My Favorite Things – August Release Replay!

It’s time to take a second, fresh look at the August Release for My Favorite Things with the Release Replay Challenge!  The team is sharing more inspiration using the new products from the August Release, and here’s my project:

This features the new More Monsters Stamp Set.  These googly-eyed critters just crack me up – and creep me out all at the same time!  LOL  Here’s how I created my project:

1. Trim a 5.5” x 8.5” card base from Smooth White Card Stock.  Score at 4.25”, fold in half, and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
2. Adhere a 3” x 5” piece of black and white polka dot patterned paper (from the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots 6 x 6 Paper Pack) to a piece of Smooth White Card Stock with tape runner adhesive.  Die cut the Stitched Triple Peek-A-Boo Windows Die-Namics.  Die cut the top and bottom edges of the panel using the straight edge from the Stitched Basic Edges 2 Die-Namics.
3. Mask off the top and bottom edges of the card base with Post-It Masking Tape.  Temporarily position the polka dot panel onto the card base and mark the openings with a pencil.  Stamp the images from the More Monsters Stamp Set using Grape Jelly Dye Ink, Limelight Dye Ink, Orange Zest Dye Ink, and Black Licorice Dye Ink (eyes and mouths).  Carefully remove the masking tape.
4. Stamp the sentiment from the More Monsters Stamp Set onto the card base using Black Licorice Dye Ink.  Adhere the die cut polka dot panel onto the card base using foam squares.
5. Adhere multi-sized googly-eyes (I had these in my stash) to the card base using Multi Medium Matte.

How fun would this be to slip into your child’s lunch box, or send to a Halloween-loving friend?!!  I’m sure it’d bring a smile to anyone’s face!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.
