My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #525: Spread Kindness!

NOTE: If you're looking for my Erin Lee Creative January Release post, please click HERE.

Hello friends!

I'm popping in to share a project that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! It's a super graphic sketch, which is always a fun challenge for me! It took me a bit of time (and a little bit of help from a friend), but I finally settled on creating a very graphic rainbow using the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-Namics! And one of the sentiments from the Good Vibes Stamp Set fit perfectly inside the cloud! Here's the sketch:

And this is the design that I came up with!

Once I settled on a concept, this came together super quickly! I love that the whimsical font of the sentiment is a perfect contrast to the graphic, edgy rainbow! And, of course, I had to add some Sparkling Clear Sequins for a little bit of bling! I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below!

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects that my fellow teammates created for you! And while you're there, why not link up your own interpretation of this week's Sketch Challenge for a chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you can't win if you don't play along!

That's it for me today, kids! I'll be back again on Friday with another crafty project! Until then, please have an amazing day, and take care of yourselves!

Erin Lee Creative Guest Design - January Release Blog Hop!

Hello everyone!

If you're new to my blog, welcome! I'm so excited to be sharing a super fun project that I created using an amazing new die from Erin Lee Creative! Erin has very graciously included me in this month's January Release Blog Hop, and to say that I am humbled is an understatement. In case you didn't know, I loves me some Erin Lee Creative! Hang in there with me until the end of this post, as I will be sharing some very important PRIZE information. The Jumbo Skinny Rainbow Die is my favorite product from this release, and it just spoke to me, so I had to create something with it!

How amazing is that rainbow?! I die cut it from several shades of red and aqua card stock, and I also included some of Erin's Holographic card stock that is mind blowingly gorgeous! I love the little bit of shine that it adds to my rainbow! I trimmed away a portion of the rainbow to create a spot for the sentiment, which is from the previously released Smiley Floral Stamp Set (which just ONE of the amazing products included in the Peace, Love & Happiness Kit). I added some Sparkling Clear Sequins for embellishments. Here's a pic of all of the new January Release products!

Okay, so there are several stops along the Hop! And in order to be eligible to win one of TWO $50 Gift Vouchers to the Erin Lee Creative Shop, you need to make a quick stop and comment at each of the linked blogs below. Two random winners will be chosen from the comments!

Here is the official line up!

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my project, and a big thanks to Erin Lee Creative for including me in this month's release blog hop! I'll be back in a few hours with another crafty project! So until then, have a wonderful day and please stay well!

My Favorite Things - Miss Your Hugs Card Kit Release!

Hello again!

Today is the day that all of the goodies contained in the Miss Your Hugs Card Kit are finally available for purchase! But before you go shopping, please take a minute to check out my project for today's post! It features two of the components from the Miss Your Hugs Card Kit - the Happy Rainbows Die-Namics and the Long Distance Hugs Friendship Tokens!

I once again stayed true to my clean and simple nature. I die cut the largest of the Happy Rainbows Die-Namics from several colors of cardstock, including some gold glitter card stock. I punched a hole at the end of the orange vein of the rainbow using a 1/8" hole punch. Once I adhered all of the rainbow pieces to the image panel, I punched another 1/8" hole in one of the Long Distance Hugs Friendship Token and tied it to the rainbow using some black and white twine. Each kit will include a package of the Long Distance Hugs Friendship Tokens, and you can purchase additional packages if you need more! The clouds were created using the previously released Cute Cloud Outlines Die-Namics. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other outstanding projects that my fellow teammates have created using the Miss Your Hugs Card Kit! And while you're there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It''s a random draw, but you can't win if you don't comment on each of the linked blogs! The Miss Your Hugs Card Kit is available for purchase now and can be found by clicking on the graphic below.

That'll do it for me today, friends! I'll be back very soon with more crafty stuff! Until then, I hope you have an amazing day and that you are well!

My Favorite Things - Miss Your Hugs Card Kit Day 1: Last Day of Sneaks!

Hello friends!

Today is the final day of the Miss Your Hugs Card Kit sneak peeks! I've got a super fun project to share with you that uses the I Miss Your Hugs Stamp Set and the "Free With $60 Purchase" Love Speech Bubbles Die-Namics from this months kit!

