My Favorite Things - July Release Countdown Day 3 - Half Way to the Big Day!

Hello everyone!

We're half way to the big July Release Day, so I have another fun project featuring more of the release products! Today's project features the Best Friends In the Universe Stamp Set and the Blast Off Die-Namics!

Okay, so this was so much fun to make! That space rocket is a "blast" to create! The color combos are endless, and the backgrounds can be simple or elaborate! I stamped, and die cut that little kitten peeking out of the space rocket window from the Up In the Air Stamp Set. I love it when I can pair previously released product with current product!  I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

My Favorite Things–WSC #399!

Hello again!

I’m back from Arizona, and ready to get some crafty stuff accomplished!  I’m popping in today to share my latest project that was inspired by this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  Here’s the sketch:

And the end result of my inspiration:

This features the Fluttering Friends Stamp Set, which I am obsessed with these days.  I did some masking, ink blending and dry embossing of one of the Inside & Out Stitched Circle Die-Namics, and I stamped the Whimsical Woodgrain Background Stamp onto a Stone Gray Card Stock panel using Grout Gray Dye Ink.  I die cut it using the same die from the Inside & Out Stitched Circle Die-Namics to fit the sketch.  I trimmed the panel into a strip, and adhered it to the Smooth White card base.  I stamped the dragon fly image from the Fluttering Friends Stamp Set, colored it with my colored pencils, and die cut it using the coordinating Fluttering Friends Die-Namics.  I adhered it to the image panel using a foam square.  The sentiment is also from the Fluttering Friends Stamp Set, and I die cut it using the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-Namics and adhered it to the card base with foam squares.  I’ve listed and linked all of the current MFT products that I used below.

My Favorite Things–June Release Countdown Day 4!

It’s me again!

I’m back with another project for the June Release Countdown!  This one features the new Just Beclaws Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

I did a bit of masking, ink blending, and dry embossing to create the beach scene for that cute little crab from the Just Beclaws Stamp Set.  This set is full of super fun images and punny sentiments!  And since my hubby is in the crab business, I’ll be using this set often!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Happy Wednesday!!  If it’s Wednesday, it must mean that it’s time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at the MFT Challenge Blog!  Today’s sketch is a good one – lots of versatility!

And here’s my interpretation of the sketch:

Okay, so I was still playing with my masking stuff for my Camp Create project (have you joined in on all the fun of Camp Create Session Two? You can find all of the deets HERE!), and felt inspired by the sketch to create another flamingo card using the Flamazing Stamp Set.  Ohhhh how I love those delicious flamingos!  And, of course, I had to flip the sketch to suit my purposes – because I’m a rule breaker like that.  LOL  Here’s how I created my project:

1. Trim a 4.25” x 11” card base from Smooth White Card Stock. Score at 5.5”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
2. Trim a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of Smooth White Card Stock.  Mask off the bottom of the panel with some post-it tape.  Blend some Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks with a Mini Ink Blending Tool, to create an ombre water line. Carefully remove the post-it tape, place another piece of post-it tape over the top of the previously inked area.  Blend some Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks to create the ombre sunset. Remove the post-it tape.
3. Add stitched detail to the outside of the image panel by die cutting the stitched rectangle from the Blueprints 24 Die-Namics.
4. Stamp the sentiment from the Tickled Pink Stamp Set using Black Licorice Dye Ink.
5. Stamp the flamingo image from the Flamazing Stamp Set onto some Smooth White Card Stock using Bubblegum Dye, Cotton Candy Dye, Insulation Pink Dye, and Black Licorice Dye Ink. Die cut the image using the coordinating Flamazing Die-Namics.
6. Die cut a circle frame using the Single Stitch Line Circle Frames Die-Namics from Smooth White Card Stock.  Adhere it to the image panel using foam tape.
7. Adhere the flamingo to the image panel using foam squares.
8. Adhere some Sparkling Clear Sequins to the image panel using Multi Medium Matte adhesive.
9. Adhere the image panel to the card base using foam squares.
