I'm back today with a sample for Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday. We got this fun sketch (designed by Joy - thanks, Joy!) to work with, as well as the twist - which is to use some kind of punch. I'm really enjoying my new little Janome Sew Mini, and I feel like I'm really getting the hang of it. I just love how stitching adds such an interesting and unique detail.
The image I've used is a digi image called Bugs Flying (DG2). Digi images are so versatile - you can print them out any size to suit your purposes. Love that! In fact, I almost prefer digi to stamping anymore . . . no ink to mess with . . . just easier all the way around! S2G has a TON of digi images to pick from, and adding more every day.
To fulfill the "twist" requirement, I used two different oval punches and the new oval scallop punch that I just got from my friend, Melissa ().
Check out the beautiful creations of the other S2G DT members:
Want to play along? We'd love for you to create something using this sketch and "punching" it. All the details of the challenge, as well as Mr. Linky can be found if you click on the blinkie below.
