My Favorite Things - Outside the Box Challenge: Balloons!

Hello friends!

I'm super excited to be sharing a project that I created that was inspired by this month's Outside the Box Challenge! This month's challenge is all about celebrating with balloons! And considering this is graduation season, I knew this was the perfect time to bust out the Pumped-Up Letters and Pumped-Up Numbers Die-Namics to personalize a graduation card! And, of course, I pulled out the Outside the Box - Level Up Die-Namics and the Outside the Box Clouds Die-Namics! There was lots of die-cutting happening in my craft room today! LOL

We have two special graduates in our lives, so this will definitely be floating towards one of them! I had some shiny rainbow card stock in my stash, so I used that to die cut the balloon letters and numbers. The clouds were die cut from Vellum, and the box card was die cut from Smooth White and Something Blue card stock. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Basics Stamp Set, which is the "Free with $60 Purchase" Stamp Set from this month's card kit release! I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other outstanding projects that my fellow teammates have created for your inspiration using the Outside the Box products and balloons! And while you're there, why not link up a project of your own for a chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you can't win if you don't play!

That'll do it for me today, friends! I'll be back soon with more crafty stuff! Until then, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Avery Elle–Modern Alphabet and Sentimental Too!

Hello stampy friends!!

I’m back today to share a couple of projects that I created using some awesome new products from the Avery Elle Spring 2017 Release!  My first project features the new Modern Alphabet Stamp Set, which is an awesome stamp set – it’s even better when you pair it with the coordinating Modern Alphabet Dies!

PRODUCTS USED:

So, the the Modern Alphabet Stamp Set has two separate alphabets – a bold solid, as well as an open font.  Super versatile for building your own sentiments or personalizing any project!  And the Modern Alphabet Dies, as you can see in the word “Dream”!  Right?!!  No stamp collection should be without the new Modern Alphabet Stamp Set, and coordinating dies.

PRODUCTS USED:

My second project features the new Sentimental Too Stamps – a sequel to the original Sentimental Stamp Set.  Again, this stamp set has companion dies that take this sentiment building stamp set to the next level!  I paired the sentiments from the Sentimental Too Stamps with the presents from the Christmas Packages Stamp Set – after a bit of stamp surgery, of course.  Hee hee hee
I’ve listed and linked the products I used below each of the photos, above.  Please click on through to the Avery Elle Design Blog for more incredible inspiration from my uber talented teammates!
That’s it for me today, friends!  We’re spending the weekend with our grandkids, and having a blast!  I’ll be back soon with more creative stuff!  I hope you’ll drop by again, soon!  Until then, thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Avery Elle–Hats Off!

Hello friends!!

I’m popping in to share another project that I created using the Avery Elle Spring 2016 Release!  This project features the new Hats Off Stamp Set and coordinating Hats Off Elle-Ments.  I also used the new Double Pierced Square Elle-Ments to create the Polaroid frame, and the Pierced Cloud Elle-Ments to create a cloud mask that I used to create the clouds!

3-11-18-Hats-Off

Here’s how I created the project.

  1. Trim an A2, vertical top-folding card base from New Moon Card Stock.  Score at 5.5”, fold in half and perfect crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
  2. Die cut an image panel from Solar White Card Stock using the Double Pierced Rectangle Elle-Ments.
  3. Die cut another rectangle from Solar White Card Stock using the Double Pierced Rectangle Elle-Ments; die cut a square from the rectangle using the Double Pierced Square Elle-Ments.
  4. Die cut the hand mask from some masking tape using the coordinating Hats Off Elle-Ments.
  5. Die cut a cloud mask/stencil from acetate using the Pierced Cloud Elle-Ments.
  6. Mask off a square on the image panel slightly larger than the square of the Polaroid frame using masking tape.  Adhere the hand mask at the bottom of the masked off square.
  7. Using the cloud mask/stencil, blend some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto the image panel to create clouds.  Remove the hands mask.
  8. Stamp the hands image from the Hats Off Stamp Set onto the image panel using New Moon Dye Ink.  Color the hands with Copic Markers.
  9. Stamp the sentiment from the Hats Off Stamp Set onto the bottom of the Polaroid frame using New Moon Dye Ink.  Adhere the Polaroid frame with foam squares so that the clouds and hands are revealed through the aperture of the frame.
  10. Stamp the grad cap four times on Solar White Card Stock using New Moon Dye Ink.  Color them with Copic Markers.  Die cut them out using the Hats Off Elle-Ments.  Adhere them to the image panel and inside the Polaroid frame using foam squares.

That’s it!  It looks more complicated than it really is!  And graduation  season will be here before you know it!  I think I’ll be making a few more of these to have on hand . . . no doubt I’ll be needing them!  Please click on through to the Avery Elle Design Blog where you’ll find a plethora of additional inspiration and creativity!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today – I hope you know how much I appreciate it!  Have a great day and weekend!

Avery Elle Design Team–Numbered Balloons!!

TGIF, friends!!

Right?!!  Seriously, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks for me!  And it’s only going to get crazier for me through the end of May.  But I’m plugging along and wanted to pop in and share another project that I created for the current Avery Elle release.  This one features the Numbered Balloons Elle-Ments, which also has a coordinating stamp set of the same name.

5-22-15 Numbered Balloons

It’s graduation season, people!!  My grandson will be graduating from pre-school next month.  It makes me think about him graduating from high school . . . it’ll be here before I know it!  *sigh*  So I thought this would be a super fun card for that grad in your life!!  Here’s how I created it:

  1. I trimmed an A2 top-folding card base from white cardstock, scored at 5.5” and perfected the crease with a teflon bone folder.
  2. I die cut the numbered balloons from gold and royal blue foil cardstock using the Numbered Balloons Elle-Ments.  I adhered the balloons to the card base with foam squares.
  3. I die cut the grad cap from some New Moon cardstock using a die that I had in my stash (this is not an Avery Elle product) and adhered it to the 0 Numbered Balloon die cut with some adhesive.
  4. I adhered some white crochet thread behind each balloon with glue dots, gathered them together at the bottom and tied a bow.  I adhered that to the card base with another glue dot.
  5. I die cut a panel from some white cardstock using the Dotted Borders Elle-Ments.  I stamped the sentiment from the Circle It stamp set with some New Moon pigment ink and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder.
  6. I adhered the sentiment panel to the card base with foam squares.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!!!  This came together super fast and could even be mass produced pretty quickly for all those grads in your life!!  For another great Avery Elle project, please click on through to the Avery Elle Design Blog!  It’s always full of inspiration!!

That’s it for me today, friends.  We only have a couple more days with my daughter and son-in-law, and then we’re headed back to Washington.  My, how the time flies!!  So crazy!!!  I hope you have a lovely Memorial Day Weekend!  I’ll be back on Monday to share another My Favorite Things project!!  Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope you’ll visit again soon!
