I know it’s no longer Cinco de Mayo, but I just had to share my amazing Spanish “skillz” with you all. LOL So I have some AMAZEBALLS news to share with you all!! I received an email from the phenomenally talented Jen Rzasa a few weeks ago, asking if I’d like to join the Runway Inspired Challenge team! My answer? “Ummmmm . . . DUH!” LOL I’ve always been a huge fan of the Runway Inspired Challenge – Jen’s uber cool fashion inspiration photos ALWAYS trigger my mojo. BONUS! So, to say that I’m thrilled that Jen invited me to join the team is an understatement. I hope that I don’t disappoint you or her. So let’s get started on my first official challenge as a team member, shall we?
Isn’t it amazing?!! I kind of think that I could almost wear this . . . maybe . . . if it weren’t green. Green is NOT my color! LOL Here’s my take on the shot:
I was inspired by the black lace insert in the front of the dress, and the angles of the straps. I had an old (verrrry old) Hero Arts lace background stamp that I stamped with black ink onto some green card stock. Then I die cut an angular panel (NOTE TO SELF: Don’t order dies that require you to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to use them!), stamped that AH-MAZING sentiment in black ink, and then ran that panel through my Big Shot with a linen impression plate. I adhered it to the card base with some foam tape, and added some blingy sequins to add to the celebration. I created this little ditty for my cropping buddy and sweet friend, Heather. Her birthday was last week. I’m sure you’re not surprised that I’m late. I suck. LOL
Okay, so now it’s your turn to play along! You should totally click on through to the Runway Inspired Challenge Blog to get all the details of the challenge. And while you’re there, be sure and peruse and drool over the creations that my new sweet teammates have created for your inspiration! There’s a super generous prize being awarded to the winner from our sponsor, Simon Says Stamps! What’cha waiting for?!!
That’s it for me today, friends. I’m off to the doctor for a little checkup (about five years past due – eeek!) Not looking forward to it, but I guess it’s time to put my big girl pants on – right?! Hope you have some funner (yes, that’s a word – LOL) plans in store for your day! LOL Thanks so much for stopping by!
