Avery Elle Throw Back Thursday–Lots of Love!


Hello!!

I’m popping in quickly to share a project that I created for the Avery Elle Throw Back Thursday!!  This month’s Throwback Thursday featured set is called Lots of Love – a set full of very versatile sentiments to show your love and appreciation for someone you love and/or admire.

I love these Throw Back Thursdays because they give me a chance to pull out older stamp sets that I forget how much I loved them.  Here’s how I created this project:

  1. Trim a horizontal A2 top-folding card base from Solar White Card Stock; score at 4.25”, fold in half and perfect crease with Teflon Bone Folder.
  2. Using a Mini Ink Blending Tool, lightly blend Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink onto the front of the card base.
  3. Lay the Falling Hearts Stencil on top of the ink blended card base, secure it with painter’s tape, and use a baby wipe or wet rag to gently dab at the heart openings, carefully removing the distress ink.
  4. Using the large A2 rectangle die from the Custom Panels Elle-Ments, die cut an image panel from Solar White Card Stock.  Die cut an opening in the image panel and a sentiment panel using the Double Pierced Rectangle Elle-Ments.
  5. Adhere the outside frame to the card base with foam squares.
  6. Stamp the sentiment from the Lots of Love Stamp Set onto the center of the sentiment rectangle using Onyx Black Pigment Ink.  Heat emboss the sentiment with Clear Embossing Powder.  Adhere the sentiment panel to the card base with foam squares.
  7. Die cut hearts from Silver Glitter Paper using the heart dies from the Sweet Scallops Elle-Ments.  Adhere them to the sentiment panel with Multi Matte Medium.

That’s it – super easy and a fresh take on an older stamp set.  Plus, I think this would make someone’s day to receive it in the mail – perfect for Jennifer McGuire’s Spread Handmade Kindness Campaign!  This baby is going in the mail to someone special today – maybe it’ll be you!

Avery Elle–Throw Back Thursday: Alice & Friends!!

It’s time for another Avery Elle Throwback Thursday project!!  Today a few of the Avery Elle designers are creating projects using the Alice & Friends Stamps and coordinating Elle-Ments.  Here’s my project:

8-6-15-TBT-Alice-&-Friends

Sadly, I probably need a million of these cards.  For a card maker, I SUCK at sending them out!!  I’m notoriously late for every single birthday – including my children!!  LOL  Here’s how I created my project:

  1. Trim an A2 top-folding card base from White Linen card stock.  Score at 5.5”, fold in half and perfect crease with a teflon bone folder.
  2. Trim an A2 panel from White Linen card stock and die cut it using the Wonky Stitches Elle-Ments.  Adhere the panel to the card base with foam squares.
  3. Die cut a tag from some Silver Fox Diagonal Stripe designer paper (from the Neutral Collection 6 x 6 Pad) using the Gift Tags Elle-Ments.  Tie some black and white baker’s twine through the hole in the tag.  Adhere the tag to the image panel with foam squares.
  4. Stamp the white rabbit image from the Alice & Friends Stamp Set onto some Solar White card stock using Tuxedo Black Ink.  Color with Copic Markers.  Die cut the white rabbit using the Alice & Friends Elle-Ments.
  5. Stamp the pocket watch onto some Solar White card stock using Tuxedo Black Ink, and color it with Copic Markers.  Fussy cut the watch using detail scissors.
  6. Stamp the banner and sentiment from the Alice & Friends Stamp Set and die cut it using the Alice & Friends Elle-Ments.
  7. Adhere the white rabbit, pocket watch, and sentiment banner to the tag with foam squares.
  8. Adhere enamel dots to the image panel.  Cover the pocket watch with Glossy Accents.

Super easy and quick!!  I’ve listed the products that I used below.  I hope you’re better at sending cards out than I am.  Let’s just say that I should not be the example to follow.  It’s a wonder I have any family or friends left!!  LOL Believe me when I tell you this is just one of many character flaws that I have.  LOL

Avery Elle–throwback Thurday: Write It!


Well hello!!

I’m back today to share a fresh take on the previously released Avery Elle stamp set – yet still very trendy and relevant - called Write It!  This stamp set features super cool and bold scripted sentiments and a truly fabulous ink pen.  I love it!  Here’s what I created for our Throwback Thursday feature!

I decided to use one of those amazingly bold yet elegant sentiments and smother it in gold!  What do you think?  I think it’s pretty dramatic and fun, especially since gold is such a big deal these days!!  I’ve listed the products that I used below.
