Runway Inspired Challenge #58 and Cas(E) This Sketch #73!
Hola sweet friends!!
Popping in quickly to post a challenge card that I created for some of my favorite challenges! The Runway Inspired Challenge is teaming up with the CAS(E) This Sketch team to do a combined challenge, and I have to say the two combined make for a super fun challenge!
Here’s my take on the two challenges:
As is almost always the case, I tried to simplify the fashion photo, but I probably should have used a little more black than I did. I wanted to create something a little unexpected, so I did my “squint my eyes” trick, and lo and behold, I saw a balloon! LOL I loved the sketch, so it was perfect for placing the balloon off the edge and trimming it to give the appearance that it’s floating off into the atmosphere! I pulled the turquoise and blue from the fashion inspiration and threw on some star die cuts. I feel like this would be a super fun kid birthday card – yes?! It’s super simple compared to all of the other gorgeous entries for both challenges . . . but it makes me happy, so I’m throwing it out there! LOL
There’s still several days to play along with both challenges! You can find the details of both HERE and HERE.
I’ll be popping in again in a few minutes to share a card I created as my first Online Card Class Watercoloring for Card Makers class – I’m sooooo excited about this class, so I can’t wait to get started! I’ll be back, soon!!
ETA: I'm also linking this up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Clean & Simple.

CAS(E) This Sketch #43–Trick or Treat!
Happy Thursday, friends!
I’m back once again, and sadly for the last time as a team member of the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge, with this week’s newest sketch! I’ve decided to step down from the team in order to free up more time for my family. I’ve so enjoyed the past year as a member of the amazing group of ladies that make CAS(E) This Sketch what it is today!! These women rock my socks off every single week, so I know they’ll continue to do so for you all. Plus, I happen to know that some uber talented chicas are being added to the team – but I think that announcement will be made in a few days. I’m looking forward to playing along every now and again as a player rather than a designer.

Ironically, I created this week’s sketch. Guess I’m going out with a bang, huh?! LOL I don’t really send out Halloween cards, but I love creating them. All of the fun icons just make me smile. Those funky little ghosts are some new dies from Impression Obsession. I’ve listed all of the products that I used below.
We’d love to see your CLEAN AND SIMPLE take on this week’s sketch! You can link up your projects over at the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge Blog! While you’re there, be sure and ohhhh and ahhhh over the deliciousness that the CTS team have created for your viewing pleasure.
I want to take this chance to thank Chrissy Larson for being THE most amazing leader of the CAS(E) This Sketch team. Seriously, folks, she is one of the sweetest, most laid back ladies I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. AND she’s phenomenally talented, too – killer combo, I tell ya! And the rest of the fabulous women on the team – I want you all to know that I feel so blessed to have been in the company of such talented and inspiring women. Know that I’ll be stalking each and every one of your blogs on a regular basis, and will do my best to leave you all some love when I have the chance!
That’s it for me today, friends. We’re headed to Lake Chelan for the weekend for a little Bachelorette Party – can’t believe that my daughter’s wedding is just two short weeks away!! Hoping to get a little rest and relaxation in while we’re there – but not holding my breath on that one! LOL Thanks so much for stopping by today. Know that it means the world to me when you do!

CAS(E) This Sketch #42–You Keep Me Anchored
Hello Again!
I can’t believe it’s Thursday again – I swear these days are disappearing right before my eyes. Soon, we’ll be watching our daughter walk down the aisle at her wedding . . . it’s coming up fast!
Well, if it’s Thursday, it must be time for a new CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge! Nath designed this week’s sketch and it’s a super fun one!
I deviated from the sketch just a little bit – surprise, surprise, right?! LOL I picked up these new W Plus 9 Designs stamps and had to ink them up. I grew up in a boating family. I didn’t always love it, but boating was always a part of our family life. As an adult, I’m happier on a big ferry or a luxurious cruise ship. But I do love the water – from a distance! LOL
Be sure and click on through to the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge Blog to see what my CTS sisters have created for your viewing pleasure – no doubt it’s some amazing stuff! We’d love to see your take on Nath’s sketch!!
That’s it for me today, friends. I’ve got plans to spend some time in my craft room this weekend. It’s probably one of my last chances to do so before the wedding. *sigh* I hope you’ve got some crafty plans in your future! Thanks for stopping by – I love it when you do!

CAS(E) This Sketch 41–Better, Together!
Happy Thursday, my sweet friends!!
I’m popping in quickly today to share the latest CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. It’s a doozy designed by our fearless leader, Chrissy!! I flipped it a bit and came up with this:
I broke out some W Plus 9 Designs stamps and dies that had gone unloved until now. They were super fun to work with and will most definitely get used again. I realized after I photographed this, though – I should have stamped the “milk” on top of the straw so that it at least looked like there was something in the bottle to go with those delicious cookies. *smacking my forehead* Oh well! LOL I actually had another idea for this sketch and will do my level best to get it made up and posted here this weekend.
We’d love to see your CLEAN & SIMPLE take on this sketch – you can link up your project over at the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge Blog. While you’re there, please check out the loveliness that my sweet teammates created for your viewing pleasure!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! We’re off to a family wedding on Saturday; I’m hoping to get some BINGO time with my seester on Friday, too. Wish me luck! LOL Wishing you a super fun weekend, too!

CAS(E) This Sketch #40–Celebrate!
Hey!!
Another drive by posting today – lots of busy, busy, busy going on at the Loncon household . . . and will stay busy until my daughter’s wedding on September 15th. We’re ticking things off the list of to-do’s, and that’s a good feeling. But still so many things to do . . . and so little time! Eeekkkk!! So I hope you’ll understand if I’m brief today.
I guess I designed this week’s sketch – it was so long ago that I completely forgot!! LOL It’s a super simple one, though – right?! So simple, which makes for lots of amazing possibilities!
I decided to use some of my most recent acquisitions from My Favorite Things! For me, creating with dies is the fastest way to create something clean and simple. First, I used one of the dies from the Celebrate Die-Namics set. Letters on the edge – freakin’ awesome, I tell ya! I also used the Peek-A-Boo Dots border die. I adhered some colored strips behind the dots, and then adhered the whole thing to the card base with foam tape. Slapped on a few enamel dots and I’m done!! Whoa!! It took me more time to tell you how I made this card than it actually took me to create it! LOL
We’d love to see your clean and simple take on this week’s sketch! You can link it up over at the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge Blog! While you’re there, be sure and check out the goodies that my sweet gal pals created for you all! You won’t be disappointed!
The products I used are listed below. Now, I’m off to do more wedding stuff and get my hair done. My sweet sister and niece are throwing Amy her first bridal shower on Saturday, so we’re pretty excited for that! Hoping you have some lovely plans in your future! Thanks so much for stopping by today – I love it when you do!
