My Favorite Things–December MFT & Friends!

Hello again!

MFTandFriends

The time has finally come for you to be able to purchase this month’s new release products!!  But before you go shopping, I have one last project to share with you!  This one features the new Bold Beautiful Die-Namics and the Hello, Beautiful Stamp Set.

KKL_DEC0718-CD-Day-4

I am in LOVE with this amazingly graphic die!! I did some ink blending on a panel of watercolor paper, and then replaced the BE and U with Black Licorice Card Stock to make them stand out from the other letters.  I also love that the outside border can be used together with the core letters or on its own.  This baby will be used often!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other beautiful projects that my sweet teammates have created for you!  While you’re there, and before you go, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win one of TWO $100 Gift Vouchers to the MFT Online Boutique.  All of the December products can be found by clicking on the widget below.

My Favorite Things–MFT & Friends!

Hola chicas!

MFTandFriends

I’m popping in today to share another project for the MFT & Friends Creative Team Challenge, featuring more of the products from this month’s release!  I had so much fun playing with the Captivating Mandala Die-Namics, that I just HAD to make another project with it!

KKL_AUG0718-NPL

This was really fun to create.  I die cut the Captivating Mandala Die-Namics three times from white card stock, and a fourth time from an ink blended Smooth White panel.  I adhered the layers together with liquid glue to create a dimensional die cut.  I adhered it to a Black Licorice image panel that I die cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-Namics. I die cut the Simply Hello & I Love You Die-Namics three times from Smooth White Card Stock, and layered the die cuts together with liquid glue.  I adhered the stacked die cut to the image panel using more liquid adhesive.  I adhered the entire image panel to a Smooth White card base, and embellished it with some Sparkling Clear Sequins.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to all of the other fabulous projects created by my teammates, as well as a few of our friends, using this month’s release!  Lots of crafty goodness will be shared for your inspiration!

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’m still in AZ, and will be laying out at the pool catching some rays!  I hope that you’re enjoying a beautiful sunny day and that you’ll come by to visit me again real soon!

My Favorite Things–February Release Replay!

Well hello!

Print

I’m back from Vegas with my girlies, and can report that we had an awesome time!  I’m too pooped to peep, but wanted to pop in quickly to share my project for this month’s Release Replay Challenge!

KKL_FEB1218-Release-Replay

So I found this amazing iTunes gift card at Target and knew that I wanted to make it the focal point of a card using the new Gift Card Window & Frame Die-Namics.  I think you all know how hard it is to make a masculine card.  Those men in our lives don’t like a lot of frills and fuss.  So what better way to accomplish a no-frills card than to just make the gift card the star of the show?! Am I right?!  I used the Blueprints 30 to create the card front, the Gift Card Window & Frame to make the opening for the gift card and Gift Card Pouch.  I die cut the card front twice from Smooth White Card Stock, and die cut the Essential Sentiment Rip Strip from the flap to provide ease in removing the gift card without destroying the card.  I used the Interactive Labels Stamp Set to label the rip strip.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fresh takes that my teammates have created using this month’s new release products!  I know you’ll be amazed!!

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’ll be getting the skunk on my head covered up today and then back to my craft room I’ll go to get more projects completed!!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I sure do appreciate it!  I’ll be back very soon with more crafty goodness!!

My Favorite Things–Release Replay!

Hola!

I’m popping in again today to share another project featuring a few of the January Release products that I didn’t get to use during the release countdown!  Today’s project features the new Monster Sized Stamp Set, as well as the new Hearts In A Row Horizontal Die-Namics.  I paired them to create a fun little slider card!

KKL_JAN1518-Release-Replay

You all know how much I love an interactive card!  The surprise of the recipient just makes my day!  Here’s what the card looks like when you pull that little tab on the right!

KKL_JAN1518-Release-Replay-Open

And a quick little video showing the pull tab in action.

