Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz!!

Oct-'10-blog-hop-logo

Welcome to the October Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz! The fun starts in The Playroom:  Blog Waltzes:  October Blog Waltz Links thread in the Waltzingmouse Stamps Forum. If you haven't already registered, it's just a couple of quick questions and a few clicks away!

We also have a game we're playing for a chance to win a stamp set of choice, which is open to everyone! You'll find the chat and deets in The Playroom:  BlogWaltzes:  October Blog Waltz Chat and Game thread. The competition is open until Tuesday (October 19th) night at 11:59 pm Eastern, so you can waltz at your leisure over the weekend.

Our theme this month is Autumn/Fall. Claire has designed the most wonderful Autumn and Fall stamp sets – Peace and Plenty and Blessed By You. Even her new set, Teeny Trees, could be used for a fall/autumn theme.  Waltz along with us today and check out the Waltzingmouse Stamps Gallery for some autumn-licious samples!

Fall Blessings Waltzing Mouse

My card features the wreath from Peace and Plenty.  I stamped the wreath image in Versamark and then heat embossed each one in a different Zing embossing powder.  The layout was inspired by a card that I saw on Dawn McVey’s blog a while back, and the felt embellishments were created using the new Lacey Circle Nestabilities.  I don’t typically like long cards, but I think I’m pretty happy with the way this one turned out.

The weather has been amazingly gorgeous here in Washington – we’ve had the most beautiful autumnal days . . . I almost hate to leave next week.  But I’m sure it won’t be too long before the rain starts pouring, and I’ll be so happy that I’m in the AZ sunshine again!!

Thanks so much for waltzing by today! Enjoy the rest of the waltz!

I have to say that I was "shocked" to see the long card...I know they are not your "thang"...but of course it turned out amazing! Is that a punch used for the background or new Nesties? I am soooo out of the loop.

Glad to hear you have been having nice weather in WA...temps are coming down here, should be perfect by the time you get here!

Hi Karolyn

Love the shape of this card. I like how you've used the oakleaf wreath and coordinated with the nestie circles. Brill!!

Love the lacy circles and your wreaths of many colors. Looks like I need to pull out some of that Zing embossing powder and give it a try.
