Spreading Good Cheer & A Milestone Birthday!

Hello sweet stampy friends!

Can you believe it’s Friday, again?!  Oh my gosh – where does the time go?!  I’ve got a couple of things to share today – one stampy and one personal.  Let’s get to the stampy thing first, shall we?

Karolyn - Giddy Gumdrops

(Click on the photo to enlarge.)

I wanted to share another of the samples that I created for the Paper Smooches October release!  This project features the new set called Giddy Gumdrops – isn’t that gingerbread guy too cute for words?!  I stamped the different holiday candies on the green card base using VersaMark.  I then stamped that gingerbread dude on kraft in VersaMark and heat embossed him with white EP.  I colored in his wiggly stripes with a red marker.  The sentiment is also from Giddy Gumdrops.  The banner was created using the Streamers stamps and coordinating dies.  I’ve listed all of the products used below.

Ashley

Now for the personal message.  Today is my daughter’s 30th birthday!  I can’t believe that 30 years ago, today, I gave birth to one of the most beautiful baby girls on the face of the earth.  She was even sweet enough to come pretty quickly – an hour and a half of labor and a couple of pushes and she was born!  Wasn’t that thoughtful of her?  Ashley has grown to be an amazing young woman of God, phenomenal mother to my two sweet grandsons, brilliantly creative (pretty sure she takes after her mother in that category – heehee!), and someone I admire more and more every single day.  She’s thoughtful, kind, smart, and self-sacrificing.  She takes her role as mom and wife very seriously.  I’d like to take a little bit of credit for the woman that she has become today, but I really can’t.  She turned out pretty good, in spite of me.  But I’ve never been more proud of her and can’t wait to see what God has in store for the rest of her life – no doubt, incredible things!  Happy Birthday, Ashley Rene!  Wish we were there to celebrate your 30th year – know that we’re there in spirit.  We love you and miss you!!  P.S.  Your card will be a little late – I suck!!  LOL

Love you to the moon and back,

Mom and Dad
