Hello Again!!
The time has finally come for you to purchase all of the August Release products from My Favorite Things! This month’s release is so stinkin’ fun!! I just had to play one more time with the In Bloom Stamp Set, and I added a pattern accent using the new Make Your Mark Background Stamp. I love this background, and will be reaching for it often!
The images in the In Bloom Stamp Set are so versatile and super fun to play with! Here’s how I created my project:
- Trim a 4.25” x 11” card base from Smooth White Card Stock. Score at 5.5”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
- Trim a 4.25” x 5.5” image panel from Smooth White Card Stock. Mask off the bottom portion of the image panel with Post-It Masking Tape, leaving a 2” open space at the top. Position the Make Your Mark Background Stamp into a MISTI and stamp it onto the image panel using Black Licorice Dye Ink. Carefully remove the Post-It Masking Tape.
- Position and die cut the stitched line die from the Blueprints 13 Die-Namics, placing it just below the stamped background.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Handwritten Happiness Stamp Set onto the bottom right corner of the image panel using Black Licorice Dye Ink.
- Stamp the flowers and foliage from the In Bloom Stamp Set onto some Smooth White Card Stock using Berrylicious Dye Ink, Blu Raspberry Dye Ink, Daffodil Dye Ink, and Limelight Dye Ink. Die cut the images with the coordinating In Bloom Die-Namics. I was able to get yellow secondary stamped images on the flowers by first stamping them with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and then with the Daffodil Dye Ink.
- Arrange and adhere the stamped flowers and foliage to the image panel using foam squares.
- Adhere Sparkling Clear Sequins to the image panel using Multi Medium Matte adhesive.

ReplyDeleteI am a huge floral fan as most of my cards have flowers on them.
ReplyDeleteSince I am not one to color in stamps, I love the fact that you can just stamp these solid flowers and cut them out. There's no messing up with having to color them in with markers or paint them. Your card is so pretty with the colors of ink that you used. I'm so happy to see more florals coming out in the new release.
