Paper Smooches October Projects!

Hello my sweet visitors!

Popping in quickly to share a couple of the projects I created for the October Paper Smooches release!

Karolyn - Poinsettia Die

I created this stocking shaped card to showcase the new Poinsettia dies!  Can I say that I ADORE these Poinsettia dies!  I love the scale of them because they’re the perfect size for regular A2 cards – just big enough to make a statement, but not too big that they overwhelm the project.  Plus, I feel like they could be something other than a poinsettia – I love versatility!  Here, I die cut some laminated burlap that I picked up at Michael’s.  It’s cool stuff because the lamination backing keeps the burlap from coming apart once the parts of the Poinsettia are cut.  The leaves were die cut out of green felt.  I hot glued the parts together, and added a flat backed button and some jute twine for some added texture and fun.  The sentiment is from Christmas Sampler.

Next, I have a cute little card that I made with the new stamp set called Bitty Bungalows.  This stamp set is loaded with darling little houses and cottages that could be used for so many occasions – again, versatility is so appreciated!  I stamped rows of bungalows on the kraft card base to create my own background paper.  I then fussy cut one of the bungalows (the set has coordinating dies, but I didn’t have them at the time that I created my projects for this month’s release), trimming the front door so that it’s propped open just a bit.  The sentiment was stamped, and the heart stamped again in pink, fussy cut, and popped up for some dimension.  I will totally be using this stamp set on a regular basis.

That’s it for me, kids!  I think Kim is sharing some other fun stuff over at the Paper Smooches blog today.  I’d love it if you’d click on through to see what she’s got!  I’ve got a semi-busy weekend planned, so I’d better get a move on!  Hoping you have some fun weekend plans in your future!  Either way, I hope you have a great one!  Thanks for stopping by!
