My Favorite Things - November Release Countdown Day 3 - Winter Wreath Thanks!

Hello my loves!

We're halfway through the countdown to the November Release! Today's project features the new Winter Wreath Stamp Set and coordinating Winter Wreath Die-Namics, as well as some of the branch images from the Winter Songbird Stamp Set. Both of these new sets coordinate beautifully, and have a lovely rustic feel that fit multiple occasions.

Okay, I channeled my inner Yana Smakula and was inspired (who isn't inspired by Yana's brilliance?!) to pull out my colored pencils that have been so unloved for far too long! I was inspired to create a woodsy, rustic thank you card. I stamped the images from the Winter Wreath Stamp Set and the Winter Songbird Stamp Set onto Kraft cardstock using white pigment ink and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I chose an autumn color palette and used my colored pencils to fill in each of the images. I then die cut the images using the coordinating Winter Wreath and Winter Songbird Die-Namics. I stamped the Wood Plank Background Stamp onto another panel of Kraft card stock and trimmed it to 4" x 5.25". I used the Impressive Thank You Die-Namics to hot foil the sentiment onto the image panel using some orange hot foil and my Gemini Foil Press Machine. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than a bold foiled focal sentiment. I used the wreath and branch die cuts to accent the sentiment, and then adhered the image panel to a Kraft card base using foam squares. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below (although the links to the new products won't be live until the release.)

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other astounding projects that my amazing teammates have created for you using more of today's featured products! And while you're there, be sure and leave a comment for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! There will be a winner randomly chosen for each countdown day! But you can't win if you don't comment! All of the November Release products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM EST!

That'll do it for me today, friends! I'll be back soon with more crafty deliciousness to share with you! Until then, thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!

My Favorite Things - October Vault Countdown Day 1!

Hello everyone!

We're counting down to the October Vault Release, and today is the final day of sneak peeks before the MFT Vault is open for you to purchase this month's amazing products! My project features the Wood Plank Background Stamp, and the Falling Leaves Die-Namics.

I'm thrilled that the Wood Plank Background Stamp was brought back! I love a great woodgrain background stamp, and this one fits the bill perfectly! I stamped it onto a Milk Chocolate card base using embossing ink. For the image panel, I used the Falling Leaves Die-Namics to emboss the amazing detail of each die into the panel using an embossing mat and my die cutting machine. I just love the incredible texture that this type of technique adds to a project! I ink blended some Orange Zest and Lemon Drop Dye Ink onto a Smooth White panel and then I die cut the Thank You Die-Namics from that panel. I die cut the Thank You Outline Die-Namics from some translucent vellum and adhered the three die cuts together with my glue pen. I adhered the embossed image panel and the assembled word die cut to the card base using foam squares and bits of foam tape. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below (although the links to the vault products won't be live until the release.)

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the tremendous projects that my sweet teammates have created for your inspiration using today's featured Vault products! And while you're there, be sure and leave a comment for your chance to win a $25 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you can't win if you don't comment! All of the October Vault products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM EDT!

That's it for me today, friends! I'll be back again tomorrow with another fun project for the October Vault Release! Until then, I hope you have a lovely day and that you're staying safe and well!

My Favorite Things - Today's the DAY to get the November Release Products!

Hello all!

Today's the day, friends!!  The day has finally arrived for you to get your inky little hands on all of the November release products!!  But before you go shopping, I have one more project to share using the new Fantasy Florals Stamp Set and the coordinating Fantasy Florals Die-Namics.  The main image is stunningly beautiful, and I wanted to do a partial die cut as a fun technique using the largest of the floral clusters from the set.

I used the domed fishtail flag die from the Tag Builder Blueprints 7 Die-Namics and executed a double partial die cut of the Fantasy Floral Stamp Set image and the domed fishtail flag die.  I colored the image using some unusual colors, but in the end I was pretty happy with how this turned out.  I stamped the sentiment from the previously released Bitty Thanks & Gratitude Stamp Set.  I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other super amazing projects that my teammates and some of our friends have created for your inspiration!  While you're there, be sure and comment on each of the hop blogs for your chance to win one of TWO $100 Gift Vouchers to the MFT Online Boutique!  It's a random draw, but you can't win if you don't comment on the right blogs!  All of the November Release products are available for purchase now and can be found by clicking on the graphic below.

That'll do it for me today, folks!  I'll be back soon with more crafty stuff to share.  Until then, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Well hello once again!

Well you all knew I had to use that Stitch-Able Falling Stars Die-namics - and I had to figure out a way to create a rainbow with them, too!  A needle and some embroidery thread and I am golden!  These dies are super fun, easy to use, and I can think of a dozen different ways to use those stitchable lines!  So you know you'll be seeing these again, and often!  I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Bitty Thanks & Gratitude Stamp Set onto some Black Licorice Card Stock using VersaMark Ink and I heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.  Then I die cut it using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strip Die-namics and adhered with some foam squares.  Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!!  I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below (although the new product links won't be live until the release!)

