretty simple design, but I really, really like it.  Is that bad?  LOL  The sentiment is from a new set of clear stamps that I got from The Stamps of Life called Hello to You.  Cute, huh?  The two-tone twine is some that I picked up at Impress the other day – I really like that, too! The layout was inspired by a card that I saw on Kimberly Crawford's blog the other day.

STAMPS:  Hello to You (The Stamps of Life)
INK:  Smokey Shadow (Papertrey Ink)
PAPER:  May Flowers (Pebbles, Inc.), Soft Stone CS (Papertrey Ink)
ACCESSORIES:  Baker’s Twine (Impress), Ocean Tides Button (Papertrey Ink), Double Embossed Dotted Lace Edger Punch (EK Success), Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!)

That’s it for me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope to have a few more cards to share with you before the weekend is up.
