Paper Smooches - Royal Cuteness

Hi Friends!

Sorry that I’ve been so scarce lately.  We are in full-on wedding mode around here, so my life is a bit occupied of late.  Less than two weeks to the big day – my head is swimming with details!  LOL  Sadly, my brain doesn’t shut down at night, so I’m only getting a few hours of sleep these days, too . . . hoping that it all comes together so I can get all that clutter out of my brain!  LOL

Wanted to pop in quickly to share a couple of Paper Smooches projects that I created for this month’s new release.  All of them feature the stamp set Royal Cuteness and the coordinating dies.  My first project uses that sweet frog.  I die cut him out, stamped him, and adhered him to the “lily pad” with some dimensional tape.  Want to know how I made that sweet lily pad?  I die cut an oval using the Ovals 1 dies; then I punched a triangle using a flag punch that I’ve had in my punch drawer forever.  It worked like a charm!  Oh, and that word bubble?  I used the Word Bubbles square die, but realized that the opening was too small for the sentiment.  So I placed the die back onto my card front, sliding it up a bit to remove more of the word bubble, and then ran it through my die cut machine again!  Voila – a bigger opening for the sentiment!  Here’s what the inside of the card looks like:

I had so much fun with that one, that I decided to try another.

How cute is that sweet little princess?  She was die cut and stamped, then her dress was paper pieced.  Her crown even has a little sparkle!  You might not be able to see it clearly, but I stamped the “castle” image from the set behind the sentiment in pink, then stamped the sentiment over the top of it.  The “magic mirror” was created using the Duo Die 1.

My final project focuses on the “glass slipper.”  I die cut the slipper out of some sparkly silver card stock that I had in my stash.  Then I die cut a circle so that the slipper was in the center.  I stamped the slipper onto the turquoise panel, through the die cut negative, and then added some silver glitter on the bow.

This is such a fun set to play with!  That’s it for me today, friends.  I think Kim is sharing some other fun stuff over at the Paper Smooches Blog – check it!  I may be a bit scarce over the next couple of weeks, so hopefully you all will understand.  Once the wedding is over, we’ll be spending some quality time with our two grandsons before we head south for the winter.  Gotta get those gamma snuggles in, don’tcha know!  Thanks for stopping by – I so appreciate it when you do!  Have a great weekend!

You amaze me....you're able to create these fabulous cards even with a head full of wedding plans!

These really are royally ca-utie patootie! Your cards promote the versatility of this set so well! Your magic slipper card is amazing - I love how you die cut the shoe in the silver circle!

Wishing you a beautiful & memorable day when your sweet Cinderella marries her Prince Charming!
