Avery Elle–Winter 2016 Release Blog Hop–Wood You?

Hola!!

Have you been checking out the sneak peeks of the new Avery Elle products on the Design Blog?!!  OH EM GEE!!  Such cuteness and fun!!  Well, today’s the day, friends!!  The Avery Elle Winter Release is available NOW, and can be found HERE!

My project features the new Wood You? Stamp Set and coordinating dies, as well as the new Trees Dies!!  Here’s how I created my project:

1. Trim an A2, vertical top-folding card base from Solar White Card Stock.  Score at 5.5”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
2. Die cut an image panel from Solar White Card Stock using the Wonky Stitches Dies.  Lightly blend some Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks onto the image panel.  Adhere the image panel to the card base with foam squares.
3. Trim an A2 panel from embossed woodgrain card stock and die cut it using the Trees Dies.  Use the Wonky Stitches die to die cut the left edge of the tree die cut.  Use the heart from the Envie Elle-Ments Dies to die cut a heart from the tree die cut.  Adhere the tree to the image panel using foam squares.
4. Using the heart from the Envie Elle-Ments Dies again, die cut a heart from red card stock.  Stamp the sentiment from the Wood You? Stamp Set using Unicorn Pigment Ink, and heat emboss it with White Detail Embossing Powder.  Adhere the heart to the image panel with two layers of foam squares.
5. Stamp the beaver image from the Wood You? Stamp Set onto some Solar White Card Stock using New Moon Dye Ink.  Color the image with Copic Markers.  Die cut the image using the coordinating Wood You? Dies.  Using detail scissors, cut around the lines of the beaver’s hands.
6. Using one of the heart dies from the Sweet Scallops Dies, die cut a heart from some red and white polka dot paper.  Slide the heart die cut between the beaver’s hands and secure it in place with a glue dot.  Adhere the beaver to the image panel with foam squares.

How stinkin’ cute is that beaver (or is he a woodchuck?  What IS a woodchuck?!  LOL)?!!  I pretty much love him.  The rest of the team has created some amazing projects for your inspiration using the new release!  The list of hoppers is included below, along with the information you need to win an awesome prize while you hop!  I’ve listed the products that I used below!
