Hello Crafty Peeps!!
I’m back today with another project for the next Color Throw Down Challenge #369. Check out this amazing color combo!
Isn’t it so beautiful?!! I love those gorgeous fall colors, and the inspiration photo is yummy! Here’s my take on the challenge:
I have had that tree border die for FOREVER!! I’m so happy that I finally got a chance to break it out. Here’s how I created my project:
- Trim an A2 side horizontal card base from White Linen Card Stock; score at 4.25”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
- Die cut a pierced frame from White Linen Card Stock using the Pierced Rectangle Frame Die-Namics.
- On a panel of Solar White Card Stock and using a Mini Ink Blending Tool, blend some Crushed Olive, Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick Distress Inks. Die cut the tree border from the ink blended panel using the Boddington Tree Border Die.
- Adhere the tree border die cut to the pierced frame die cut using Multi Medium Matte.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Sunday Sentiments Stamp Set onto the card base using Tangy Orange Dye Ink.
- Adhere the pierced frame to the center of the card base with foam squares.
- Adhere the sequins to the card base with Multi Medium Matte.
Easy peasy, lemon squeezie! This little bit of fall loveliness will be going into the mail to one of my sweet high school girlies. She’s always doing random acts of kindness, and her beautiful cards are often showing up in my mail box. It’s time I finally repay the kindness!!! I hope she likes it. I’ve listed the products that I used below.
