My Favorite Things–Countdown Day 1!

Hello!  It’s me again!  LOL

Print

We’re oh so very close to the My Favorite Things July Release!!  Today, we’re sharing the last of the July Release products, and they are pretty freakin’ amazing!!  My project features the Sketchy Flowers Stamp Set and coordinating Dies, the All About You Stamp Set, as well as the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-Namics.

KKL_JUL1017-CD-Day-1

I didn’t have a chance to play with the Sketchy Flowers Stamp Set when it was included in the May Card Kit, as I was up to my eyeballs in traveling and visitors!  So I was super excited to express my creativity with these amazing stamps and dies.  It’s such a beautiful set!  Here’s how I created my project:

  1. Trim an A2, horizontal, top-folding card base from Smooth White Card StockScore at 4.25”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
  2. Die cut an image panel from Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 20 Die-Namics.
  3. Using a Mini Ink Blending Tool, lightly blend some Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks onto the image panel, focusing the blended area to the lower right corner.
  4. Die cut a picket fence (using the Picket Fence Die-Namic) from Smooth White Card Stock.
  5. Stamp the sentiment from the All About You Stamp Set onto some Sno Cone Card Stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  Heat emboss the sentiment with White Embossing Powder.  Die cut the sentiment using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-Namics.
  6. Arrange and assemble the flower die cuts, the picket fence die cut, and the sentiment strip, and adhere it all together with foam squares.  Adhere the image panel to the card base using more foam squares.

I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.  Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other beautiful projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration.  While you’re there, be sure and comment for a chance to win $75 from My Favorite Things. And remember, all of the July Release products will be available for sale on Tuesday, July 11th at 9:00 PM EDT in the My Favorite Things Online Boutique!

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’ll be back tomorrow with my project for the New Product Launch, so I hope you’ll come back again to check it out!  Thanks so much for spending part of your day here with me – it truly makes my heart smile when you do!

Beautiful card. The soft ink blending in shades of blue behind the flowers is fabulous as are the colors of the flowers. Love that your focal image is off center. It's very pleasing to the eye.

Karolyn, I love the way you used the picket fence as a setting for your sketchy flowers and sentiment. The result is such a delightful card. Thanks!
