AEI♥U Challenge #7–Botanicals!

Hello my sweet stampy friends!!

It’s Friday, so that must mean it’s time for another Avery Elle AEI♥U Challenge!  Woot, woot!!

Challenge 7

Botanicals are a huge trend in stamping these days, and Avery Elle has some gorgeous stamp sets and dies that will make this challenge super easy!!  I’ve used quite a few of them in my sample, below:

Challenge 7 - Love

This came together very quickly!  I die cut some of the gorgeous flowers and leaves from two different sets – Petals & Stems and Laurels.  I stamped the coordinating images from both sets onto the die cuts in VersaMark, just to give them some subtle dimension and definition.  I then die cut the Love sentiment using the Simply Said: Love die.  I trimmed out a card base and splattered it with some Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Color Shine (channeling Debby Hughes), and wrapped some gold string around the top of the base.  I then adhered the sentiment and die cuts using clear glue and foam tape.  I feel like this is a modern take on those old fashioned botanical prints.  So fun!

We’d love to see what you would create in answer to our new challenge!  You can link up your project over at the Avery Elle AEI♥U Challenge Blog!  While you’re there, be sure and check out the loveliness that my sweet teamies have created for your viewing pleasure.  You’re going to be amazed!  You only have until Sunday, May 25th at 12:01 AM (PDT) to enter.  So get to work!!  LOL

That’s it for me today, friends.  I’m off to have some more blood work done (ugh!) and then cropping the day away with some of my most amazing crop buddies!  Can’t wait!  Then my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew will be here visiting for a few days, so things might be a little quiet around here.  I’ll try to pop in when I can.  I have some additional homework from the Online Card Class: Watercolor for Cardmakers class that I still need to share, and I’m waaaaayyyyy behind in my classwork – UGH!!  I’ll do what I can, but not holding my breath on that one.  Thanks so much for stopping by today – I so love it when you do!

Definitely fun & trendy! Love the look of the embossed flowers and LOVE the gold lame splatters, subtle prettiness! Snuggling the sentiment into the flowers looks great :)

Awesome card! I love the tone on tone stamping and the big sentiment. They look very cohesive.
