My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #542: I'm Never Not Thinking of You

Hello friends!

Did you think I fell off the face of the earth again?! Our kids and grandkids were visiting last week, so I decided to be "present" while they were here - which meant that my crafting had to go on the back burner for a bit. But I'm back and bringing you a project that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! And it's a double bonus project because I hadn't had a chance to play with this month's Floral Focus Card Kit! So I pulled it out and went to town! Here's this week's sketch:

And here's what I created!

I pulled out the In-Focus Florals Die-Namics, dies that could be purchased separately from this month's kit, but coordinate with the kit contents beautifully! I am dying over the intricate details of these die cuts! And I am swooning over how cool they look when stacked black on top of white! I blended some Poppin' Pink, Lemon Drop and Summer Splash Dye Inks to create my rainbow (have I mentioned how AMAZING these new dye inks blend - like BUTTAH!), and then ink blended the same inks over the Punch Pattern Stencil to create the background. The sentiment is from the Friends Like You Stamp Set (also part of this month's kit) and was stamped onto Black Licorice Card Stock using white pigment ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment strip using the Slimline Skinny Strips Die-Namics (which can also be purchased separately from the kit!) I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below!

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other beautiful projects that my fellow teammates have created using this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! And while you're there, why not link up your own design inspired by this week's Sketch for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you have to play along to be eligible!

That'll do it for me today, kids! I'll be back on Friday with another challenge project! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

My Favorite Things - Miss Your Hugs Card Kit Release!

Hello again!

Today is the day that all of the goodies contained in the Miss Your Hugs Card Kit are finally available for purchase! But before you go shopping, please take a minute to check out my project for today's post! It features two of the components from the Miss Your Hugs Card Kit - the Happy Rainbows Die-Namics and the Long Distance Hugs Friendship Tokens!

I once again stayed true to my clean and simple nature. I die cut the largest of the Happy Rainbows Die-Namics from several colors of cardstock, including some gold glitter card stock. I punched a hole at the end of the orange vein of the rainbow using a 1/8" hole punch. Once I adhered all of the rainbow pieces to the image panel, I punched another 1/8" hole in one of the Long Distance Hugs Friendship Token and tied it to the rainbow using some black and white twine. Each kit will include a package of the Long Distance Hugs Friendship Tokens, and you can purchase additional packages if you need more! The clouds were created using the previously released Cute Cloud Outlines Die-Namics. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other outstanding projects that my fellow teammates have created using the Miss Your Hugs Card Kit! And while you're there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It''s a random draw, but you can't win if you don't comment on each of the linked blogs! The Miss Your Hugs Card Kit is available for purchase now and can be found by clicking on the graphic below.

That'll do it for me today, friends! I'll be back very soon with more crafty stuff! Until then, I hope you have an amazing day and that you are well!

My Favorite Things - Miss Your Hugs Card Kit Day 1: Last Day of Sneaks!

Hello friends!

Today is the final day of the Miss Your Hugs Card Kit sneak peeks! I've got a super fun project to share with you that uses the I Miss Your Hugs Stamp Set and the "Free With $60 Purchase" Love Speech Bubbles Die-Namics from this months kit!

First of all, I wanted a very clean and simple design, because I feel that CAS suits this kit so well! From the I Miss Your Hugs Stamp Set, I used the two layering stamps to create the world, stamping the continents with Limelight Dye Ink, and the oceans with Summer Splash Ink. I stamped the solid image (oceans) a second time using embossing ink, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to add some dimension. I stamped the sentiment from the I Miss Your Hugs Stamp Set using black pigment ink, and again heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. I used the Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil to create a blue shadow around the focal images and trimmed the panel to 3.75" x 5.0". I adhered a 5.5" x 4.25" piece of striped paper from the Christmas Cheer 6 x 6 Paper Pack to an A2 Summer Splash Card Base, and adhered the image panel to the card base with foam squares. I die cut one of the "Free With $60 Purchase" Love Speech Bubbles Die-Namics from Razzle Berry card stock and adhered it to the image panel with foam tape. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used, although the links to the card kit won't be live until the release tomorrow.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other tremendous projects that my fellow teammates have created using components from this month's card kit! And while you're there, be sure and leave a comment for your chance to win a $25 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you can't win if you don't comment! The Miss Your Hugs Card Kit will be available for purchase on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM EST!

That'll do it for me today, kids! I'll be back again tomorrow with another project using this month's card kit! Until then, please stay safe and have an amazing day!

My Favorite Things - Fox & Friends Card Kit RELEASE!

 Hello everyone!

I'm so happy to be popping in today to share another project that I created using this month's Fox & Friends Card Kit! The components of the kit are so much fun to play with, but I once again was diverted from the kit color scheme and set out to create a clean and simple, one layer card, that I could potentially mass produce for my holiday cards!

So I pulled out my Foiled Frames Rectangles hot foil dies and created that sparkly border. I then stamped the main image, and one of the sentiments from the "KIT EXCLUSIVE" My Neck of the Woods Stamp Set onto the panel using embossing ink and heat embossed them with silver embossing powder. I stamped the snow image from the Fox & Friends Stamp Set, and the scripty holiday sentiment from the previously released Snow Globe Sentiments Stamp Set, again using embossing ink and heat embossing them with silver embossing powder. I used a white colored pencil to add some snow effects. And that's it! That's about as simple as it can get for mass producing holiday cards! I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other beautiful projects that my amazing teammates have created for your inspiration using the Fox & Friends Card Kit! And while you're there, be sure and leave a comment for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! One random winner will be chosen, but you can't win if you don't comment! The Fox & Friends Card Kit is available for purchase NOW and can be found by clicking on the graphic below!

