My Favorite Things - November Release Countdown Day 4: Movin' & Groovin Die-Namics!

Hello friends!

The November Countdown has begun, and today we're sharing even more fabulous products from the upcoming November Release! I have two projects to share with you today, and both feature the new Movin' & Groovin' Die-Namics and the Movin' & Groovin' Slimline Die-Namics! I'm thrilled to say that I helped design these interactive dies, and I hope you all love them as much as I do! My first project uses the Movin' & Groovin' Die-Namics, which are designed to work with an A2 horizontal card. It also includes the new You Sleigh Me Stamp Set and coordinating dies, because I loved the idea of that adorable little penguin bobbing up and down those rolling snow drifts on his cute little sled. Check it out!

So the Movin' & Groovin' dies were designed such that when you pull on the pull tab, the end of the pull tab rotates with the movement of the rolling hills or drifts or waves. The mechanism is super easy to assemble, and I think has tons of universal applications: a rocking ship, a skier, a train traveling over the hills - honestly, these are just a few of the ideas that I thought of that would make these interactive dies super fun to work with! This project features the Movin' & Groovin' Slimline Die-Namics and the new Pandas At Play Stamp Set and coordinating dies. And before you nail me, I realize that riding a scooter in the snow is somewhat dangerous! Use your imagination, people! This is card making - we all live in an imaginary world when we're creating, right?! Anything is possible! The only difference between the Movin' & Groovin' Die-Namics and the Movin' & Groovin' Slimline Die-Namics is the scale of the dies - one is designed for A2 horizontal oriented cards, and the other is designed for standard slimline oriented cards! Otherwise, they are identical! And of course, the slimline dies join the already substantial group of slimline products that are growing each and every month! My Favorite Things - Summer School 2020: White Space!

Hello!

I'm back for the last day of Summer School 2020 with a super fun lesson on white space and the part it plays in design theory!

I filmed a fun new card design, and included some of my older projects, to demonstrate white space!  My new project features the Summer Vibes Stamp Set and coordinating dies to create a "wish you were here" message that just makes me so happy! I also include a fun technique called Paper Tole, that I think you'll like, as well!

My Favorite Things - Color-Changing Caticorn and Process Video!

My Favorite Things - Inside Out Shaker Card & Process Video!

Hello my loves!

I'm popping in to share a project that is similar to a project that I created using a few of the components from last month's Icing on the Cupcake Card Kit, which sold out in a split second because it's sooo stinkin' fun and versatile! But I have good news - ALL of the components of the kit are available for purchase on an individual basis at the MFT Online Boutique.  My project features the Cupcakes and Sprinkles Die-Namics and the Sugar-Coated Sentiments Stamp Set. Similar to my project from last month, I created an Inside Out Shaker Card.  Here's what the front of the card looks like:

My Favorite Things - A New Interactive Card and Process Video!

Hello friends!

Yes, it's been a minute since I've posted!  I didn't mention anything before, but hubby and I went on a trip to Thailand to see our youngest daughter and her adorable little family!  The plan was to spend two weeks in Thailand, and another 10 days visiting their world in China (they're there working until early July).  However, fate and the Corona Virus had different plans for us.  A few days after we arrived in Thailand, countries started closing their borders, and airlines cancelled flights. We were disappointed, to say the very least.  Our kids are still in Thailand, awaiting news that it's safe to return to China, and of course we're anxious for their safety.  But it's all in God's hands now, and we're praying that He is protecting our loved ones through this wild adventure of theirs!

Anywho, I'm back! And back to share another interactive card and process video!  I'm doing something a little bit different today - something that I think is going to BLOW your minds because it's SO stinkin' easy but has a huge WOW factor!

This features the new Birthdays Take the Cake Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  And, I know this looks benign enough - almost boring, right?!  But wait!  There's more!  When I push on that little cherry, the candles light up!  Check it out!

My Favorite Things - Another Fun Interactive Card and Process Video!

Hello lovelies!

I'm back again today with my monthly interactive card and process video!  Today's project features the Kissing Booth Stamps and dies from this month's release, and I paired them with two of the images from the Zippy Zebras Stamp Set! And to make it interactive, I jimmy-rigged the Double Slider Loop Slots Die-Namics to create a mechanism that will make two images move towards each other simultaneously!

And this is what happens when I tug on the pull-tab!

My Favorite Things - Another Interactive Card & Process Video!

My Favorite Things - Picture Perfect Peek-A-Boo Flip Card & Video

Did you think that I feel off the face of the earth?!!  It's been a very busy couple of weeks, but I'm back home from Florida and finally feeling rested and ready to get inky again!  I have a project that I created using the Picture Perfect Stamp Set, the Polaroid Shaker Frame Die-Namics, and the All Lined Up Background, and I filmed a video to show you how I created this Peek-A-Boo Flip Card!  It's being featured on the MFT Design Blog, as well as on the MFT YouTube Channel!

My Favorite Things - Magic Color Slider Card & Video!

My Favorite Things–Treat Bag Topper Kit Release!

It’s me again!!

I’m back today to share two final projects for this month’s kit, which is the Treat Bag Topper Kit!  I really had so much fun with this kit, and can’t wait for you all to get yours! But before you go shopping, stick around for just a minute or two to check out my last two projects – I even made a process video for my first project that I’ve linked below.

I was inspired by all of the sleepy eyes unicorns that I see around these days.  I thought it’d be so fun to turn the Cottontail Cutie into a sleepy eyes bunny, floral crown and all!  I give step-by step instructions for how I made this in the video that I created for the MFT YouTube Channel (if you click on the YouTube link and leave a comment, you have the chance to win a $20 Gift Voucher!)  Oh, and those cutie patootie mini cookies inside the gusseted treat bag? Those were made by my BRILLIANTLY talented friend, Terri from Fresh Cut Flours!  If you’re ever in the market for amazing sugar cookies, I can recommend her without hesitation – and it’s not just because she’s my bestie! How fun would this treat bag be for a hostess gift if you’re going somewhere for Easter Dinner?

My second project also has an Easter theme, and it’s paired with the Easter Bunnies Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  I thought the sentiment was perfect for the chocolate bunny ears that I picked up at the grocery store.  Those Easter candy aisles are soooo hard to resist!  I’ve listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used for both projects below!
