My Favorite Things - January Release: MFT & Friends!

Hey gang!

The day has finally come that you can purchase each and every one of the new January Release products! But before you go shopping, I'd be ever so grateful if you'd take a gander at the project that I created for today's release!

It features one of the sweet images from the Hug It Out Stamp Set, the Heart Extraordinaire Stencil, a sentiment from the Bitty Hugs & Kisses Stamp Set, and the Loopy Love Die-Namics (this month's FREE with $60 Purchase product)! I layered the Heart Extraordinaire Stencil and the Micro Cloud Edges Stencil so that the clouds were contained inside the heart shape. I also used the Grassy Edges Stencil and some Limelight Dye Ink on the Loopy Love die cut, but the effect was somewhat lost once I die cut the word out. My Favorite Things - Another Fun Interactive Card and Process Video!

Hello lovelies!

I'm back again today with my monthly interactive card and process video!  Today's project features the Kissing Booth Stamps and dies from this month's release, and I paired them with two of the images from the Zippy Zebras Stamp Set! And to make it interactive, I jimmy-rigged the Double Slider Loop Slots Die-Namics to create a mechanism that will make two images move towards each other simultaneously!

And this is what happens when I tug on the pull-tab!

Hello again!

As promised, I'm back again today with another January Release Countdown project! Today's project features the new Cute Conversation Stamp Set, Cute Conversation Die-Namics and the Love You Circle Frame Die-Namics!  I paired them with the spinning mechanism similar to the one I used in THIS video!  My design is very clean and simple but has that little extra "pizzazz" with the pull tab spinning feature!

The sentiment is from the previously released Sweet Celebrations Stamp Set, the perfect set for any and all valentine or love-themed designs!  And here's a quick video showing you what happens when I pull on the pull tab:

Hello loves!

As promised yesterday, I'm back again today with another fun project featuring more of the January Release products that will be available for purchase on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM EST!  Today's project, unlike yesterday, absolutely involves calories!  But they are the CUTEST calories ever, so they don't count, right?! My project features the new Sweetie Pie Die-Namics, Sweet As Pie Die-Namics, and the Trendy Tag Die-Namics to create this super sweet valentine gift!  I talked my bestie over at Fresh Cut Flours to make up some her world famous cookies for me, and she knocked them out of the freakin' park!  Check it out!

I mean, seriously!!  Have you ever seen anything cuter?!! The Sweet As Pie, Sweetie Pie and Trendy Tag Die-Namics worked well to create a tag for my valentine treats!  And the Treat Bag Topper Die-Namics and the Stitched Ric Rac only added to the sweetness of this project!  Here's a close up shot of the tag:

Big thank you to my amazing friend, Fresh Cut Flours for dropping everything to make these cookies for me!  I know that the lucky recipient of this gift will be thrilled to little bits! My Favorite Things - You Spin Me 'Round Interactive Card & Process Video!

Hello friends!

I'm popping in quickly today to share another interactive card and process video with you!  Ever since MFT released the Turntable Die-Namics, I've been determined to figure out a pull tab mechanism to make the record spin 360 degrees!  And I'm thrilled to little bits to tell you that I did it and can't wait to share it with you all! My Favorite Things–February 2019 Release Countdown Day 2!

Hello again, my friends!!

I’m back again today to share another project featuring two of the new February Release Products that are soooo stinkin’ cute that I just can’t even imagine that you won’t love them as much as I do!  The new For the Record Stamp Set and the Turntable Die-Namics are really fun and easy to assemble!

I die cut the parts of the Turntable Die-Namics from Black Licorice, Poppy, Smooth White, and Brushed Silver Card Stock.  I stamped the sentiment from the For the Record Stamp Set, and then assembled the turntable – easy peasy!  I love the clean and simple look of this card, yet it still has a ton of interest!  And the sentiments in the For the Record Stamp Set are perfectly sweet and punny, and great for men or women, young or old!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used on this project below.

My Favorite Things/MISTI Product Swap!

Hello again!!

We are teaming up today with the sweet folks from My Sweet Petunia – the brilliant minds behind the MISTI products - to do a fun product swap!!  I’ve mentioned time and time again how much I love my MISTI and the accessories that make stamping absolutely fool proof!  So I’m super excited to share a project that I created using some of the new January Release products with the awesome MISTI products!

So, I used the MISTI to do what I’m calling a variation of the “camouflage” technique!!  I placed three panels of card stock – Smooth White, Razzle Berry, and Black Licorice – into my Original MISTI and stamped them with the sentiment from the new Sweet Nothings Stamp Set.  It’s important to stamp the sentiment in exactly the same place each time in order for the next step to work out perfectly.  And that’s only possible with the MISTI. I die cut the white panel using the largest of the elongated hexagon dies from the Blueprints 33 Die-Namics.  I die cut the Razzle Berry panel using the “Free with $60 Purchase” Straight From the Heart Die-Namics (just the heart die), and then die cut the arrow included in the Straight From the Heart Die-Namics from the Black Licorice panel, making sure to align all three elements with the sentiment.  Once that was done it made it perfectly easy to align the heart and the arrow with the stamped sentiment on the main panel.  Here’s a pic of what the panels looked like after stamping and die cutting them.

