My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch #552: Treat Yourself!

Hello my loves!

I'm dropping by today to share a project that I created that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! I hadn't had a chance to play with this month's card kit that released yesterday, so this week's sketch was perfect for vehicle to use the kit! I used the new Celebrate You Stamp Set and the "Free With $60 Purchase" Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set to create my project! I also used the new Party Time 6 X 6 Paper Pad! Here's this week's sketch:

And here's my project that was inspired by this week's sketch:

I used the color palette from the Party Time 6 x 6 Paper Pad when I stamped the images from the Celebrate You Stamp Set. I die cut the frame using the A2 Rectangle Frames Die-Namics. The two sentiments were stamped onto some Summer Splash and Fire Coral Cardstocks, and die cut them using the Itty Bitty Strips Die-Namics. All of the MFT products that I used are linked below! My Favorite Things - July Release Countdown Day 2: Happy Birthday Watercolor Wash!

Hello again!

As promised, I'm back again today with another super fun project featuring the new Happy Birthday Die-Namics, and I paired it with the new Watercolor Wash Free Form Stencil! I am truly loving these new Watercolor Wash Stencils, but my fave is definitely the Free Form Stencil. And the Happy Birthday Die-Namics are perfect for a very clean and simple design! I also used the new A2 Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics to add that awesome stitched detail to the outside edge of the main panel. Look Ma! No Stamping!

I die cut four layers of the Happy Birthday Die-Namics from Black Licorice Card Stock and adhered the layers together with my liquid glue pen. Then I die cut the shadow (included in the set) from some Vellum and adhered the layered die cut on top of that. I adhered the assembled die cut to the ink blended panel that I created using the Watercolor Wash Free Form Stencil - I blended some Poppin' Pink, Lemon Drop, and Summer Splash and overlapped the colors to create the other colors in the rainbow spectrum! This could not be EASIER yet so fun and bold! The perfect watercolor background without the water! My Favorite Things - Another Interactive Card and Process Video!

Hello kids!

I'm stopping by quickly this morning to let you know that I created a new interactive project and filmed the process for the MFT YouTube Channel! I knew when I saw the Fast-Track Friends Stamp Set that I needed to make that bunny speedster move! And with the Slimline Starter Set Die-Namics, making a slimline-sized double loop slider card is a breeze!

My Favorite Things - February Release Countdown Day 2: We're Almost To the Finish Line!

Hello again!

We've just got a few more sleeps before the February Release will be available for purchase! Until then, we have more projects to share with you! Today's project features the new Fast -Track Friends Stamp Set and coordinating dies, as well as the new Fast Track Die-Namics! My youngest grandson has a birthday coming up, and he loves race cars, so I just HAD to make him a birthday card!

The new Fast-Track Friends Stamp Set is one of the CUTEST stamp sets I've seen in a long, long time! And the Fast Track Die-Namics (the curvy road in the background) is the perfect accessory! I also used three of the newly released cardstocks and dye inks - and let me just tell you, they are DELICIOUS! I stamped die cut and colored the image from the Fast-Track Friends Stamp Set. Isn't he so stinkin' cute? I die cut the Fast Track Die-Namics three times - once from white card stock, once from Eiffel Tower Card Stock, and once from Butterscotch Card Stock and adhered it together for my main image panel I die cut a stitched rectangle using the Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics, and ink blended some sunshine and clouds! I die cut the road on the image panel using the Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics, once from the panel, and once from Eiffel Tower Card Stock. I adhered the rounded road to the image panel, and then adhered some extra Butterscotch road lines. I added some Petite Clouds for detail! The sentiment from the Fast-Track Friends Stamp Set was stamped using the Eiffel Tower Dye Ink (these new inks are A-MAZING! They stamp and ink blend like a DREAM!) and die cut using the Boxed-In Banners Die-Namics and adhered with foam squares! The image panel was adhered to an A2 top-folding Fire Coral card base! My Favorite Things - February Release Countdown Day 3: More Sneak Peeks!

Hello again, friends!

I'm back again today with another Countdown project featuring one of the new products from the February Release! Today's project features the single sentiment Happiest Birthday Stamp Set! It's a wonderful size to create a foal point, and then I simply layered some stencils on top for an emboss resist!

 First, I stamped the Happiest Birthday Stamp Set onto a white panel using embossing ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then used the Big Balloon Stencil to in blend the balloon using Razzle Berry, Lemon Drop, and Summer Splash Dye Inks. Then I temporarily adhered the negative of the Big Balloon Stencil and layered the Sprinkles Stencil on top of that and ink blended the sprinkles using the same inks! I die cut the scalloped panel using the Blueprints 27 Die-Namics and some vellum, and layered that behind the image panel. I adhered that to an A2 top folding Summer Splash card base! Added a few sparkling clear sequins, and away we go! I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below (although the new product links won't be live until the release!)

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #526: Lots of Balloons!

Hello my friends!

