Well, hello again!
As promised a few days ago, I’m here to share a couple of samples that I created for the March/April Paper Smooches new release. So let’s get to it, shall we?
This card was inspired by a technique that I learned from Julie Ebersol in the last Online Card Class: CAS3. The focus of the class was on ideas and techniques for Clean & Simple cards. Julie’s technique taught us how to emboss a label die onto the front of a card at the same time that you’re embossing your card front. See those triangles and the stitched frame (Frame 1 Die)? Well, I embossed those at the same time!! It’s super easy to do, and I think gives some yummy texture and interest, don’t you? The sentiment is from the new Bold Buzzwords stamp set. I actually did two versions of this project. Here’s the other one:
The difference between the two cards is that I stamped the three little hearts that are included with the Bold Buzzwords stamp set. The hearts are fun, but I think I like the plain one better. What do you think?
My next project features the coordinating dies that were recently released for the My Guy stamp set. My husband is an avid golfer, and he actually has a darling little golf cart that looks just like the little cutie on my card! With Father’s Day coming up soon, I’m thinking that one of my daughters will be stealing this card from my stash. Heehee
So, sadly this will be my last post as a Paper Smooches design team member. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the team for the last year and a half, and have grown and learned so much since Kim gave me this amazing opportunity. To be a part of this amazingly talented group of women has been a dream come true. Seriously, these ladies inspire me every single day. But it’s time for me to step aside and make room for another brilliantly talented lady to join in the fun and share their magic with you all. I believe that Kim will be announcing the new team members over at the Paper Smooches blog – I’m sure you’re going to love them as much as I do! I will continue to support Paper Smooches, and my sweet friend, Kim. I want to thank Kim for giving me the opportunity to be a part of her team and for being my friend. I’ll still be around, but will now be watching PS blossom and grow from afar. *sniff* *sniff*
That’s it for me today, kids! Thank you for dropping by today. I’ll be popping in tomorrow to share the card I made for my mom’s birthday. In the meantime, I hope you all have a great day!

Wonderful cards! You will be truly missed over at PS!
I will miss you but know you'll never be too far!!! <3 ya! :)
I will miss seeing your creative, terrific projects, Karolyn! I appreciate all that I have learned from you. I'm sure Kim will miss you as much as you miss her. GOOD LUCK with future endeavors! :)
PS will not be the same without you! Your enthusiasm for Kim's product was truly contagious (ask me how I know - $$$$$ product!).
Three fab cards! Both 'Thanks' cards are sweet as ever, but I also prefer the one without the hearts. White space makes my heart race...almost as fast as a good bingo win does!
Your golfing card....will once again send Kim's sales of this stamp & die set through the roof! And I'm not talking house roof but something in the lines of a cathedral ceiling!!! Beyond sweet...just like you :)
I just arrived to your blog with this card! It´s such fun! I love it!!! Good luck in your new step!! :)
