I'm a retired Legal Assistant, married to Garry for the past 32 years, and mom to Ashley who's married to Blake and the mother to my grandsons, Brecken and Brenner, and Amy, an intern for CRU at WSU. I love most paper crafts, but especially rubber stamping and card-making. It is, for me, exactly what the title of my blog says - therapy, it's cheaper than the real thing. I also love to laugh, travel and play BINGO!
Are you ready for some fun? Maybe a little summer celebration…with a LOT of inspiration? Join us this weekend as we hop aboard the Scrapbook News and Review “Oh Say Can You See 4th of July Blog Hop” There will be over 90 blogs participating in this massive event, with blog candy, ideas and inspiration all along the way. The Cuttlebug Challenge Blog is offering a wonderful prize package of a cuttlebug and new CHA Summer release embossing folders. I'll be offering some Blog Candy of my own, right here on my blog!!
The fun begins at the Card Universe at 9am CST, Saturday July 4th. Every blog along the way will have a fun project to share with you, and then point you to the next blog on the hop. Everything will conclude at 10PM CST on Sunday July 5th, giving you plenty of time to enjoy all 95 blogs!
As promised, here I am with some creative goodies for you - one in the form of a card, and another in the form of a fabulous sale that's going on. So let's get to it, shall we?
Today's card is one I made using one of my most favorite stamps EVER!! My friend, Terri, turned me on to these amazingly sweet fairies, and I've been in love ever since. Fairy With Balloon is just one of many beautiful Stamps Happen stamps that I've received from JanLynn. They have a HUGE selection of deeply etched rubber stamps (as well as a TON of other crafty must-haves such as bags, stitching projects, and tools) that include beautiful colored images on the pine blocks. Just fabulous, I tell ya!! I digress . . . . I colored Fairy With Balloon with my new Lyras and Gamsol - in fact, I colored him on my long road-trip from Arizona to Washington in May. I'm just now getting a chance to create something with him. I'm still trying to improve on my Gamsol Magic technique, based on my intense study (code for cyber stalking) of Paula and Linda. It's coming along, but still not where I want it to be. But I'll keep trying, that's for sure!!
That's it for my first creative goodie . . . now on to the other goodie. Today is the LAST DAY to purchase any clear stamp sets from ABC Toys & Crafts, which are all 15% OFF!! If you like Crafty Secrets, My Cute Stamps, Hero Arts, Inkadinkadoo, Penny Black - the list goes on and on - then you need to check this out!! Oh, and while you're visiting ABC Toys & Crafts, check out the Martha Stewart punches - they, too, are 15% OFF!! Julie carries a fabulous selection of Martha Stewart punches (as well as many other MS products), some of which are very hard to find. Hurry up, before they're all gone!!

Here's my sample for this week's Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday challenge! The challenge this week is to create a card using another fabulous sketch from one of resident sketch artists, Joy! Isn't it FABOO?!! And of course, the TWIST is to use black and white and only one other color. I had so much fun with this one. It really inspired some major league mojo from my brain. I just love black and white with a pop of color. Don't you?!! And how flippin' cute is this brand spankin' new dog image from Shirley's 2 Girls. Can't you just hear the wheels turning in his head, asking himself, "Should I, or shouldn't I? Hmmm . . . " LOL This image is called Bark Day (SG 611), and his name is Pogo. This image, along with many other faboo images are available from Shirley's 2 Girls RIGHT NOW!! I feel like Pogo is calling your name. "Buy me! Buy me!!" LOL

I totally forgot that I am Guest Hosting a challenge over on the Res-Q-Challenge blog today!! Have you all seen this blog?! A group of my Virtual Stamp Night Peeps combined efforts to start a blog where you can go to get a Mojo Boost whenever you feel like you need one. There's always fun challenges to get your mojo revived. No time limits, no specific stamp requirements, easy sleasy. Check it out for yourself!! They're a great group of gals that I've come to know and love, and can't imagine my life without them - even if they are computer stamping friends. Hehehe
The theme for this month's challenges is "Gettin' Buggy With it." My job was to come up with a challenge that coincides with the theme. Okay, so I pretty much HATE bugs!! Bugs BITE, which in turn causes welts. YUCK!! My challenge to you is to create a card using embossed polka dots to represent the "bug bites" of summer. You can use a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, a template/mousepad/stylus, ink/embossing powder - you can do anything you like as long as the dimension from your "bug bites" can be seen. If you choose to participate, please place a direct link to your card/project on Mr. Linky HERE. You can find additional information about the challenge HERE. We'd love to have you play along with us - especially if you need your mojo Res-Q'd!! The deets of my card are below.
I'm down here with my sister floating on my floatie and sipping iced tea - or something that looks like iced tea. Hehehe The weather has been amazing, and I'm trying to soak up as much of the sun as I can before I return to rainy Washington. Actually, it's been a beautiful spring in Washington so far, so I guess I shouldn't complain, right?!!
So, on to the business at hand. I noticed the other day (although it seems to be MIA right now) that my blog counter said I've exceeded 10,000 hits!! Holy cow!! Never in a million years did I imagine that 10,000 people would look at my blog. But it just thrills me that you all have visited and blurfed my stuff. You have no idea how much that just makes me smile every time I look at that counter. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for that. So, when I return to Washington on Saturday, I plan to put together some blog candy unlike any you've ever seen before as a huge thank you to my readers. Watch for that announcement first thing next week, okay?
Second, I have a little secret that I'm just bursting to share with you, but I can't just yet. Check back here tomorrow . . . same place, same time . . . and I'll whisper it in your ear. Okay?!! Really, I'm just so excited, I've been doing the happy dance all morning!!
Well, once again, you all have blown my socks off with your beautiful creations in response to Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday #14. The level of creativity and inspiring techniques just amaze me, and it seems that week after week I learn something new from each and every one of you. But, alas, there can only be one winner. And the winner this week is:
