KKL_MAY3018-Content-Video

I’m popping in quickly to share a project and a video that I created for the MFT YouTube Channel!  You can find the step-by-step video HERE. I won’t go into a lot of detail, but the video features a simple slider tab for the new Circle Shaker Treat Pouches to release the goodies inside the pouch without ruining your project!  I’ve listed and linked the products that I used below!  I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did creating it for you!

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’ll be heading south tomorrow so still a lot of details to take care of until then!  But I’ll be back tomorrow and the coming days with the June Release Countdown!  I hope you’ll drop by again real soon!!

My Favorite Things–May Release Countdown Day 3!

Hello my loves!

Print

Are you having as much fun checking out the previews of the new May products as I am?  Well, you’re in luck – we have another great day of fabulous products to share!  Today’s project features the new Scallop Cross-Stitch Tag Die-Namics!  I have fallen in LOVE with stitching on my projects and creating items that I hope will be treasured by the recipients as much as I treasure the time making them!

KKL_MAY0518-CD-Day-3

So, you all now know – after yesterday’s post – that I have a new grandson in my life.  So I made up some sweet tags to attach to some muslin swaddles that I thought my daughter would like.  And I thought the new Scallop Cross-Stitch Tag Die-Namics would be perfect to make something she could keep in his baby book.  The Scallop Cross-Stitch Tag Die-Namics are amazing, and coordinate perfectly with the previously released Cross-Stitch Tag Die-Namics.  The scallops add a lovely accent, and the Cross-Stitch Tag Die-Namics layers perfectly on top of it, if you like to do a layered look.  I used the tag topper and hole reinforcer dies from the Cross-Stitch Tag Die-Namics to die cut the top portion of the tag and adhered it to the Scallop Cross-Stitch Tag die cut.  And I stamped the sentiment from the Hello, Little One Stamp Set.  Perfect pairing, I think – don’t you?!  Here’s what the tag looks like attached to the swaddles.

Cute, right?!  Hopefully sweet baby James will enjoy the swaddles, and mommy will love the love and thought behind the tag.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.  And I believe that the pattern for my tags is included in the Printable Resources section of the MFT Design Blog, that you can find HERE.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fantastic projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration!  And while you’re there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique. The new May Release products will be available on Tuesday, May 8th at 9:00 PM EDT.

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’ll be back again tomorrow with another May Release project, so I hope you’ll come by to visit again soon!  Have an awesome day!

My Favorite Things–May Release Countdown Day 4!

Hello again!!

Print

I’m back again today with another super fun project featuring more new products from the My Favorite Things May Release!  Today’s project features the new Hello, Little One Stamp Set and coordinating dies, as well as the new Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Background.

KKL_MAY0418-CD-Day-4

Now you all may or may not be aware that I have a new grandson.  Meet James Patrick Pavlish, born April 11, 2018 and weighed all of 5 lbs. 15 oz.  He was 17 days early and was sooo tiny.  But just a little sweetie pie!!  I recently purchased one of those HP Sprocket Printers – it prints out 2” x 3” photos, which was just what the doctor ordered for this project!  I figured my daughter could use some thank you notes for all of the kindnesses that their friends had bestowed upon them, so the Hello, Little One Stamp Set really came in handy!  I stamped the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Background Stamp onto some Sno Cone Card Stock using some Berrylicious Hybrid Ink.  I stamped the stork from the Hello, Little One Stamp Set onto some Stone Gray Card Stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I die cut him with the coordinating Hello, Little one Die-Namics.  I die cut the mini polaroid frame using the Precious Polaroids Die-Namics, and that little photo of sweet baby James fit inside the opening perfectly!  The sentiment from the Hello, Little One Stamp Set was stamped using VersaMark and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other May Release Countdown Day 4 projects from my teammates!  I’m sure they’ll wow you with their brilliance!  And while you’re there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher from the MFT Online Boutique.  The May Release will be available for purchase on Tuesday, May 8th at 9:00 PM PDT.

That’s it for me today!  I’ll be back tomorrow with another fun project featuring the May Release products!  I hope you’ll drop again very soon!  Have an awesome day!