 

I'm popping in quickly to share a project that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! This week's sketch has a lot of floating elements, so I immediately thought of balloons! The recently re-released Balloon STAX Die-Namics were perfect for what I had in mind! I also loved the idea of the balloons being somewhat transparent, so I die cut them out of some colored vellum that I had in my stash! I used the new Boxed-In Banners Die-Namics (from this month's Friendship Card Kit) to frame out the sentiment, and the sentiment is from the Sweet Birthday Wishes Stamp Set!

I am in love with that new Boxed-In Banner Die for a sentiment banner! I love that you can set it off with another color! I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

My Favorite Things - January Release Countdown Day 2: How About Some Magical Sneak Peeks?

Hello again!

I've got another day of fun sneak peeks of the January Release products, and today's featured products are too cute for words!  My project features the new Pretty Princess Stamp Set, Pretty Princess Die-Namics, and the Heart Extraordinaire Stencil! I love the "Extraorinaire" line of stencils because you can use both pieces to mask. I did a reverse mask and blended ink around the heart shape, rather than blending the ink into the shape!

Isn't she so precious?! I added some sparkle spray on top of the blended ink to create my own iridescent background, and I added some glitter to her wings, and I added some sparkly stars for accent! I'm back today with another project using some of today's featured new products! The Heart Air Balloon Die-Namics are so stinkin' fun to create with! The color combos are limitless! The Bitty Banner Alphabet Die-Namics are perfect for personalizing projects, and I used the heart from the Slimline Slide In Die-Namics and the heart from the Bitty Banner Alphabet Die-Namics to create some heart shaped clouds! And I stamped, colored and die cut one of the little girls from the Virtually the Best Stamp Set!

My Favorite Things - December Birthday Project!

Hello everyone!

It's time for this month's Birthday Project Challenge, and it's a brilliant and timely theme! This month, we are being challenged to create a birthday card for those multi-tasking peeps who happen to have a birthday in the winter or right around the holidays! And specifically, the challenge calls for creating a winter scene with a birthday theme! So, I pulled out the Winter Songbird Stamp Set and the Wonderful Woods Stamp Set, along with a few older products to create my project for the challenge!

I love those sweet birdies with their adorable winter attire - how funny would it be to see birds like that landing in your snowy yard?! It could happen - it's 2020, right?! Anywho, I stamped the tree image from the Wonderful Woods Stamp Set using white pigment ink, and then I heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I stamped the images from the Winter Songbird Stamp Set using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and then colored them with my Copics and die cut them with the Winter Songbird Die-Namics. The sentiment is stamped onto one of the snow drifts that I created using the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-Namics. I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below.

My Favorite Things - August Birthday Project Challenge!

 Hello again!

It's time for this month's Birthday Project Challenge, which is to add an interactive element to a birthday card! Well, I think you all know how much I love the Pear Blossom Press EZ-Lights because they are so stinkin' fun and absolutely "idiot proof!" Plus, who doesn't want to add that amazing WOW factor when the recipient presses the button to light up their card!

I created the dimensional cupcake using the Frosted Cupcake Die-Namics. I die cut the candle through the white scalloped panel, as well as the striped panel, so that I could hide the mechanics of the EZ-Lights behind the scenes. The sentiment is from the All the Cupcakes Stamp Set! I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

My Favorite Things - July Birthday Project Challenge!!

I'm so happy to be popping in today to share a project inspired by this month's Birthday Project Challenge - which is to elevate our gift card giving game! I was super excited about this challenge, because it gave me an opportunity to create a fun interactive card that includes a fun double surprise!  It features the Frosted Cupcake Die-Namics and the sentiment is from the All the Cupcakes Stamp Set!  Here's what the card looks like before I tug on the pulltab:

How fun is that?! It's a super easy and different way of using the Double Slider Loop mechanism. And I'm happy to report that I filmed a video showing you how I created this card! My Favorite Things - July Release Countdown Day 1 - It's Almost Time!

Hello again!

I'm back once again to share one more July Release Countdown project, featuring more of the July Release products that will be available for purchase tomorrow! Woohoo! Get excited!!  Today's project features a super cute doodled floral set that is so fun to color called Fun Flowers! And you all know that I'm not much of a colorer.  But I found a new medium (to me) that I think I'm going to like playing around with! I used my new Karin Pro Markers on these flowers to create a faux-watercolor look, after stamping them with black pigment ink onto watercolor paper, heat embossing them with clear embossing powder, and die cutting them the coordinating Fun Flowers Die-Namics!

I added some foil details by impressing the Birthday Wishes Hot Foil Die onto a Smooth White panel, and then die cut it using Blueprints 33 Die-Namics. I die cut some leaves from Smooth White and Black Licorice Card Stock using the Grande Greenery Outlines Die-Namics. I paired the cupcake with some fun patterned papers from the Positively Peppy 6 x 6 Paper Pack, and I added a sentiment from the previously released Sugar-Coated Sentiments. We're half way to the big July Release Day, so I have another fun project featuring more of the release products! Today's project features the Best Friends In the Universe Stamp Set and the Blast Off Die-Namics!

Okay, so this was so much fun to make! That space rocket is a "blast" to create! The color combos are endless, and the backgrounds can be simple or elaborate! I stamped, and die cut that little kitten peeking out of the space rocket window from the Up In the Air Stamp Set.