My other favorite way to use my MISTI is to use the inside left and upper edge of MISTI tool to align patterned paper onto my card base perfectly.  Have you ever tried to place patterned paper on top of a card base and have it end up being wonky because you just eyeballed it wrong?  Well, the MISTI makes sure that that never happens again.  Here are two pictures showing exactly what I did.

I promise you the MISTI will save you a lot of grief!!  I can’t imagine my stamping life without it.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Okay, so I finally had a chance to play with the Heart Tree Die-Namics.  It’s a super fun die that is really easy to make into clean and simple designs, but would also work great with more detailed designs!  And it provided me another fun opportunity to do my favorite alcohol ink smearing technique that I swiped from Laurie Willison!  LOL  I paired the Heart Tree Die-Namics with the Sweet Celebrations Stamp Set, which fit perfectly in between those two lines of glitter.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Hello my loves!

I told you that I was working on some fun stuff behind the scenes, and today I’m thrilled to be here to help kick off the “Love Is In the Air” series of inspiration posts being shared over at the MFT Design Blog for the next three days!! My projects feature many of this month’s new release products, and focus on Valentine treats for kids and teachers!

Fun, right?!! I had a blast creating the treat toppers using the new Rainbows & Unicorns Stamp Set and coordinating dies, and the Cutieasaurus Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  And the tag for the teacher gift was created using the new Treat Tag Die-Namics and the new Sweet Stack 6 x 6 Paper Pack!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

My Favorite Things–January Release: MFT & Friends!

Well hello again!

Well the day has finally arrived for all of the amazing January Release products to make their way into your inky little hands!! And I suspect the new products are going to literally fly out the door, so be sure and place your order – just as soon as you look at my project!!  LOL

I was excited to finally have a chance to ink up the new Hearts Entwined Stamp Set!  You can do so many fun things with this stamp, but I really wanted to try the shadow stamping technique with it!  I stamped the image first using some Razzle Berry Hybrid Ink (tone on tone for the first stamp is best for this technique).  Before the next step, I prepped my Razzle Berry image panel with an embossing powder bag; you could also heat set the Hybrid Ink just for good measure.  I did all of my stamping in my Mini MISTI so that I could then shift the panel ever so slightly (like 1/16” down) and restamp the image using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  I then heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder.  I was pretty darned happy with how it turned out!  I die cut the outside edge the panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-Namics and then adhered it to a Razzle Berry A2 card base.  The sentiment is from the new Sweet Nothings Stamp Set, and was stamped in Razzle Berry Hybrid Ink, and then die cut using the Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-Namics.  I added some Sparkling Clear sequins and #BOOM – done!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

My Favorite Things–January Release Countdown Day 1!!

Hello again!!

We’re almost there, friends – today is the final day before the January Release goes live!  So hang in there just one more day!!  Today’s project features the Mondo Cheers Die-Namic and one of the sentiments from the Sassy Pants Love Stamp Set.

Well, if you haven’t figured it out already, there’s been a couple of themes throughout this Release Countdown – at least, for me – rainbows and love.  Two of my favorite subjects!  So I hope you love them as much as I do!  I die cut the Mondo Cheers Die-Namic four times from Smooth White card stock, adhered the layers together with liquid adhesive, and ink blended the top layer with some distress inks to create the rainbow effect.  I stamped the sentiment, from the Sassy Pants Love Stamp Set, onto some Black Licorice card stock, and die cut it using a banner die from the Blueprints 27 Die-Namics.  I adhered the sentiment strip and the word die cut to the elongated hexagon created using one of the dies from the Blueprints 33 Die-Namics.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below (although the links to the newest products will not be live until tomorrow morning!)

Aaackkk . . . we’re almost to the release date!  Can you stand the wait?!!  I’m dying, and I’ve already seen the January release!  I can’t even imagine how crazed you all are!  I’m back today with another project, this one featuring the new Hearts Entwined Die-Namics and the Sweet Nothings Stamp Set!

Once again, I’ve paired those amazingly fun Hearts Entwined with some rainbow smeared alcohol inks behind the negative of the die cut.  The sentiment is from the new Sweet Nothings Stamp Set, and is stamped onto some Black Licorice Card Stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below (keeping in mind that the links to the January Release products will not be live until the release.

My Favorite Things–January Release Countdown Day 3!

We are one day closer to the January Release date, and I have another project to share with you for Countdown Day 3!  It features the new Once Upon a Rainbow Die-Namics, and the sentiment is from the new Rainbows & Unicorns Stamp Set!

Again, I stayed pretty clean and simple.  I did a bit of ink blending with some Tumbled Glass on a panel of watercolor cardstock.  I also blended more distress inks onto a Smooth White panel to create the rainbow, that I then die cut using the new Once Upon A Rainbow Die-Namics.  The clouds, also part of the Once Upon A Rainbow Die-Namics, were die cut out of Smooth White card stock.  The sentiment, from the Rainbows & Unicorns Stamp Set, was stamped onto the panel using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.  The hearts were die cut from some Poppy Card Stock using the multi-hearts die from the Baby Rattle Die-Namics.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below (keeping in mind that the new January product links will not be live until the release.)
