Advent Calendar Extravaganza With Taheerah Atchia!!

If you’re new to my blog, welcome, welcome, welcome!!  I’m thrilled to little bits to be joining Taheerah Atchia in her Advent Calendar Extravaganza!!  I enjoyed this event last year as a spectator, and am so honored and humbled to be included as a participant this year!  So much fun!!  Taheerah has not only gathered 100 awesome designers together to inspire you all, she’s also procured some amazing prizes from some phenomenal sponsors!!  Today’s sponsor is Avery Elle – a company that is obviously near and dear to my heart!

Advent Calendar Extravaganza is THE festive event of the season! This ‘hop with a twist’ was dreamed up by Taheerah Atchia and features surprise destinations each day! Joining in the fun with Taheerah are ONE HUNDRED special guests - each serving up some fantastic Christmas inspiration! Just like an Advent Calendar, you’ll never know where you’re going to be visiting next until you ‘open the door’!

Here’s the card I created for today’s event!!

PRODUCTS USED:

New Moon Dye Ink
Oh What Fun Stamp Set
Oh What Fun Dies
Postage Stamp Dies
Letter Balloons Dies

BRIEF HOW-TO:  I trimmed an A2, vertical top-folding card base from white card stock.  I die cut an image panel from white card stock using the Postage Stamp Dies.  I adhered the white die cut border to the card base with foam tape.  I blended some Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks on the inside image panel, and applied some Snowflake Embossing Paste using a snowfall stencil.  I stamped the santa image from the Oh What Fun Stamp Set onto some white card stock using New Moon Dye Ink.  I colored him with Copic Markers and die cut him out with the coordinating Oh What Fun Dies.  I used the Postage Stamp Dies to die cut Santa’s body in half.  I adhered him to the ink blended image panel with foam squares.  I adhered the ink blended image panel to the card base using two layers of foam squares.  I die cut the “HO HO HO” balloon letters from red foil card stock using the Letter Balloons Dies.  I tied white crochet cord to the balloons and adhered them to the image panel with more foam tape.  I tied a bow at the bottom of the balloon strings and adhered them to Santa’s glove with a rolled glue dot.  I applied a light coat of Glossy Accents to Santa’s heard and cuffs and sprinkled some glittery white flocking on top.
