Avery Elle Design Team–Numbered Balloons!!

TGIF, friends!!

Right?!!  Seriously, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks for me!  And it’s only going to get crazier for me through the end of May.  But I’m plugging along and wanted to pop in and share another project that I created for the current Avery Elle release.  This one features the Numbered Balloons Elle-Ments, which also has a coordinating stamp set of the same name.

5-22-15 Numbered Balloons

It’s graduation season, people!!  My grandson will be graduating from pre-school next month.  It makes me think about him graduating from high school . . . it’ll be here before I know it!  *sigh*  So I thought this would be a super fun card for that grad in your life!!  Here’s how I created it:

  1. I trimmed an A2 top-folding card base from white cardstock, scored at 5.5” and perfected the crease with a teflon bone folder.
  2. I die cut the numbered balloons from gold and royal blue foil cardstock using the Numbered Balloons Elle-Ments.  I adhered the balloons to the card base with foam squares.
  3. I die cut the grad cap from some New Moon cardstock using a die that I had in my stash (this is not an Avery Elle product) and adhered it to the 0 Numbered Balloon die cut with some adhesive.
  4. I adhered some white crochet thread behind each balloon with glue dots, gathered them together at the bottom and tied a bow.  I adhered that to the card base with another glue dot.
  5. I die cut a panel from some white cardstock using the Dotted Borders Elle-Ments.  I stamped the sentiment from the Circle It stamp set with some New Moon pigment ink and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder.
  6. I adhered the sentiment panel to the card base with foam squares.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!!!  This came together super fast and could even be mass produced pretty quickly for all those grads in your life!!  For another great Avery Elle project, please click on through to the Avery Elle Design Blog!  It’s always full of inspiration!!

That’s it for me today, friends.  We only have a couple more days with my daughter and son-in-law, and then we’re headed back to Washington.  My, how the time flies!!  So crazy!!!  I hope you have a lovely Memorial Day Weekend!  I’ll be back on Monday to share another My Favorite Things project!!  Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope you’ll visit again soon!
