Cards, A Sale and a Giveaway!

Merry Christmas Eve, Peeps!

Blessings of Christmas

Just dropping in with the last of the holiday cards that I made this year.  These two were virtually cased from Kristina Werner’s 2010 A Year In Cards on Two Peas.  That girl is so clever – I love her clean style and fun pattern mixtures.  I changed these two up a bit, but not much.  Both cards use a Hero Arts clear stamp set called Joy to All.  Super fun sentiment set that should be in every girl’s stamp collection.

Merry Christmas HA

I also wanted to let you know about two things going on right now.  The first one is a pretty big sale going on at ABC Toys & Crafts right now.  If you spend $50 TODAY, you’ll receive 30% off your entire order.  Julie was one of the retailers that received the first shipment of the new 2011 Hero Arts stamps, so if any of these were on your wish list, NOW would be the time to buy them – hellooooo – 30% OFF!!  Nuff said, right?!!

Second, there’s a pretty great giveaway going on over at the ABC Toys & Crafts Design Blog – it lasts until December 31st, so you should head on over there to enter to win.  You’re welcome!  LOL

Lastly, I’d like to wish you and yours a very Blessed Christmas and a fantastic New Year!  I’ll be spending Christmas Eve with my family at my sister’s tonight, and then headed back to the Valley of the Sun on Christmas Day.  I’d love to hear about your holiday plans!!  This may be my last post of 2010 – it just depends on if I have time to do some stamping when I get back to AZ.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Joy . . . the Season of Giving!

Joy Zipper Tree

Hi Peeps!

How’ve you all been?!!  I know it’s been a few days since I posted last.  The holidays, family, blah, blah, blah . . . right?!  LOL  I’m sitting here watching the repeat of Oprah’s Favorite Things, and it reminded me that I have so much to be thankful for.  I have an amazing husband who has tolerated my nonsense for the last 32 years (we dated for two years, and he STILL decided to marry me!  LOL)  My kids make me so proud every time I look at them and realize what incredible young women of God they have become.  My son-in-law is everything and more than I could have ever wished for in a son-in-law.  And then there’s my sweet, sweet little Brecken.  Words cannot describe the love I have for that sweet, sweet little boy.  It’s hard to imagine that I could love another child more, so I hope I have some left to give when the rest of our grandkids get here!  LOL  But he will always and forever be my first grandchild.  *Sigh*

But I’m also so thankful and grateful to you all, for your sweet comments that you leave, for the time you spend visiting me here, and for being the best virtual friends a girl could ever ask for!  LOL  So, if I haven’t told you lately, thank you for visiting me here and for encouraging me in what I love to do.

I thought I’d pop in to share this little project that I made and submitted to the last Paper Crafts Magazine pub call.  Yeah . . . once again, a big, fat LOSER!!  LOL  But I had so much fun making this project, so in the end I didn’t feel like such a loser.  LOL  Yes, my friends, it’s another zipper project!  Seriously, these zippers are so much fun to work with!!  I’ll definitely be using them again on future projects – so funky, right?!!

ABCDTCLICKHERE

I also wanted to remind you that you have the rest of today and all day tomorrow to get your projects entered for the ABC Toys & Crafts DT Challenge – Nontraditional Holiday Colors!!  Come on, chickies!  We’d love to see what you’ve created!!  Also, there’s a day or two left on the 20% off at ABC Toys & Crafts, too – that offer expires tomorrow night, I believe.

I’ll try to stop by again on Monday to share some last minute cards I cased from Kristina Werner . . . she’s such a clever girl, I tell ya.  So I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll look forward to visiting with you again next week!

Hugs!

Some Quick Gift Tags!!

Happy Monday, Peeps!!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend . . . mine was okay.  I flew to Washington for the holidays on Saturday, and have spent every spare minute smothering my grandson with kisses.  He is a delicious little bug.

Santa Tag 2010

So, I’m popping in today to share some super quick gift tags that I made before I left AZ.  I’ll warn you right now, there are a few pics in this post, so please hang in until the end – it’ll be worth it, I promise!!  The first tag was created using the Spellbinders Labels 14.  I cut out three labels – two out of coordinating DP, and one out of cardstock for stability.  The Santa Tag 2010 Closeupcutout for the sentiment was created using the Classic Oval Nestabilities.  The sentiment is from the Get Merry clear stamp set from Hero Arts.  And how stinkin’ cute is that Santa canister?!!  I picked him and the snowman up at Home Goods.  Do you know Home Goods?!!  Well, let me just tell you that it is the most amazing place for sweet little nuggets like these jars – $4.99!!  Sa-WEET, right?!  I plan to fill the jars with some Russian Tea Mix that I saw in Paula Deen’s Christmas magazine . . . loves me some Paula Deen!

Snowman Tag 2010

I pretty much did the same thing for the Snowman tag as I did for the Santa tag.  How freakin’ cute is that little Snowman Tag 2010 Closeupmitten tag?!!  I used the Nested Mittens Shapeabilties, as well as the Classic Oval Nestabilities again.  Sentiment, again, is from the Get Merry set.  Did I mention that both the Santa tag and the Snowman tag have TO: and FROM: stamped on the back.  Those stamps came from the Making Memories set called Noel.  Here’s a close up of the Snowman tag for your viewing pleasure.

Ornament Bottle Tag

Finally, I created a tag that’s a little bit more elegant – you know, for like those fancy schmancy holiday parties that Ornament Bottle Tag Closeupya’ll will be invited to this holiday season.  How popular will you be when you show up with a bottle of wine and this yummy tag?  Huh?!  Popular, I tell ya!!  I created this using the 2010 Heirloom Ornaments from Spellbinders (unfortunately, these are now sold out and won’t be restocked as they were limited editions), the Classic Oval Nestabilities, and the sentiment came from the Merry Christmas Trees clear set from Hero Arts (again, currently out of stock – sorry!).