My Favorite Things - June Release Countdown Day 1!

Hello again!

I'm popping in again today to share one last countdown project before the June Release goes live!  Today's project features the "Free with $75 Purchase" stamp set called Sea Life. The darling sea creatures in this set are super versatile and can be paired with other stamp sets in the MFT underwater collection!

I wanted to keep it clean and simple, and fell in love with the whale image in the Sea Life Stamp Set.  I created a porthole using the Stitched Circle Frame Die-Namics and added some brads for detail.  I stamped the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Background onto some Gravel Gray Card Stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and then stamped the whale image from the Sea Life Stamp Set using Black Licorice Dye Ink.  I fussy cut the image out, and adhered it to to the card base.  I stamped the waves using Lush Lagoon Dye Ink, and the sentiment is from the Friends With Fins Stamp Set.  I've listed and linked the other MFT Products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects created by my teammates using today's featured products!  While you're there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique.  It's a random draw, so everyone has a chance to win, as long as you leave a comment.  All of the June Release products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM EDT!

I am soooo excited to be sharing another fun project featuring this month’s card kit – Good Time to Wine!  When I tell you that this kit is so fun to play with, I’m not lying!!  It’s about as all occasion a kit as you’re ever going to find!  It’s fun, it’s clever, and it represents the epitome of celebrating life!  What more could you want from a card kit?!  I made another shaker card, and I’m actually pretty excited about this one.

KKL_DEC1817-Card-Kit-Release

Okay, the way the products from this kit are designed, shaker cards are a BREEZE!  I was inspired by the sentiment “Thank you from the bottom of my glass” to make this one, and it came together lickity split.  The Wine Glass Shaker Window & Frame Die-Namics are beyond easy to use, and the Good Time to Wine Stamp Set includes just about every fun and celebratory occasion that you can think of.  I envision using the products from this kit often, and I can’t wait to see what you all create with it!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects either featuring this month’s card kit or some of the other mid-month release products!  The card kit, and all of the mid-month release products are now available for purchase and can be found by clicking on the graphic below.  Now hurry up, as I suspect these products are going to FLY off the shelves!

My Favorite Things–August New Product Launch!

Well, hello!!

Print

The time has finally come for the August New Product Launch!!  Are you as excited as I am?!!  I have one more project to share with you!!  It features the new Captivating Mandala Die-Namics and the From All of Us Stamp Set.

KKL_AUG0718-NPL-(2)

The new Captivating Mandala products (Captivating Mandala Die-Namics, Captivating Mandala Stencil, and Captivating Mandala Background Stamp) just turn my crank!!  Their delicate, mystical aura speak to me, and they really are super versatile, as they work great as a focal image, background, or as a means to accent other images.  In my project here, I used the Captivating Mandala Die-Namics die cut from Black Licorice card stock as the focal point of my card.  I blended some distress inks onto the card base and used the Captivating Mandala Die-Namics again to die cut the image from the center of a Smooth White image panel.  I adhered a piece of acetate behind the aperture, and adhered the black die cut to the acetate with some liquid adhesive.  I adhered the image panel to the card base using foam squares.  I stamped the sentiment from the From All of Us Stamp Set onto an ink blended scrap using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and die cut it using the Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-Namics.  I layered it onto another slanted sentiment strip that I die cut from some Black & White Striped Pattern Paper, and adhered the stacked sentiment to the image panel using more foam squares.  I adhered some black jewels as embellishments to the image panel, which I think really accentuate the focal image.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.  And all of this month’s new products can be purchased now by clicking on the graphic below.

My Favorite Things–Wednesday Sketch #396!!

Well, hello again!!

MFT_SketchChallenge_2017Logo

I’m popping in today to share a project that was inspired by this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  It’s a goodie, and open to lots of creative interpretation!  Here’s the sketch:

MFT_WSC_396

And here’s my “creative interpretation” of the sketch:

KKL_WSC396-8-1-18

I was also inspired by some delicious alcohol ink color combos and blending by the amazing Laurie Willison.  Aren’t those the most beautiful colors?  I smeared the alcohol inks (Raspberry, Flamingo, Sunset Orange, Sunshine Yellow, Limeade, and Patina) onto some Yupo paper with an ink blending tool and trimmed the panel to fit the sketch.  The sentiment was created using the Twice the Thanks Die-Namics and the Kind Thanks Stamp Set – two of my faves!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the other spectacular projects that my teammates have created for you using this week’s sketch!  While you’re there, be sure and link up your own creative interpretation of the sketch for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique!  It’s a random draw, so you have nothing to lose!

Thanks so much for stopping by today – it’s always a special treat for me when you do!  I’ll be back tomorrow as the Countdown to the August release starts then!  I hope you’ll come back again to check it out!

My Favorite Things–MFT & Friends!

Hello again!

