Karolyn - Digits Blog Hop
My sample features the new Digits stamp set.  There are also two die sets to coordinate with these stamps – one set that will work perfectly with the stamps, and another set that can be used without the stamp set and is super fun!  When I saw these fun and funky numbers, I immediately thought of drawing on a chalk board.  Since the chalkboard trend is such a big thing these days, I decided to give it a go.  I stamped the ones using white pigment ink onto chalkboard card stock.  I then outlined the ones with a drafting pencil to give that “shadow” look.  The chalkboard is a design from the Silhouette Online Store.  You can find the products that I used listed below my signature.
I’ll be back in a couple of hours to share my CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge card with you, so I hope you;ll come back to visit later on today!  I plan to spend the rest of my day in my craft room trying to get caught up on some deadlines!  Hope you have some fun crafty plans in store for your future!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

CAS(E) This Sketch #24 – Dreaming of You

Hola Peeps!
CTS24 Graphic
Happy Thursday!!  I hope that you all have been enjoying a lovely week, so far.  Yesterday was the first day that I had to catch up on some things since April 3rd.  We’ve had visitors since then, and I was feeling sooo far behind because of it.  But now I’m close to being back on track – thank goodness!
CTS24 - Dreaming Always of You
I’m back today to share the latest CAS(E) This Sketch.  The sketch was designed by Nath Ali.  Isn’t it so cool?!!  I loved that each of the elements was so random and fun.  I pulled out the most random images that I could find and slapped them on my card.  Ha!  My card came together so fast that it really has me thinking . . . maybe I should just slap crap on my card all the time!  LOL
I’d love to see how you interpret the sketch.  You can link up your project over at the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge Blog.  And while you’re there, be sure and leave my teamies some love – they work so hard to inspire you all!
That’s it for me today, kids.  I’m off to have lunch with my bestie, who needs a little cheerin’ up.  Hopefully I can make her laugh just a little, but at a minimum, we’ll be filling our pie holes with some amazing food!  LOL  Hope you have some fun plans in your future.  Thanks so much for popping in today – it truly means the world to me!

I Love You!

Hi Peeps!

Karolyn First Aid Kit 2

I truly DO love you all for all of your kind words and generosity in visiting me when you do.  So this one’s for you!  This is another sample that I created for the Paper Smooches April release.  It features the other band aid image from First Aid Kit.  I’m having a ton of fun using the images to create my own background paper.  I stamped the band aid repeatedly on some bright pink paper using white ink.  The sentiment is from Salutations.

I’m off to celebrate a special someone’s birthday today.  I’m so incredibly grateful for this girl in my life . . . can’t imagine my life without her!  And I consider myself pretty lucky that she’s willing to put up with my nonsense the way she does!  LOL  Happy Birthday, Kim!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I truly do appreciate each and every one of you!  Hope you have a great day!

CAS(E) This Sketch #23–Hello!

CTS23 Graphic

Hello my crafty friends!

Back again with this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge.  Isn’t this a super fun design?!  I love that the elements are so inspiring and can be interpreted in so many ways!

CTS23 - Hello

Of course, the one time that I can be a little creative, I interpret the sketch pretty literally.  Hahaha  But it is what is – this is what I saw!  This project came together so quickly that I had to look at my watch twice to make sure I hadn’t lost my mind!  LOL  Washi tape and a wood veneer word bubble.  Could that be any easier?!

We’d love to see your take on the sketch!  You can link up your projects at the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge Blog.  While you’re there, be sure and check out the samples that my teamies made for your viewing pleasure.

I’m off to do some housework.  My kids are winging their way back to Seattle, and my mother-in-law is arriving this afternoon to spend four days with us while recuperating from double knee surgery.  Sometimes it feels like a revolving door around here!  LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by today – you always make my day!

I <3 You More Than Coupons! LOL

Hello Friends!

Karolyn Market Fresh

Sneaking away from the little ones to share another Paper Smooches sample of April’s new release.  This sample features and image and sentiment from Market Fresh.  Such a clever set, but I’ve really been enjoying using some of the fun and cute images to create graphic backgrounds.  So I used the bar code at the bottom of the card to create a striped pattern.  The sentiment is so stinkin’ cute, too – don’t you think?  I’m not a couponer, but I do love a good Groupon every now and then.  How about you?!

Oh, I almost forgot – I created another one of those fun little flowers using the Big Bloom Dies as well as the Reflections Graphics Dies.  Cute, right?!

So, just as an FYI, my grandsons are pooping me out!  We’ve been going to bed at 9:00 PM just to keep up!  For a night owl, that’s a big deal for me!  LOL  We’re young grandparents, so I can’t imagine how older grandparents do it!!  But, we are loving every single minute of having them here.  They fly back to Seattle on Thursday, and I know that the house will seem way too quiet after they leave.  Sad smile

Hope you’re having a great week so far.  Gamma will be spending the day cropping!  Ha!  Thanks so much for stopping by – and be sure and check in at the Paper Smooches blog every day of the week for more fun April release shares!

CAS(E) This Sketch–Just Because

Hello, sweet blog friends!

CTS22 Graphic

It’s Thursday and time once again for the latest CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge!  I got a sudden burst of creativity last weekend and had a ball with this sketch!  Actually, you may think that I deviated from the sketch (AGAIN!), but I really don’t think that I did!  What I see is what I see – you can see what you want to see!  LOL  Here’s my take:

CTS22 - Just Because

It’s not EXACTLY like the sketch, but it includes all of the sketch elements . . . just in a different order.  LOL  Okay, so now we need to see what YOU see in this week’s sketch!  You can link up your CLEAN AND SIMPLE projects at the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge Blog, and while you’re there check out the deliciousness that my other teammates created for your viewing pleasure.

That’s it for me today kids.  My grandsons are here (with their parents) and we have a big day planned at the Splash Pad.  And there might just be a carousel and train ride in my future, too!  Woohoo!!  It’s supposed to be 91 degrees here today, so it’s a perfect day for a Splash Pad, don’t you think?  Hope you have some great plans for your weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by – it means the world to me!

Warm Thoughts

Hello Friends!

How was your weekend?!  I had a pretty low key Saturday and a really nice Easter Sunday.  The weather here has been amazing lately – so that always puts a little kick in my step!  LOL

Karolyn First Aid Kit 1

I thought I’d pop in quickly to share one of the samples I made for this month’s Paper Smooches new release. Did you see all the new goodies that went live yesterday?!  Oh my goodness – good stuff, I tell ya!  Well this card features a couple of the images from First Aid Kit.  It’s chock full of super cute sentiments and images that would make anyone feel better.  I stamped the bandaid in a brickyard pattern using some new die inks – love them!  I believe that Kim is sharing some of the other samples from my teamies over at the Paper Smooches blog – check it out!

That’s it for today, friends.  I’ve got a to do list a mile long today because my babies are coming tomorrow!  Woohoo!!  Gamma and Gampa are so excited to get some snuggles and loves for eight whole days!  WOOHOO!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!