This is what the back of all the tags looks like.  Easy peasy, right?!!

That’s it for me, kids.  I’ll be doing a bit of gift wrapping today, as well as attempting to finish up my shopping.  Thankfully there’s no snow here, but there’s certainly enough rain to float Noah’s Ark – NO JOKE!!  But I can live with that . . . on a short term basis.  LOL  I’ll be back soon with another crafty share!  Toodles!!

Doin' A Foolish Happy Dance!!

Hola chicas!!

Smiley from millan.net

Just had to pop in really quick to share my extremely exciting news with you all.  My quirky little sheep card was chosen as one of the winners for the All Zipped Up Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World Blog!!  Can you believe it?!!  I KNOW, right?!!  LOL  I, myself, am thrilled to little pieces - can you tell?!!  LOL

Also, I wanted to remind you of a couple of things before I go.  First, have you created something for the ABC Toys & Crafts Non-Traditional Holiday Color Challenge?!!  If not, get your little Santa bootie in gear!!  You can find all the deets HERE.  You have until December 18th!

Second, don't forget that there's an amazing sale going over at ABC Toys & Crafts - 20% off nearly everything in the store, free shipping on all clear stamps, and free shipping on orders over $100.  Seriously, I know you've been a good girl this year, so be sure and share your list with Santa.  LOL

Okay, today is my last day in AZ for the next two weeks.  I'm off to Seattle for the holidays . . . I've made a few cards to share with you all while I'm gone, so I hope you'll come by often.  I'd also like to wish you and yours the happiest of holidays, and a very blessed New Year.

OK . . . Let’s Get Merry!

Happy Monday!!

Popping in again today to share another sample for the ABC Toys & Crafts DT Challenge, which is to create a project using NON-TRADITIONAL HOLIDAY COLORS (in other words, no green and red!)

OK Lets Get Merry
STAMPS:  Get Merry (Hero Arts)
INK:
Tangelo Orange (Memento)
PAPER:  White CS (Neenah), Blu Raspberry, Sno Cone and Orange CS (Poptone)
ACCESSORIES:
Teal Green Gemstones (Hero Arts), Orange Gemstones (Icons), 3-D Dots (EK Success), Circle Embossing Plate (Papertrey Ink), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), Baker’s Twine (Divine Twine)

I’ve had these Spellbinder’s Create A Flake #2 dies for what seems like forever, and was so excited for the opportunity to finally crack them open.  Oh how fun it was to create the different layers of flakes in the alternating colors!!  Of course, I had to bling them up a bit with some self-adhesive gems from Hero Arts.  And this project was super easy and fun to create – another quick possibility for my family Christmas cards (if I ever get around to making them!  LOL)  I think my color scheme definitely qualifies for the challenge, don’t you?  There aren’t too many aqua and orange snowflakes around that I know of.  Hehehe  The sentiment is from the Get Merry clear set from Hero Arts.  Another great and versatile holiday stamp set that I know I’ll use year after year.  No stamp collection should be without it!!  I'll also be submitting this for the One Crazy Stamper Christmas/Winter Challenge.

The December ABC Toys & Crafts Challenge just started yesterday and lasts until December 18th.  We’d love for you to play along with us, and of course, there’s a great prize available for the winner.  You can get all the details of the challenge, see some awesome inspiration, as well as upload your projects to the InLinkz widget if you click on the blinkie below.

Oh, and one last thing before I go – ABC Toys & Crafts is having a storewide sale – nearly everything in the store is 20% off through December 18th.  So if you’ve got some delicious crafting supplies on your wish list, now would be a good time to tell Santa that you’ve been a good girl and would really like some goodies from ABC Toys & Crafts!  LOL

That’s it for me today, peeps!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Let It Snow–New ABC DT Challenge!!

I’m dropping by today to share the project that I created for the December ABC Toys & Crafts challenge, which is to create a project USING NON-TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLORS – so no red and green allowed!
Let It Snow

STAMPS:  Let It Snow (My Cute Stamps) (Currently Out of Stock)
INK:
Grape Jelly,
 Summer Sky and Summer Sky(Memento)
PAPER:  Savanna Limba CS (LCI)
ACCESSORIES:
Citron Green Gemstones  (Hero Arts), Light Blue Gemstones  (Hero Arts), Purple Gemstones  (Hero Arts)
This card came together super fast and easily, and I’ve decided that it may be in the running for this year’s Loncon family holiday cards.  That is if I actually send some out this year . . . that’s still undecided.  LOL  I stamped several of the snowflake images using three different colors of ink onto the wood grain embossed cardstock (super yummy stuff!)  All of the images are from the Let It Snow set from My Cute Stamps.  I then added gemstones to jazz things up a bit.  Easy peasy!!

I hope my card inspires you, because we’d be thrilled to pieces if you’d play along with us!!  Here are a few of the rules for our challenge:
  • The challenge, rules and the InLinkz widget where you can upload your projects is located at the new ABC TOYS & CRAFTS CHALLENGE BLOG.
  • This month’s challenge will last for two weeks and you can enter as many times as you like.  However, your project must follow all the rules and include NON-TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLORS in order to qualify for the prize.  This challenge ends on December 18th at midnight (CST).  The winner will be announced on Thursday, December 23rd.
  • The challenge will now be JUDGED rather than using the Random.org selection process.  We want to see your best work!!
  • The winner will receive a $20 store credit to ABC Toys & Crafts.
  • The winner will earn an additional $5 store credit (that’s a total of $25 store credit!) if they’re DISPLAYING our CHALLENGE BLINKIE (you’ll find the HTML code for our Blinkie on our side bar).
