Happy Birthday, Daughter!

Hello Peeps!!

Happy Friday!!  Once again, I’m barely staying afloat with all of my deadlines and commitments, and I’m babysitting my 16 mo. old grandson, too!!  Don’t get me wrong – I’m not complaining!  I love every minute of my life!  Just letting you know that I’m doing a bit of a balancing act these days – I just don’t want you to forget about me!  LOL

Karolyn - Kinfolk

I thought I’d pop in and share another of the samples that I created for the newest Paper Smooches release!  Kim can draw and design flower images like nobody’s business.  Her floral silhouette stamps are some of my most fave.  Here, I combined the new Calico set (free with $60 purchase) with her Reflections set, and used the coordinating Reflections dies, as well.  In order to get that soft layered stamp look, I flipped the silhouette flowers over on my acrylic block and inked them up with a lighter pink ink – then stamped them.  Next, I inked up the normal side of the stamp with a darker pink ink, and stamped on top of the first stamped image.  The effect is so pretty, and adds that extra little bit of oomph and whimsy to really show off those silhouettes.  I actually used quite a few Paper Smooches stamps and dies for this project – I’ve linked them all up below for you.  I believe that Kim has some other fun projects that she’s sharing over at the Paper Smooches blog today, so be sure and click on through to see for yourself.

I’m off to the Children’s Museum with my grandson – he loves it there, so I’m excited to have some fun with him!  I’m hoping that you have an amazing Friday planned, too.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Know that the time you spend here is so appreciated by me!!

This is just beautiful Karolyn! I'm so glad you're not so over committed that you can't take time out for for a trip to the museum. Hope it's a wonderful day for you both.
