Hi Friends!!

Welcome to the Essentials by Ellen Blog Hop! We’re so excited to unveil a brand new line of high quality Clear Stamp Sets and Designer Dies, designed by Julie Ebersole exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC.  This collection reflects an eclectic mix of images, sentiments and art styles that are sure to appeal to a wide range of tastes!  Just in time for holiday crafting, the entire release is available now at Ellen Hutson LLC.  All Essentials by Ellen Stamp Sets and Dies arrive in our signature packaging with a durable clear envelope and a labeled card stock backer for convenient storage and organization.  Our die packaging also features an attached magnetic sheet, to ensure that even the smallest of your dies is stored securely!

The fun all starts at the CLASSroom, where there is a GIANT prize package being given away—be sure to leave a comment there by October 8th; winners will be announced October 9th!  In case you get lost along the way, here is the full list of hoppers!
HOPPERS:

I created some super fun projects with these new stamps and dies, and I can’t wait to share them with you!!
First up is a project I created using the Cozy Christmas stamp set and complementary Home & Hearth Dies.  I also did a short video on doing the Partial Die Cutting Technique to create your own DIY Border die cutWARNING:  This is only my second video that I’ve ever done in my life, and I have a long ways to go before I have this thing mastered.  So please, please be kind to me.  Here’s the project, and the video follows (the video only shows the partial die cut process, not the entire assembly of the card):
Cozy Christmas 2 WCMD 10-4-14

For my next project, I made some wine glass charms using some Shrink Plastic and the Twelve Days Stamp Set.  Oh my gosh, these were so fun to make!  I wanted them to have a little color, so I stamped them in Staz-On onto the Shrink Plastic, and then I colored the back of the images so that the Staz-On wouldn’t ruin my markers, before I applied heat to shrink them up.  So much fun!
12 Days Close Up WCMD 10-4-14
I created the box for the Wine Glass Charms using my Cameo.  The tag on the box features a sentiment and holly leaves from the Merry and Bright stamp set.  I thought this would be a super cute hostess gift for a holiday party!  Right?!
12 Days Wine Charms Complete WCMD 10-4-14

My next project features the Christmas Scribbles stamp set.  There are an awesome array of “scribbled” images and sentiments in this set.  I focused on the branch and the pine cones.  This project also features the Brush Stroke Peace Die and the Brushstroke Christmas stamp set.
Scribbles Christmas WCMD 10-4-14

The next project features the Brushstroke Love die, the Christmas Scribble stamp set, the Merry and Bright stamp set, and the Brushtroke Christmas stamp set (I did a bit of stamp surgery to create the sentiment – HA!)
Peace Brushstroke Die WCMD 10-4-14

My final project was created using the uber fun and clever Zipper Panel die!  It also features the Laurel die and the Prize Stag die, as well as one of the dies from the Merry and Bright die set.
Zipper Panel Die WCMD 10-4-14
Here’s what the inside looks like when you “zip” it open (PLEASE NOTE that I used another vendor’s die to create the slits for the “gift card”)!  This thing has so many POSSIBILITIES!!
Zipper Panel Die Inside WCMD 10-4-14

Okay, you all have been such troopers in sticking with me here, so I wanted to give something back!!  First of all, Ellen and Julie have very kindly offered up one of the stamp sets that I used in my projects.

This is such a cleaver idea. Love the video and glad that you shared with us, all of the cards are darling and you did a wonderful job with the new showcase of stamps and dies of Julie and Ellen.
I have 2 questions if you can answer them.
1. What kind of scissors are your little snip its, I love to fussy cut and little scissors are hard to find.
2. I have never seen the plate that you use for the cutting, the one with the curved plate.

Thanks for sharing]
