My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #369!

Hello, friends!

I was so excited to play with this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  It’s an awesome sketch with lots of possibilities for design!  Here’s the sketch:

And my take on the sketch:

I am OBSESSED with the Meant to Bee Stamp Set, and knew when I saw this week’s sketch challenge that this set would be perfect for it! I started with a Smooth White image panel and I blended some Mustard Seed Distress Ink onto the panel using the Mini Chicken Wire Stencil.  I die cut the the outside edge of the image panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics Set 2.  Instead of the circle frame in the sketch, I used the Stitched Hexagon STAX Die-Namics to create a die cut and embossed hexagon in its place.  I actually die cut it directly from the image panel, to retain the ink blended hexagon pattern.  I stamped the bees from the Meant to Bee Stamp Set onto some Smooth White Card Stock and colored them with Copics.  I added some Clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to the bees’ wings, and then I die cut them with the coordinating Meant to Bee Die-Namics.  I stamped the sentiment from the Meant to Bee Stamp Set onto a scrap of Daffodil Card Stock using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder.  I die cut it and a strip of paper from the Black & White Stripes 6 x 6 Paper Pack using the Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-Namics. The card was assembled using foam squares.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the other interpretations of the sketch designed by my teammates. No doubt they’ve come up with some fun ones!  While you’re there, be sure and link up your own take on this week’s challenge sketch for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique.  What have you got to lose?

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’m running around with my friend from the UK on her last day here in Phoenix!  And then I’ll be holed up in my craft room for the indefinite near future until I get caught up on my deadlines!  LOL  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I’ll be back again soon with more crafty stuff!  Have a great day!
