Hello Again!!
We’re getting closer and closer to the August Release!! All new products will be released on Tuesday, August 8th at 9:00 PM EDT!! But before that can happen, my teammates and I have more projects to share with you!
The new Wild About You Stamp Set is just too cute for words!! I had a blast creating with it!! And the Essential Speech Bubbles Die-Namics (the new “Free with $60 Purchase” dies) are going to be my new go-to sentiment dies for all my fave cutie critters! Here’s how I created my project:
- Trim a 5.5” x 8.5” card base from Black Licorice Card Stock. Score at 4.25”, fold in half and perfect the crease with a Teflon Bone Folder.
- Trim a 4.25” x 5.5” panel from Smooth White Card Stock.
- Stamp the lion image from the Wild About You Stamp Set onto the image panel using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. Stamp the lion, zebra and giraffe images onto some Stamping Mask Paper, and carefully trim the images close to the image lines. Adhere the mask over the top of the lion. Position and stamp the giraffe image and zebra images using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. Adhere the masks to the images.
- With the image masks in place, mask off the lower portion of the image panel using Post-It Masking Tape. Using a Mini Ink Blending Tool, blend some Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks to create a beautiful sunset. Remove the masking tape, and mask off the sunset with another piece of Post-It Masking Tape. Lightly blend some Twisted Citron Distress Ink to create jungle grass. Carefully remove the masking tape and the image masks.
- Die cut the Essential Speech Bubbles Die-Namics from the image panel, where the sentiment will go. Temporarily position the image panel onto the card base and position the sentiment from the Wild About You Stamp Set inside the speech bubble aperture. Prep the area with a Powder Tool. Stamp the sentiment onto the card base using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. Heat emboss the sentiment using White Embossing Powder.
- Die cut the outside edge of the image panel using the stitched rectangle die from the Blueprints 24 Die-Namics. Adhere the image panel to the card base with foam squares.
- Die cut three hearts from Poppy Card Stock using the Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-Namics. Adhere the hearts to the image panel using foam squares. Coat the hearts with Glossy Accents and allow them to fully dry.
I’m so happy with how this turned out! I just love those sweet jungle critters from the Wild About You Stamp Set, and will be playing with them as often as I can! I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below. Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other Countdown Day 3 projects! Awesome stuff awaits you!
That’s it for me today! I’m enjoying the sunshine and pool time with friends while I’m here in AZ. I miss my crafty goodies, but I’ll get back to them when I get back to Seattle next week! Thanks so much for stopping by today – I sure hope you’ll come back soon for more crafty stuff! Have a great day!
