Hello!
Popping in quickly before my day gets started to share one of the cards that I’ve created for the new Online Card Class that I’m taking at the moment. The focus of this class is Clean & Simple 3: One Layer Cards. I rarely do one layer cards. But I’m finding a love for them as I go through these lessons – so many fun and interesting techniques that make one layer cards just as fun to make as the ones with all the dimension and texture.
I should start by stating that apparently I’m not a one-layer “purist.” One layer to some means one layer. If you’re not a purist, like me, you don’t mind adding your main one layer panel to a card base. I’ve also added some additional dimension with enamel dots. I’m a rebel – what can I say?! LOL
This project was inspired by the technique shown by Debby Hughes called Inlaid Die Cutting. The idea is that you layer your die cuts to show “faux dimension” in a one-layer format. It took me a bit to get these just right, but I’m thrilled with the end results! There’s still time to take the class – it goes on for a total of three weeks! You can get more info by click on the widget on my upper right side bar.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’m off to shop with my girlie, and then headed back to my craft room to get some more homework done! Hope you have a lovely day planned!