First of all, I wanted a very clean and simple design, because I feel that CAS suits this kit so well! From the I Miss Your Hugs Stamp Set, I used the two layering stamps to create the world, stamping the continents with Limelight Dye Ink, and the oceans with Summer Splash Ink. I stamped the solid image (oceans) a second time using embossing ink, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to add some dimension. I stamped the sentiment from the I Miss Your Hugs Stamp Set using black pigment ink, and again heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. I used the Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil to create a blue shadow around the focal images and trimmed the panel to 3.75" x 5.0". I adhered a 5.5" x 4.25" piece of striped paper from the Christmas Cheer 6 x 6 Paper Pack to an A2 Summer Splash Card Base, and adhered the image panel to the card base with foam squares. I die cut one of the "Free With $60 Purchase" Love Speech Bubbles Die-Namics from Razzle Berry card stock and adhered it to the image panel with foam tape. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used, although the links to the card kit won't be live until the release tomorrow.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other tremendous projects that my fellow teammates have created using components from this month's card kit! And while you're there, be sure and leave a comment for your chance to win a $25 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you can't win if you don't comment! The Miss Your Hugs Card Kit will be available for purchase on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM EST!

That'll do it for me today, kids! I'll be back again tomorrow with another project using this month's card kit! Until then, please stay safe and have an amazing day!

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #483!

Hello again!

I'm popping in today to share a project that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  It's a lovely sketch, and lends itself perfectly to my favorite kind of design - clean and simple, with a little bit of graphic thrown in for good measure!  Here's this week's sketch:

And here's my interpretation of the sketch:

I used the Gift Tag Die-Namics to create the dome-shaped aperture from a 4" x 5.25" Smooth White panel.  I adhered some rainbow-order strips (colors listed below) that I created using the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-Namics onto the card base so that they aligned towards the left side of the aperture.  I die cut the Scripty Smile Die-Namics, three times from Smooth White and once from Black Licorice card stock, and I adhered the layers together with a glue pen.  I die cut some of the flowers, stems and leaves from Smooth White using the Stitched Garden Die-Namics.  I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the fabulous projects that my fellow teammates have created for this week's Sketch ChallengeAnd while you're there, why not link up your own take on this week's Sketch Challenge for a chance to win $50 MFT Bucks to be used at the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, so everyone that plays has a chance to win!

That'll do it for me today, folks!  I'll be back very soon with more crafty stuff.  Until then, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I'm back!

Today's sneak peek project features a bunch of the new March Release products! I used the Framed Die-Namics for the black frame and the "smile" die cuts, I used the Foiled Frames Hot Foil Dies to create a gold border on the Framed die cut (using my Gemini Jr. and Gemini Foil Press Machine), and I used the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-Namics for the focal image!

In addition to the new products, I used the previously released Smile Maker Stamp Set for the sentiment and the Skinny Strips Die-Namics to cut the sentiment out!  I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used (although the links to the new products won't be live until the release!)

My Favorite Things - December Birthday Project Challenge: CAS!

Hello again!

I'm back again today to share a super fun project fot this month's Birthday Project Challenge!  I channeled my inner Francine Vuilleme (she has mastered the most beautiful rainbow ink blending ever!) and created my project for this month's challenge - which is "clean and simple."

Its not exactly simple - but the white space and minimal elements help this meet the requirements of this month's challenge!!  It features the newly re-released Strike Up the Band Stamp Set, which contains some super cute musical bunnies and some perfectly suited sentiments!  I also used the Musical Notes Background to create my ink resisted background.  I added a strip of paper from the Black & White Stripes Paper Pack for some fun contrast, and the mounted the entire panel onto a Black Licorice card base.  I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration!  And while you're there, why not link up your own take on this month's Birthday Project Challenge for your chance to win a $50 Shopping Spree to the MFT Online Boutique!  It's a random draw, so you have nothing to lose - but you can't win, if you don't play along!

That's it for me today, my friends!  I'll be back again next week with more crafty stuff, but it'll be quiet around here until then.  In fact, hubby and I are winging our way to Seattle to spend the holidays with our kiddos as this goes live!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, and until next time, have an awesome day!

My Favorite Things - December Release Countdown Day 4!

Hello again!

I'm back again with another project featuring more of the December Release products!  Today's project features several - the Smile Maker Stamp Set, the Big Smile Die-Namics, and the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics.  I was immediately inspired to create a round card, and add a rainbow.  Because rainbows always make me smile.

Now, I'm not gonna lie - I struggle with making non-A2 shaped cards.  But this was absolutely the perfect time to step outside my comfort zone and just go for it today!  So I used the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics (I used the third from the largest in the set) to die cut a card base (I die cut it on a folded square card base and placed the die so as to leave a small crease at the top), and then another one to adhere to the front of the card to make it completely round and symmetrical.  I die cut the rainbow from glitter card stock (colors listed below) and adhered the different colors to some printer paper and trimmed it out with my scissors.  I die cut the cloud outlines from Smooth White Card Stock and adhered the outlines to some vellum.  I trimmed around the outside edge of the outlines to make the transparent clouds that I used at the base of the rainbow.  I die cut the Big Smile DieNamics from Smooth White Card Stock three times, and once from Black Licorice, and adhered the layers together with liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Smile Maker Stamp Set onto some Smooth White Card Stock with Black Licorice ink and die cut it using the Skinny Strips Die-Namics.  I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below (although the links to the new December products will not be live until the release!)

