CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #2–Buttons & Twine!

OH EM GEE!!  We had so much fun viewing all of your beautiful creations that you all submitted for the first CAS-ual Fridays Challenge – every entry was out of this world amazing, and we are tickled pink that you all had so much fun with the first challenge!  And we have another fun one for you this week – Buttons & Twine!!  Super fun, right?!!

So all you have to do is create a card with a Clean and Simple design, and include buttons and twine in your project!!

Buttons and Twine are two of my most favorite go-to embellishments – I reach for them nearly every time I create.  There’s just something about the whimsical feel that both buttons and twine add to a project that I just can’t help myself.  Here’s what I created for the challenge:

CFC02 - Buttons and Twine

I’ll be sending this puppy to my mom, whose birthday was in April . . . yeah, I know.  I suck!  LOL  The products I used are listed below:

STAMPS:  PAPERTREY INK (Baby Button Bits and Mod Squad)
INK:  TSUKINEKO (Onyx Black VersaFine Dye Ink and VersaMark)
PAPER:  PAPERTREY INK (Simply Chartreuse CS); BAZZILL (Fuschia CS); NEENAH CLASSIC CREST (Ultra Smooth Solar White CS); MY MIND’S EYE (Lime Twist DP)
ACCESSORIES:
DENAMI DESIGN (Raspberry Boutique Button); THE TWINERY (Honeydew Baker’s Twine); WE R MEMORY KEEPERS (Corner Chomper); FISKARS (Effervescent Border Punch); STAMPIN’ UP! (Stampin’ Dimensionals); ZING/AMERICAN CRAFTS (White Embossing Powder)

Denami Design has very generously agreed to be our sponsor for this week (and they’ve provided the DT with some of the most delicious buttons I’ve ever used), and I’m pretty sure you’ll be excited when you find out what they’re offering up as a prize for this challenge – thank you Denami Design!!  You’ll have to click on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog to find out what the prize is, though.  That’s also where you’ll find all the details of the challenge, as well as more “buttons and twine” inspiration from the other Girl Fridays!!

So what the heck are you waiting for?!!

I ADORE this darling card Karolyn. Your use of color is second to none and that bold white sentiment is the perfect touch. My mom's BD was in April too...have I given her a card yet? Noo...Shame on us both!

You see, once you hit the 'f' word ages you get a week to celebrate your birthday and after that its a week per decade!! So REALLY, you are just honoring what she has earned!;D

I have this stamp and you have made the yummiest looking cupcake out of it! Not only is the button top perfect but I'm also lovin' the double bowed twine and a yummy color combo! Plus it's a trendy cupcake, while sporting those chevron stripes :)
