My Favorite Things–Gift Giving Groove!

Hola peeps!!

It’s time for another Creative Challenge with the My Favorite Things Design Team!!  Here’s what we were challenged with:

Print
Get into the groove of creating gift card presentations worth getting excited about with this month’s challenge. Whether gifted in the form of a card or small box, the presentation of a gift card doesn’t have to be boring and our team is ready, willing, and able to inspire your next project. From specially designed Die-namics perfect for creating slots and grooves in your cards to 3 dimensional designs that will delight the recipient, you’ll find a bit of everything in this collection of inspired designs.

I LOVE creating Gift Card presentations, and this one was no exception.  I also love to use dies in an “out of the box” of way.  I thought it’d be fun to use the Picnic Basket Die-Namic to hide the gift card!  Here’s my project:

And here’s what it looks like when you pull on the acetate arrow:

How fun would this be to bring as a hostess gift to a friends’ BBQ or offer as a “Date Night” wedding gift?!  My girls’ favorite wedding gifts were gift cards for restaurants and venues where they’d have a chance to have date nights with their spouses.  I think this would certainly fit the bill!  Maybe a gift card to your favorite delicatessen so that the newlyweds can grab a bottle of wine and all the fixings for a romantic picnic?!!  Heck, I’d like that myself!!  LOL

I used the Gift Card Grooves Die-Namics to create a slot behind the picnic basket, and they layered everything on top of that.  The Sno Cone panel was stamped with the Polka Dot Background using the White Pigment Ink.  The grassy hills were created using the Stitched Snow Drifts, and the acetate arrow was created using one of the dies from the Blueprints 13 Die-Namics.  The sentiment is from the Delicious Birthday Stamp Set, stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  I’ve listed all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the My Favorite Things Blog to be linked up to the projects  that my other teammates have created!!  No doubt you’ll find some awesome ideas for gift card presentations for your future gift giving!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Please know that you all make my heart smile when you spend time here – it truly makes my day!!  I’m off to have lunch with my mom and my sister – I hope you have a great day, too!!

Such a cute creativity. Thanks for sharing the details. I am trying to find beautiful décor ideas for my daughter’s birthday bash. I will host her birthday party at one of popular event venues in Boston and want to give a nice surprise to her.
