Hello – again!!
I know . . . it’s been kinda busy around here on the old bloggo! But I’ve really been having fun being creative! My crafty juices have been flowing, so I just HAD to play along with this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge with my My Favorite Things teammates! Here’s the sketch:
And here’s how it inspired me:
This is the second “Look Ma, no stamping” project that I’ve shared this week – pretty good, huh?!! LOL Here’s how I created the project:
- Trim a 4.25” x 11” card base from Smooth White Card Stock. Score at 5.5”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
- Trim a 3” x 5.5” piece of black and white striped paper (from the Rainbow Stripes 6 x 6 Paper Pack). Adhere it to the card base with tape runner adhesive.
- Trim a 3.5” x 5.5” image panel from Smooth White Card Stock. Adhere it to the right side of the card base with foam squares.
- Die cut the Happy Birthday Circle Frame Die-Namic from Smooth White Card Stock. Before removing the die cut from the negative, blend some Candied Apple, Mustard Seed and Salty Ocean Distress Inks with a Mini Ink Blending Tool to create a blended rainbow. Adhere the die cut to the image panel using foam squares.
- Die cut three balloons from Poppy Card Stock, Orange Zest Card Stock, and Sunshine Card Stock using the Birthday Balloons Die-Namics. Adhere the balloons to the die cut and card base with some foam squares. Adhere some crochet thread to each of the balloons, pull them together at the bottom, and adhere them to the image panel with some Multi Medium Matte adhesive.
- Adhere some Sparkling Clear Sequins to the image panel using some Multi Medium Matte.
Who doesn’t love a rainbow?!! I know I do!! I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below. Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the design team creations that were inspired by this week’s sketch challenge! While you’re there, be sure and link up your own sketch inspired project for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher from My Favorite Things!
That’s it for me today! I’m spending the day at the Spa with my girlies again today – we had so much fun last week, we decided to go back one last time before I head back to Seattle! It’s going to be HOT, but I’m so excited for some sunshine, yummy lunch and another delicious facial! Ahhhhh . . . I’m feeling relaxed just thinking about it! I hope you have some awesome plans in store for your day! I’ll be back again tomorrow with one more crafty project to share with you! I hope you’ll drop by then!
