Runway Inspiration Challenge #49

Hi Stampy Friends!

I got my craft room reorganized and it felt so good that I decided to mess it all up again!  LOL  I need to remember that all it takes is to clean up my craft room to get a little bit of mojo flowing!!

RIC49

I’ve been meaning to play along with the Runway Inspired Challenge for some time now, but haven’t really been in a position to do much of anything crafty beyond my current DT work.  I’ve always admired the photos that are shared on the Runway Inspired Challenge – the designs are always so edgy and creative!  Here’s what I came up with for this week’s challenge (the above photo):

Dreaming Always of You RIC49

I think you all know by now that I am OBSESSED with cityscapes!  I recently saw a photo of a water colored cityscape (I think it was by Julie Ebersol, but I can’t for the life of me find that photo again!), and my mind just about exploded!  I was inspired by the colors in the inspiration photo – that sort of orange-ish red, the gorgeous turquoise, and the yummy brilliant yellow – what’s not to love, right?!  I die cut the cityscape from water color paper, and did some “artsy fartsy” water coloring using some Peerless water color papers and my water brush.  I then splattered it with a paintbrush and some black dye reinker.  Easy peasy!!  I’ve listed all of the products that I used below.  I look forward to playing along with the Runway Inspired Challenge again!!

That’s it for me, kids!  I’ll be back tomorrow with a pub card and some rejects!  Thanks so much for stopping by today – I truly appreciate it!!

Yowzers girlie...this is fabulous and TOTALLY artsy fartsy! The cityscape die absolutely begged for this treatment! The flat bottom line of the speech bubble and the black piece at the bottom of your card is brilliant - anchors the image beautifully.

I am so calling this Winner, Winner! Stunning creation my talented friend :)

Absolutely gorgeous. Didn't realize in the gallery photo that that was a cityscape. Great idea.