Okay, friends, that'll do it for me today! I'll be back soon with more crafty goodness! Until then, have a wonderful day and please stay safe!

My Favorite Things - Fox & Friends Card Kit: Second Day of Sneak Peeks!

 Hello everyone!

I hope you're loving the potential of the Fox & Friends Card Kit as much as I am! I mean, the critters are stinkin' adorable, and the sweetness of the houses and scenery are just too beautiful for words. I was immediately thrown into a "cabin in the woods" kind of mood as soon as I saw the components of this kit, especially with the "kit exclusive" My Neck of the Woods Stamp Set.

If you know me at all, I am OBSESSED with Buffalo Plaid, so I saw this as the perfect opportunity to ignore the set color scheme of the kit and deviate with some red and black Buffalo Plaid, using the Buffalo Plaid Background Stamp! I die cut an aperture from the plaid panel using the Tall Snow Globe Die-Namics. And then I stamped the image from the My Neck of the Woods Stamp Set (available only if you purchase the Kit) onto a Kraft card base using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I colored the image using my Copic Markers and a white colored pencil to accent the image. The sentiment, also from the My Neck of the Woods Stamp Set, was also stamped with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The falling snow is one of the images from the Fox & Friends Stamp Set, again stamped with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below (although the links to the kit won't be live until the release.)

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other darling projects that my fellow teammates have created for your inspiration using the Fox & Friends Card Kit! And while you're there, be sure and leave a comment for your chance to win a $25 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! The winner will be chosen randomly, but you can't win if you don't comment! The Fox & Friends Card Kit will be available for purchase on Tuesday, October 12, 2020 at 10:00 AM EDT! And here's a picture of what the kit includes:

The value of this kit is remarkable, and I believe that it is going to fly off the shelves - so don't hesitate when it becomes available!

That'll do it for me today, friends! I'll be back again tomorrow with another project featuring the Fox & Friends Card Kit! Until then, thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

My Favorite Things - Sky-High Friends July Card Kit Day 1 - One More Day to Release!

Hello again!

I'm back again today with another sweet project featuring the Sky-High Friends July Card Kit! I'm telling you, this kit is amazingly adorable and so fun and easy to work with for many occasions!

Today's project features the image from the Best Adventure Bears Stamp Set, which I stamped, colored and die cut using the coordinating Best Adventure Bears Die-Namics. Then I stamped the Crosshatch Polka Dot Background onto a panel of Blu Raspberry card stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, to give the illusion of clouds in the sky. I stamped the sentiment from the Sky-High Friends Stamp Set onto the Smooth White card base, at an angle, with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.  Then I adhered the Blu Raspberry panel to the card, using the sentiment angle to position and adhere the panel to the card base with foam squares.  I used my scissors to trim off the excess Blu Raspberry panel. I die cut some of those adorable Petite Clouds Die-Namics (the FREE with $60 Purchase item) from Smooth White card stock, and adhered them to the card base.  I added a few of my fave Sparkling Clear Sequins, and I'm good to go! I can't get over how perfectly all of the components of this Sky-High Friends Card Kit mix and match for utterly perfect projects! I loved this sweet image from the Sky-High Friends Stamp Set and was thrilled for the chance to build a precious scene around it. My Favorite Things - Icing on the Cupcake Card Kit Inspiration!

Hello again!

I'm back again today to share one more project that I created using this month's Icing on the Cupcake Card Kit! I'm telling you, this kit inspires so many fun and creative designs! And I really like how this one turned out!

I used the Cupcake and Sprinkles Dies (included in the kit) to die cut the cupcake wrapper, the sprinkles, and the aperture in the center of the card base.  I used the A2 Rectangle Frame Die-Namics to die cut the green polka dot pattern from the Candy Land 6 x 6 Paper Pack, and I popped that off the card base with foam squares.  I did a bit of stamp surgery and used my scissors to cut apart the sentiment from the Sugar-Coated Sentiments Stamp Set (included in the kit), and I stamped the first portion of the sentiment onto some Lavender Fields card stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I die cut it using the Skinny Strips Die-Namics, and I used a white gel pen to add the ellipses at the end. I adhered the cupcake wrapper to the front using some foam squares, and added some enamel dots for movement!  Here's a picture of what the inside of the card looks like:

I used the inside of the green polka dot die cut from the A2 Rectangle Frame die cut as my image panel.  I used the icing die from the Cupcake and Sprinkles Dies to die cut the same aperture as I did on the front of the card.  I positioned the polka dot panel onto the inside card base, traced the inside of the icing with my pencil, and used that area to adhere the sprinkles that I die cut from Sour Apple, Blu Raspberry and Lavender Fields card stock and a glue pen.  I applied tape runner adhesive to the back of the polka dot panel and adhered the cupcake pouch (20 pouches are included in the kit) through the aperture. I added some white sprinkles to the inside of the pouch and sealed it with a 2" x 2" piece of acetate.  I placed the assembled cupcake pouch through the aperture of the front of the card, and closed the card to assure perfect positioning on the inside of the card.  I stamped the second portion of the sentiment onto Lavender Fields card stock with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and die cut it using the Fishtail Flag Trio Die-Namics.  I haven't decorated the inside of a card in so long, and I love the peek-a-boo effect that this technique provides!  I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below!

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other super cute projects that my fellow teammates have created for your inspiration using the Icing on the Cupcake Card Kit! And don't forget to leave a comment along the way for your chance to win a $25 shopping spree to the MFT Online Boutique! You can grab your kit by clicking on the graphic below!

That'll do it for me today, kids!  I'll be back on Wednesday with a Sketch Challenge Card.  Until then, thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
