Avery Elle–Easter Blessings

GIVEAWAY ALERT:  If you’re looking for my Online Card Classes Giveaway, you can find it HERE.

Happy Friday, friends!!

I continue to attempt to catch up on my life since returning from Kansas.  I’m getting there, but still have a few things looming!  Ha!  But I wanted to pop in quickly to share a couple of projects that I created for one of the new Avery Elle stamp sets called Easter Blessings.

3-13-15 Easter Blessings

Have you all watched THIS video that Jennifer McGuire shared a while back?  This foil transfer thing is really fascinating to me!  I had a chance to play with it a bit in Kansas, so I wanted to see if I could try the same thing on this Easter Blessings image.  I’m not as happy with how it turned out as I would have liked.  But I think with practice it will get better.  Jennifer talks about five different ways to add foil to your projects – I used the stamped image technique.  And with this project I used the Rainbow transfer foil.  I also used the Pinked Elle-Ments to cut out the image panels on this project and the next one, and I used a notecard from the Caribbean Collection.

3-13-15 Easter Blessings Gold

Gold is such a hot trend these days, so I wanted to see how the gold would look.  I like it, but again I feel like it could be a little less “rustic.”  I’ll keep working on my technique and hopefully it’ll get better.  But I think both of these projects would be super fun Easter cards, and a true departure from the usual pastels.

That’s it for  me today, friends!  I’ll be back in a little bit to announce the winner of the giveaway that I had going on for the Spring Coffee Lover’s  Blog Hop!! I’m a bit late in announcing the winner . . . oops!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great weekend!!

Um...I wouldn't be setting aside too many hours 'to work on your technique' cuz these cards look AMAZING! I'd say you have the foil gig down pat! Love the colors that you used!