Essentials By Ellen December Mini Hop–Day 3–Confetti Flinger!

Hello friends!!

ig-20171203-ebe-release-available

Welcome to my blog!!  If you’ve arrived here from Laurel Beard's blog, you’re in the right place!  If not, you may have gotten lost along the way – I’ve listed all of the stops in today’s hop below (it starts at the Ellen Hutson ClassROOM Blog) – trust me, you’re going to want to start at the beginning!!

I’m sooo excited to be here to share a project that I created with the UBER innovative and super fun new die from the Essentials By Ellen December Release!!  That Julie Ebersole has done it again, friends!!  She’s come up with a die to help you engineer and add an amazing interactive idea into your projects!!  The Confetti Finger Die is one of THE MOST brilliant ideas I have ever come across in papercrafting, and I’m super excited to share a project that I created with it! This is the front of the card:

And this is what it looks like when you open it up!

I don’t know what stage of life you all are in, but in my life – gender reveals are happening all around me!  My youngest daughter and her hubby are expecting baby #2, and we’re about to find out what they’re having any day now!  [EDITED TO ADD:  I must have had a premonition when I created this card back in November, as Baby #2 is, in fact, A BOY!!  WOOHOO!!]  They live in Portland, so not everyone can be present when they reveal the gender of their baby!  So I thought it’d be so fun to create a gender reveal card – and the Confetti Flinger provides the perfect mechanism for that!  When you open up the card, baby-themed confetti comes flying out of that little glassine pocket!! BRILLIANT, right?! I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below!  AND, the genius behind the Confetti Flinger (Julie Ebersole) has done a little video demonstrating the assembly of this amazing mechanism so that you can see just how stinkin’ easy and innovative it really is!  You can find the video HERE!  I have a million ideas as to how to use this baby, so you can be sure that you’ll be seeing it here on my blog often!

My Favorite Things–March New Product Launch!

Hello my friends!!

Print

The time has come for the My Favorite Things March New Product Launch to go live!!  Have you been following all of the Countdown posts leaving you with some amazing inspiration using this month’s release?!!  I mean, this month’s release is so fun and cute!!  I was especially inspired by the Welcome, Baby Stamp Set and the Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-Namics!  So inspired, in fact, that I created TWO projects for today’s release!  I mean, come on – could they be any cuter?  Here is my first project:

KKL_MAR0717-New-Product-Launch

For this project, I created a little polaroid using the Inside & Out Rectangle and Square Die-Namics.  I blended some Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks on the inside portion fo the polaroid to create the sky, and I paper-pieced the baby clothes and clothes line using the Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-Namics and several patterned paper pads.  The sentiment is from the Welcome, Baby Stamp Set and was stamped using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, then a second time using VersaMark, and heat embossed using Clear Detail Embossing Powder.  I find that this really sets off the sentiment and is the easiest way to heat emboss a sentiment so that you don’t have stray bits of colored embossing powder.  I’ve listed all of the products that I used below.

My second project again uses the Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-Namics and the Welcome, Baby Stamp Set to create another fun little scene, this one featuring the Picket Fence Die-Namics, and a vellum layer die cut using the stitched scallop rectangle from the Blueprints 27 Die-Namics.  I felt like the scalloped vellum gave the illusion of clouds.  Again, I did some ink blending, and lots of cute paper piecing of the baby clothes.  Aaackkkkk – are they not just the cutest things ever?  I’ve, again, listed all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the My Favorite Things Design Blog to be linked to the other incredible projects that my amazing teammates have created for your inspiration!  And be sure and leave some love along the way, as you’ll have a chance to win an awesome prize!  All of this month’s New Release Products are available NOW and can be purchased from the My Favorite Things Online Boutique by clicking on the graphic below.

That’s it for me today, friends!!  I’m crafting away in my studio in an attempt to get a handle on some deadlines!!  I’m so lucky to get to play with such amazing product every single day.  I’ve got the best job ever!  I hope you enjoy the New Product Launch hop and that you see some fabulous inspiration!  Thanks so much for stopping by today – I appreciate it more than you know!  I’ll be back soon with more crafty goodies very soon!  Until then, have a great day!
