The Cutting Edge Challenge #6–Thanks, Teacher!

Well, hello!

Did you think I fell off the face of the earth again?  It has seriously been a crazy week here at our house, but I did have a chance to get into my craft room to play along with this week’s Cutting Edge Challenge.  So let’s get to it, shall we?

http://thecuttingedgechallenge.blogspot.com/

This week’s inspiration is brought to you by the sweet Amy Kolling.  Be still my heart!  The clean lines, the delicious color palette, the summery subject matter – it all just makes my heart skip a beat!  But I was most inspired by the layout.  Here’s what I created in answer to the challenge:

CEC6 - Thanks Teacher

August always reminds me that school will start soon.  Not sure why anymore, since my kids are long ago out of school.  But this time of year always reminds me of school supplies and new shoe shopping, and the hustle and bustle that the new school year brings.  I thought this project would be fun to duplicate a few times and give as a set to someone’s favorite teacher.  Or perhaps you have a teacher friend?  I used dies as well as my Silhouette Cameo this week, and had a ball creating it!  I’ve listed the products that I used below.

Store Credit 25

This week’s challenge is being sponsored by Ellen Hutson, which means that the winner will win a $25 gift certificate to her store!  BONUS!  You should totally click on through to the Cutting Edge Challenge Blog for all the details of this week’s challenge, as well as some amazing inspiration from my sweet teammates!  Which reminds me – we have a new teammate!  But you’ll have to click on through to the Cutting Edge Challenge Blog to see who it is!!  You’re going to love her as much as we do!

That’s it for me today, friends!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I plan to spend the weekend with my adorable 2 year old grandson.  I’ll be busy for sure, but the best kind of busy ever!  Hoping you have some fun plans ahead, too!

I love your card Karolyn. The apple is awesome. I love the green sentiment, it really pops off of the card :) Cx