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other outstanding projects that my teammates have created for you! And while you''re there, be sure and leave some love along the way every day of the countdown for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! All of the December Release Products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM EST!

That's it for me today, friends!  I'll be back on Sunday with another December Release project, so I sure do hope you'll come back then to check it out! Have an awesome day!

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch #454!

Hello friends!

I'm popping in today to share my project for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  It is a super fun sketch, with lots of possibilities!  Here's the sketch:

And here's my interpretation of the sketch!

I used the largest of the banner dies from the Fishtail Flag Trio Die-Namics to die cut the rainbow strips from Razzle Berry, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Limelight, and Summer Splash card stocks.  I also dry embossed the upper white portion with the Radiating Rays Stencil - you can see the dimension a little closer by clicking on the image to make it bigger.  The sentiment strips was die cut from Black Licorice card stock using one of the dies from Blueprints 29.  The sentiment is from the Full of Sunshine Stamp Set and was stamped using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I die cut the Little Hello Die-Namics from vellum and Lemon Drop card stock, and adhered the two together with liquid adhesive.  I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other spectacular projects inspired by this week's sketch!  And while you're there, why not link up your own take on this week's sketch for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique!  You have until September 17th to link up your project!

That's it for me today, friends!  I'll be back again soon with more crafty goodness!  Thanks so much for stopping by today - it fills my heart with happy when you do! Have a great day!

My Favorite Things - August Release Countdown Day 4!

Hello again!

We're one day closer to this month's release, and I'm back today with another project!  This one features the new Rainbow Bright Die-Namics.  I paired it with a few previously released products.

It's definitely somewhat predictable.  But that's one of the things that I love about this die - it takes most of the guesswork out of creating a clean and simple card that carries and pretty big impact!  Especially when you use glitter card stock!!  The Rainbow Bright Die-Namics will be used often in my craft room - how about you?!!  I've listed and linked all of the MFT Products that I used below (although the links to the new products won't be live until the release.)

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other Countdown Day 4 projects from my amazing teammates! There's lots of fun stuff to share today!  While you're there, be sure and leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique.  It's a random draw - all you have to do is comment!  All of the August Release products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM EDT!

That's it for me today!  I'll be spending the day with one of my granddaughters, so we'll be doing girlie stuff for sure.  Thanks so much for spending part of your day here with me!  I hope you'll come back again tomorrow to check out my Countdown Day 3 project!  Have an awesome day!

My Favorite Things - July Release Countdown Day 2!

Hello again!

We are down to just two sleeps before the July Release Products will be available!  Are you getting excited?!!  Today's project features a few more super fun and versatile products that I think you all are going to love - the Magical Rainbow Die-Namics, the Rainbow Greetings Stamp Set, and the Cute Cloud Outlines Die-Namics!  Oh, and the Over the Rainbow 6 x 6 Paper Pad is new, too!

So, when I saw the new Magical Rainbow Die-Namics, I knew they'd work perfectly with the Peek-A-Boo Wheel Die-Namics!!  I die cut the wheel from Smooth White card stock, and ink blended it in an ombre rainbow pattern using Razzle Berry, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Limelight and Summer Splash Dye Ink.  I die cut two image panels using the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-Namics.  I positioned solid opening die from the Magical Rainbow Die-Namics onto the first panel, and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I aligned the two image panels, and used the aperture to align the wheel.  I then adhered it to the second image panel using a brad.  I used the arch of the rainbow aperture to hide the brad.  I die cut the Cute Cloud Outlines Die-Namics from Smooth White card stock and one of the striped patterns from the Over the Rainbow 6 x 6 Paper Pack, and adhered them to the image panel using foam squares.  I stamped the sentiment from the Rainbow Greetings Stamp Set onto some Black Licorice card stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I die cut the sentiment using the Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-Namics.  I temporarily disassembled the wheel panel, aligned the two panels, and used a circle die from the Circle STAX Set 1 Die-Namics to cut a notch from the right edge.  This will allow easy access to the Peek-A-Boo Wheel so that you can turn it to reveal all the different colors of the rainbow!  I assembled everything with foam squares, and added some clear drops for embellishments.  I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below (although the links for the July Release products won't be live until the release!)

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other outstanding projects that my teammates have created!  And while you're there, why not leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, but you can't win unless you comment!  All of the July Release Products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM EDT!

That's it for me today, friends!  We've got family in town from Texas, so we'll be having a little get together and dinner!  But I'll be back again tomorrow with another July Release project, so I sure hope you'll come by to check it out!  Have an awesome day!