MFTandFriends

I’m taking a brief respite from my craft room craze to share another project using one of the new May Release products!  This time, I’m featuring the new Aussie Animals Stamp Set to create a fun thank you card.

KKL_MAY1518-MFT-&-Friends

I stamped the kangaroo from the new Aussie Animals Stamp Set onto some Copic-friendly white card stock using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.  I colored him with Copic markers.  I stamped him a second time onto some masking paper, trimmed out the mask, and covered the colored image.  I then lightly blended some Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron Distress Inks in the background.  I also stamped the grass image, and then removed the mask.  I used the Big Thanks Die-Namic to die cut the word Thank – I used the partial die cutting technique to keep from cutting the S in Thanks.  I die cut the image panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 1 Die-Namics.  I removed the die cut letters and wrapped some jute twine around the bottom portion of the image panel.  Then I adhered the image panel to the Kraft A2 card base using foam squares.  I placed the die cut letters back into place using tiny bits of foam tape.  I did a bit of surgery on the sentiment from the Aussie Animals Stamp Set, and stamped the word “Roo” onto some Kraft card stock with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and die cut it using the tiny flag die from the Blueprints 31 Die-Namics.  I adhered it to the image panel using more tiny bits of foam tape.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other MFT & Friends projects that my teammates, and some of MFT’s friends, have created for your inspiration using this month’s release!  If you’re not inspired, I’ll eat my hat!  LOL

That’s it for me today!  I’m headed back to my craft cave as I have a boatload of projects to complete!  Thanks so much for stopping by today – it warms the cockles of my heart when you do!  I’ll be back again soon with more crafty goodness!!

My Favorite Things–May Release Countdown Day 4!

Hello again!!

Print

I’m back again today with another super fun project featuring more new products from the My Favorite Things May Release!  Today’s project features the new Hello, Little One Stamp Set and coordinating dies, as well as the new Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Background.

KKL_MAY0418-CD-Day-4

Now you all may or may not be aware that I have a new grandson.  Meet James Patrick Pavlish, born April 11, 2018 and weighed all of 5 lbs. 15 oz.  He was 17 days early and was sooo tiny.  But just a little sweetie pie!!  I recently purchased one of those HP Sprocket Printers – it prints out 2” x 3” photos, which was just what the doctor ordered for this project!  I figured my daughter could use some thank you notes for all of the kindnesses that their friends had bestowed upon them, so the Hello, Little One Stamp Set really came in handy!  I stamped the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Background Stamp onto some Sno Cone Card Stock using some Berrylicious Hybrid Ink.  I stamped the stork from the Hello, Little One Stamp Set onto some Stone Gray Card Stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I die cut him with the coordinating Hello, Little one Die-Namics.  I die cut the mini polaroid frame using the Precious Polaroids Die-Namics, and that little photo of sweet baby James fit inside the opening perfectly!  The sentiment from the Hello, Little One Stamp Set was stamped using VersaMark and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other May Release Countdown Day 4 projects from my teammates!  I’m sure they’ll wow you with their brilliance!  And while you’re there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher from the MFT Online Boutique.  The May Release will be available for purchase on Tuesday, May 8th at 9:00 PM PDT.

That’s it for me today!  I’ll be back tomorrow with another fun project featuring the May Release products!  I hope you’ll drop again very soon!  Have an awesome day!

My Favorite Things–Release Replay!

Hello, my loves!

Print

Now that the My Favorite Things September Release products have gone live, it’s time for the Creative Team to share new and fresh takes on the new products!!  I had fun creating another project using the Pop-Up Alphabet Die-Namics and pairing them with the Wild Woodland Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

KKL_SEP1117-Release-Replay

I created an asymmetrical gate fold hybrid card.  I used the Pop-Up Alphabet Die-Namics as a closure mechanism for the upper flap of the card!  I scored a 4.25” x 11” card base at 2” and 7” and folded on the score lines.  I did some masked ink blending to create the grass and the sky.  When I die cut the Pop-Up Alphabet Die-Namics on the lower flap of the card base, the letters remain attached to the card because the bottom edge of the dies is scored!  It’s such a cool and innovative concept, and I think has a TON of fun applications!  Anyways, once I pulled those die cut letters away slightly, the top flap of the card slides right in behind them!  I stamped, colored and die cut the images from the Wild Woodland Stamp Set, and adhered them to the card base with foam squares.  The sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of Smooth White Card Stock using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and die cut using the Fishtail Flag Frames Die-Namics, and then popped it up with foam squares and adhered it just below the pop up letters.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below. And here’s a close-up of the opened card:

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other Release Replay projects from the rest of the team!  This month’s release is so incredibly fun, I just know you’ll be amazed! And you can find all of the September Release products HERE at the MFT Online Boutique!
That’s it for me today!  I’m happily playing in my craft room trying to get some deadlines knocked out!  I hope you have some crafty plans in your future!  Thanks so much for stopping by – I’ll be back again soon with more crafty stuff to share!