Cute, right?!!  I did a little bit of creative stamping by making the hearts from the Hearts In A Row Horizontal Die-Namics the middle of the bodies of those two adorable monsters from the Monster Sized Stamp Set.  I created the slider using the Channel Builder Die-Namics.  And the sentiment, also from the Monster Sized Stamp Set, was created by doing a bit of stamp surgery.  You all know that it’s okay to cut your stamps apart, right?!  It really helps stretch the uses of those stamps and allows for some fun stamp combos in places that a sentiment might not normally fit!  Once cut (as long as you’re careful), the stamps will still work perfectly – I promise!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I am ever so grateful for the time that you spend visiting my blog!  I’ll be back very soon with more crafty goodness.  I hope you’ll come by again soon!

My Favorite Things -- Release Replay!!

Hello friends!

Print

The My Favorite Things Design Team is taking a fresh look at the December Release and coming up with more craft inspiration for you all!!  My project features the new Painted Flowers Stamp Set.  I am sooo in love with the beautiful multi-step flowers that are included in this stamp set!  You can stamp as many or as few layers of the images that you like, and get a different result every single time – which is sooo fun!

KKL_DEC1117-Release-Replay

I stamped out three of the flower images from the Painted Flowers Stamp Set using two of the four layer images.  With the notched edge on the stamps and coordinating dies, it’s SUPER easy to align the layers and figure out how the dies fit!  I just love that about the Smart Align feature of these stamps and dies!  Another fun thing that I did to create this card is I die cut the curved stitched edge of the Smooth White image panel using the Stitched Basic Edges Die-Namics, and then I die cut another piece of Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Scallop Edges Die-Namics, leaving a pretty narrow margin above the scalloped edge with my trimmer.  I then used my scissors to snip the straight edge of the die cut at the tips of each scallop.  This allows the strip to be curved to fit the curve of the image panel.  I adhered the scalloped strip to the curved edge of the image panel with some Scor-Tape.  I love the softness that the scalloped edge adds to those ethereal flowers.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

My Favorite Things–Release Replay!

Hello my friends!!

Print

I’m popping in quickly to share another project featuring some of the November Release products for the Release Replay Challenge!

KKL_NOV1317-Release-Replay

I had to slide one more holiday card into my stash before we move on to Valentine’s Day cards!  LOL  It features the new Let It Snowflake Too Die-Namics, and I paired it with the Let It Snowflake Die-Namics from last year’s holiday release.  I adhered the white snowflakes (die cut from Smooth White Card Stock) onto a Sno Cone card base with a Quickie Glue Pen.  I die cut a vellum panel using the scalloped rectangle from the Blueprints 27 Die-Namics, and die cut the new Peace Die-Namics from the center of the panel.  I adhered it to the card base with foam squares.  I die cut a stitched frame from more Sno Cone Card Stock using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-Namics, and adhered that to the vellum panel with more foam squares.  I layered three of the snowflakes together with Multi Medium Matte and adhered that to the lower left hand corner of the frame.  A pearl from my stash finished off the center of the snowflakes.

My Favorite Things–Release Replay!

Hello, my loves!

Print

Now that the My Favorite Things September Release products have gone live, it’s time for the Creative Team to share new and fresh takes on the new products!!  I had fun creating another project using the Pop-Up Alphabet Die-Namics and pairing them with the Wild Woodland Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

KKL_SEP1117-Release-Replay

I created an asymmetrical gate fold hybrid card.  I used the Pop-Up Alphabet Die-Namics as a closure mechanism for the upper flap of the card!  I scored a 4.25” x 11” card base at 2” and 7” and folded on the score lines.  I did some masked ink blending to create the grass and the sky.  When I die cut the Pop-Up Alphabet Die-Namics on the lower flap of the card base, the letters remain attached to the card because the bottom edge of the dies is scored!  It’s such a cool and innovative concept, and I think has a TON of fun applications!  Anyways, once I pulled those die cut letters away slightly, the top flap of the card slides right in behind them!  I stamped, colored and die cut the images from the Wild Woodland Stamp Set, and adhered them to the card base with foam squares.  The sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of Smooth White Card Stock using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and die cut using the Fishtail Flag Frames Die-Namics, and then popped it up with foam squares and adhered it just below the pop up letters.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below. And here’s a close-up of the opened card:
