My Favorite Things – Countdown Day 2

Hello again!

You’ve only got two more days to wait for the My Favorite Things September Release!  We’ve got another fun day of projects featuring more of the upcoming September Release products!

Have I told you how much I love fall? I love summer, too – but fall is always so beautiful and colorful, especially here in the Pacific Northwest!  The leaves start to turn, and the hillsides look like they’re on fire with color!  It’s so amazing!  The trees in the Modern Trees Stamp Set are perfect for creating a fall wonderland!  I stamped the tree trunks in VersaMark and heat embossed them with Gold Embossing Powder.  Then I created a stencil by cutting a circle from acetate, using the Circle Stax Die-Namics Set 1.  and blended some distress inks (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge) to create the tree “halos.”  I’m pretty happy with how these turned out.  I stamped the sentiment from the previously released Fall Friends Stamp Set onto some Hot Fudge Card Stock, and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.  I die cut it out using the Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-Namics, and layered it onto another Slanted Sentiment Strip die cut from Brushed Gold Card Stock.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.
